Your best Goulburn River video yet. Extremely informative, fantastic fishing and the background sounds of nature (the river, cicadas, bird sounds etc) makes for a great video.
That section is so hard to recognise now since the recent floods and the damage it did and totally new flows in the stream. My family had a full time huge tent at the caravan park there and friends managed the place in the late 70s/early 80s. It’s where I learned to fly fish from a guy who camped next to us. Knew every inch of that river from there up to the quarry and down to the junction. Great times
@ downstream of breakaway. You can see the avenue of poplars in the background. Traditionally not a great stretch but everything is new with the new flow.
Awesome stuff Tom. Just brilliant!!! Heading back to the G early in the new year, so watching your session is an early Chrissy present. Hopefully I can emulate a quarter of it! Tell me you left old wonky jaw for me to catch too😂 😉 .
Thanks for this video. Excellent as always. Can I ask what the flow rate was when you were filming? It looks high, but you seem to be wading without much bother.
Okay, that's it Tom, next time you have to close your eyes while nymphing into the sun. Maybe a blindfold ... then with the dry 🙂 Great stuff. Always learn from your vids and just love that Vic scenery & all the great fish. Cheers PP

Can I ask which section of the Goulburn this is? I'm just getting into flyfishing and have never fished the G.

Glad you enjoyed it, and it was 3000 at the start of the day but was increasing.
Cheers,
Tom
@tomjarmanfishing3208 Thank you and I'm glad it did not come over the top of your bib.
Great video Tom, just curious what level was the river running at here?
Didn't realise they had clear biggish rivers there. Rivers I saw were all brown and manky
