    This stream looks like it would have contained some gold in days past. Excellent fishing and casting with the reeds overhanging etc.

    What you put on your fly at 9:29? Scent?

      It’s a desiccant which dries the fly and helps it float better after catching a few fish on it

    G’day Tom , is there any way for you to film closeup shots of fly landing and fish taking fly ? . good videos ❤

    Why would you be underlining when casting close? Or is that a typo in the gear specs? Not being a smartass just genuinely interested in the thought process/plan.

      Yes I pretty much always underline when dry fly fishing rivers. Lands more softly, picks up and mends more easily and is more accurate because the rod tip flexes and deviates less

    Hi Tom, Why are you using 9ft rod on this small river.. I usually use 7.6ft rod 3wt moderate fast at max.. with all these trees and bushes. That 9ft 4wt does not bent at all..

      Since he’s standing in the middle of the stream and casting straight upstream for the most part, the longer rod probably doesn’t affect casting too much. And according to the description, he underlines his rod for a softer presentation. Probably why it’s not flexing so much.

    Hey Tom, that's not a big fly compared to what most tie on- have you seen the size of the stimulators and hoppers people are chunking around?😂

    Hello Tom, first time Trout angler here. Can you please tell me what it was yo put that FLY into, when yo put it into that plastic bottle?

    • @tomjarmanfishing3208
      @tomjarmanfishing3208  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Angus, it’s a powdered desiccant that absorbed the moisture out of your fly after you have caught a fish or it’s become waterlogged. Cheers, Tom
