    Is there a way to disable the flashing red light when in stand by mode?

    • @Wholelattelovepage

      Hi, If you turn off power switch at rear of machine light will stop.

    • @JacksonC-k2q

      @@Wholelattelovepage thanks. My understanding is we should be leaving it on so it doesn’t need to be “warm-up”next day. Only to turn it off when not in use for a longer period of time.

      @@JacksonC-k2q Perfectly okay to turn off the power switch on back after the machine does it rinse when turning off front power. Very little if any difference in initial heat up when shutting off rear power.

    Thanks for these insightful videos! My machine (Brera) has a red-blinking standby button only when I switch it on at the back. All I can manage to get it to do is descaling mode but nothing else. Any suggestions?

    • @Wholelattelovepage

      Hi fc, So when you press the flashing standby button the machine does not turn on? If indicating it needs descaling then I would descale the machine. If not letting you turn the machine on and you purchased in North America please contact our tech support team here for additional assistance: www.wholelattelove.com/pages/contact-us

    Im getting the priming symbol constantly; I tried the video where I took the panels off and made sure the electrical parts were all in place; put the machine back together and nothing has changed; it keeps asking to be primed; when it primes then goes to the rinsing it seems to be working but then you hear the rinsing cycle slow and is very quiet just at the end before the symbols come back up

      It's likely the selector valve is leaking, allowing the pressure to drop and forcing the re-priming of the machine. Mine did this, and replacing that valve solved it.

    Hi. I got an indicator telling me to prime the machine. After priming I tried pulling a shot and the machine only dispensing on one side instead of two where the coffee comes out...

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Brandon, Don't think the priming is related to single spout delivery. The dual spout delivery is fed by a single pipe which terminates in the spout housing. It's not unusual to sometimes have one spout flow a little more than the other. Could be because the machine is slightly tilted or there's a little resistance to flow in one of the spouts and then coffee takes path of least resistance through the other one. Try cleaning the spouts at the exits.

    Brilliant I love your videos, I have a recurring problem with my gaggia brera, when you turn it on and it starts to flash the green lights that go across....they go on and on and on, sometimes for over 4 mins. Eventually they turn off and then I'm ready to make a brew..What can this be? any ideas? Thanks

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our Brera expert suggests you start with a deep cleaning of the brew group and see if that helps. Here's a link to a very detailed video on the deep cleaning process. Please let us know if it helps: th-cam.com/video/HGmfnGN_JQA/w-d-xo.html

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Paul OFlynn Thought you might have seen the other video - but just in case. Discussed again with our Brera expert and he had this to say:
      "During the Time of these flashing lights. The machine is heating up, then cycles the brew unit and rinses, then cycles back, then ready to go. So It depends. To me, it seems like it could be taking a long time to heat up, which could be stats - boiler - board - temp sensor. Especially if the brew group cycles , rinses and returns with no problems. This is strange, I've never heard of these lights cycling for a long period of time."
      I then added in the part about water everywhere... his feeling is that indicates a rather major issue. Hard to say exactly what that issue might be without taking the machine apart. He was curious how old the machine was - if many years, he agrees it's probably better to replace than repair.
      Sorry, doesn't seem there's an easy fix for this.

    • @hcv500
      @hcv500 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for you come back, the machine is around 2-3 years old. I think I might try another make as the further I read into this brand the more I am getting the feeling they are poor. It's a lot of money for just a few years but it's money I would have wasted on beer( which I do not drink anymore) so i have not missed it.
      Any recommendations for a similar brand and machine would be great. Thanks again Paul

      I believe this indicates a general failure detected in the post operation (power-on-self--test). In my case, it turns out the grinder motor had failed. You can test it by making a shot with pre-ground beans in the override chute. If it works, you can attach a volt meter to the two motor leads and see if there's a voltage spike immediately before the four lights start flashing. It should normally read 120V DC. If it shoots up and immediately drops back down (along with the four light error), you probably found your issue. I will know very soon as I ordered a new grinder assembly. In theory, the motor speed sensor detects no rotation and tells the microprocessor to abandon the process and indicate an error. I just made a few shots with pre-ground coffee and the manual override. Yum.

    Hi Guys: I have a Gaggia Brega. I ran the descaling solution through it. The pump needed priming, I followed the instructions. I ran water through the steam wand - works fine. However there is no water coming out of the brew unit. I have cleaned out the filter in the brew unit. From what I have seen on TH-cam the pump may be clogged. Since I don't have the tools to fix or replace the pump may I ask if you guys can service my machine? I live down the street from you in Fairport, so I can drop it off at your office. Please help as I miss my morning latte - also my wife is threatening me with dire consequences. Please advise.
