The Spirited Man is an unlimited series about the spirited man or woman who lives inside all of us (and fixing things).
ABOUT VAN NEISTAT:
A pioneer in digital filmmaking, Van Neistat made his first internet video, The Holland Tunnel, in 2000. He went on to collaborate with New York City artist Tom Sachs, directing a series of short films shown at the Guggenheim Museum in Berlin. Van has since directed dozens more films for the Tom Sachs Studio. In 2010 HBO aired The Neistat Brothers, an 8-episode series of short videos made entirely by Van and his brother Casey Neistat. Van Neistat’s directorial debut feature, A SPACE PROGRAM, co-written by Tom Sachs, premiered at the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival and opened in theaters nation-wide in spring, 2016. In 2018 Neistat Directed the short film Paradox Bullets, co-written with Tom Sachs, narrated by Werner Herzog, and starring Ed Rushca. Neistat has written and directed commercial projects for Nike, Hurley, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, J. Crew, Twitter, Sleepy Jones and Frances Valentine. I've actually used this trick to fix so much stuff. It works best with liquid CA glue. You can even make fillets to reinforce stuff using this trick.
And if your CA glue hardens in the tube before you get to use it, store it in the fridge door. It makes it last much longer.
Model builders and miniature makers do the same thing! It also helps when you want to make sand look right at 28mm scale!

Everyday I wake up blessed about few things. This man or his brother dropping a TH-cam video make the list every god damn time.

I’ve known the super glue/baking soda trick for a long time for other things (I’ve used it as structural pieces for sunglasses, random broken things around the house, you can literally sculpt with it if you wanted, it’s that strong), never even thought about using it on a cars finish. Thanks!

That number plate has a few tricks of its own. First it partially hides behind the bicycle, then it hides itself behind some tape (now on the middle of the truck I might add), and for it's final act it simply disappears

Baking soda is a “kicker” of CA glue. Makes it dry almost instantly, while giving you some substance to work with/sand down/build up. There are spray variants like “Zip Kicker” that do the same thing without the added substance of baking soda. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I used this technique on a lot of stuff. Plate or favorite cup break? Super glue it back together. Little bits or the porcelain missing? Fill them in with baking soda and super glue. Perfect.

I got a nick in the paint of my 4Runner within weeks getting it. What I did was use the Toyota paint touch up pen and instead of painting with a pen I used the rough edge to scratch out the area where the scratch was I then cleaned it with alcohol and let it dry and then I used a Sim card ejector tool to paint inside the scratch, just filling the area. I dabbed the paint into a paper plate and then use the ejector tool to dab from that. I likely could also have used a needle. The Key with the touch up inside of the scratched area and not over.
