    This is my dream car. My dream car is a Kia. I have no problem with that. I drive a Cadenza SXL and absolutely love it.

      I had a Cadenza SXL for 4 years till it got totaled. Loved it, not a single issue. Hope to replace it with this....

      This or the Kia Cadenza is my primary alternate car behind the 2017 (or later) Buick LaCrosse! Several other TH-cam reviewers consider the Cadenza and LaCrosse competitors and I'm ok with that!

      @@jaredshelton4718 yes, kia knew in the first place that they couldn’t compete in america due to its badge. i think stinger will live for a bit though, not as big a flop in sales as the k900 and cadenza

    This KIA is very well built. I love it. I am considering getting one myself. I feel it is a much better bargain than an S-class and especially the 7 series. I've seen alot of complaints about depreciation but many fail to remember that a new 2019 S560 will cost you about $110k with taxes and dealer fees. And yes, many say just lease it, but even a lease on a new s-class runs over $1100 a month and that's with perfect credit and your first born as down payment. In 2 to 3 years that $110k investment has dwindled down in value to probably around $45 to $55k which is a 50% drop. I would rather have the k900 at half the price and keep it for about 4 years and it'll still have warranty and the trade in residual value won't hurt as much.

      I love the K900. Coming from a former 7 series owner, I'd get the K900 over both. Just a fantastic car

    KIA is unlikely to sell many K900's in the US but that's not the point. It's a very popular alternative to German luxury brands in Asia. For example, the Korean version of the K900 cut the sales of upper level models of Mercedes and BMW in the Korean home market by about a third last year. In the US the K900 is a halo model designed to draw customers to KIA showrooms where it can be admired by customers who purchase less expensive KIA models. They'll sell a few to luxury buyers who care more about value than prestige but the more important mission is to further bury KIA's earlier reputation as a "cheap" brand and to add to the image of models like the Stinger and the forthcoming Telluride.

  • @cruzfamily6
    @cruzfamily6 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    It is definitely worth the price of admission in my opinion. Yes the other luxury cars are very well built but they come at a premium. I feel that the k900 is a middle point where more people can actually afford to have a luxury ride. Plus, as of today, many of the 2019 k900 for sale on autotrader are deeply discounted. The $64k model I have seen for as low as $50k. That's half the price of a new 2019 s560. With that much of a difference I can buy a whole other $45k-$50k car. Two cars for the price of one.

      I was considering the K900 until I spoke to a few Kia dealers. I live in the Washington DC area, and there is only one dealer that sells the K900 in the entire area, and that dealer is 38 miles away from me. Since the K900 requires a K900-trained mechanic, I would need to take it to this dealership 38 miles away for any warranty work. This is not a good consumer experience. Although the Kia K900 is a nice car with quality components, it may be worth considering if you live near one of a few dealers that sell this car.

    Wish you had done comparisons to its more apt competitors, such as the CT6, Continental, S90, and Q70L. They can all be had for about this price and offer competing space. Not everyone wants to drop 6 figures for a big car.

      @@swanblake Sure but good luck keeping up with the maintenance and unreliability. You've heard the saying right? "There's nothing more expensive than a cheap German car" Plus you'd not get a fully loaded 7 like the K900 is for the same price, because this one would have depreciated more, and has a lower MSRP to start with. Compare 2015 K900 V8 vs. 7 series and see the equipment level as an example.

    It actually does not sit on the same platform as the G90. Its its own unique design. Same designer Albert Biermann but thats it.

  • @johnholst
    @johnholst 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    At this price point, this car has no equal in the world. With any car you want to compare this to, you have to add the expression, "but...". For example the 7 Series? But it's twice the price. Fully loaded 3 Series? Same price, but half the car. I've been in this car and comparable German competitors. The K9 is 90 percent of the car, but less than 50 percent of the price.

    Problem is buying this car means you have to deal with Kia sales and service. I mean seriously do you want to interact with same service advisor for a Soul and Forte who is trained to push back on pimpleface’s cheap ride? Or with college educated Greg or Ashley who are service advisors at your friendly BMW stealership or old man or woman ridership Lexus? Take Greg or Ashley any day.

    • @swanblake

      That is my biggest concern. The local dealer here was a converted Mitsubishi dealer. It's small and obnoxious

    • @stephenhendricks103
      @stephenhendricks103 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My experience with several KIA dealers is that there's considerable variation in the quality of service. In my case I've owned both a 2012 and a 2018 Kia Sorento purchased from two different dealers and the service experience is vastly different. My impression is that KIA has spent a lot of effort and resources setting a higher bar for their service departments as well as the sales experience in recent years. And while I own a top trim Sorento, not a K900, I've been impressed by the care and detailed service I've received. Considering that any individual dealer is likely to sell few K900's, I suspect the service experience will be first rate. It's true that the service advisor is unlikely to speak German or that we can chat about foreign policy issues but I'm skeptical that a college education should be considered a job requirement for a good service experience.
