Similar story. I picked mine up, same color on August 10th in Florida. No markups except a $499 tint add on. I traded my 2022 Hyundai Veloster N and waited a week before deciding since i loved that car. This is my first EV and i love it and drive the hell out of it! I have no regrets.
We know that many people are looking forward to the new sounds of IONIQ 5 N. But it's not as simple as it sounds. This is because it is a sound that provides a lot of feedback while driving. Hyundai has put a lot of effort into improving sound. The same goes for new sounds. It takes a lot of time. I am also waiting and looking forward to it.
Yeah, I assumed that it would be relatively simple & that we’d see lots of aftermarket programs with more realistic sounds, since those haven’t come to pass, I’ll conclude that it’s either difficult to do, or that it has to be done with Hyundai’s help.
The reason the NGB turns off e-shift is that the way e-shift works is it limits power to simulate a torque curve and shift power blips. NGB requests maximum power so the two options are opposing goals and you just can't do both at the same time.
I hope Hyundai is working on a stick shift version to allow us to row through the gears and never worry about blowing a clutch or wearing out a clutch. I'd love to have the option to shift and then turn it off when not feeling the itch 😁
That would be pretty wonderful. I think it’d take a lot more effort & programming than the paddles & I wonder if there are enough people like us to make it worth their time. I’d like to think so, but when I see how few standard vehicles are left, I’m a little dispirited😞
Hardly a M3P competitor. Until Tesla goes full send with a Performance with better heat management, braking, and more controlled rear end. Ioniq 5N with all its fun gimicks will continue to be the better enthusiast car. M3P does win as a daily for non-enthusiast or those ready to mod.
Then there is the detail that the 5 N has more knee and headroom in the back then a model Y... Very relevant for those who can actually use the added space
@@onehorsepower No brainer to go with a i5N. Hyundai just needs to improve their manufacturing to scalable levels to minimize cost and spend. Tesla SC compatibility, and move on from legacy dealership sales model. Tesla and Rivian are great DTC examples.
@@ChrisParayno The point is. Hyundai pulled all the stops for a performance variant beyond a badge. Tesla had an opportunity to do the same with the latest M3P refresh. Their goal was market share, they did well there. Not the performance enthusiast are asking for.
For the ice niose you can do this get a glydesphere speaker and get the app Revheads but it's nice that a auto manufacturer has finally added the right noise and feel like a German gas car
I mean come on the Ioniq is so much better looking than the Tesla, even if they were the same money there would only be one winner and the fact it's better in almost every way seals the deal.
Damn that GT in the back is super nice. Got me one too and I'm waiting to mod it some more. Honestly I think it looks better than the 5N. I feel like the 5N is just too racer boy looking for me. I wish Hyundai would've brought over the N-line trim for 25 instead of making that ugly XRT trim. I was set on getting the 5 for the longest time but decided to try out the GT and feel on love with it knowing that the US spec 5N was gonna be comprised way too much for my liking. I wanted the GT cause I wanted an opening sunroof so that sealed the deal for me. Going faster will always be nicer of course but honestly it's not everything for me. The interior for example is nicer in the GT imo. The outside is just as nice as the 5N. I just don't like the back of the GT as much but it has grown on me so I'm ok with it. I think dropping it will make it look a lot nicer along with some more mods.
It is not a similar car to GT and 5N. Never buy GT instead of 5N. It can't run like 5N and it will break the circuit after just two laps of the circuit that takes 2 minutes
Many people pay attention to the fake sound, but The technology implemented in 5N will develop into a technology that simulates all ICE ENGINE types and TRANSMISSIONs with one click in the future. They don't seem to care about the quality of the sound itself at the moment, because it is the easiest of their goals to implement the sound as if it were real, so it is far below their priority.
I just picked my 5n up - it’s amazing….but get this, it doesn’t come with floor mats and for the life of me I can’t figure out where to get some. Where did you get yours?
