The Spirited Man is an unlimited series about the spirited man or woman who lives inside all of us (and fixing things).
ABOUT VAN NEISTAT:
A pioneer in digital filmmaking, Van Neistat made his first internet video, The Holland Tunnel, in 2000. He went on to collaborate with New York City artist Tom Sachs, directing a series of short films shown at the Guggenheim Museum in Berlin. Van has since directed dozens more films for the Tom Sachs Studio. In 2010 HBO aired The Neistat Brothers, an 8-episode series of short videos made entirely by Van and his brother Casey Neistat. Van Neistat’s directorial debut feature, A SPACE PROGRAM, co-written by Tom Sachs, premiered at the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival and opened in theaters nation-wide in spring, 2016. In 2018 Neistat Directed the short film Paradox Bullets, co-written with Tom Sachs, narrated by Werner Herzog, and starring Ed Rushca. Neistat has written and directed commercial projects for Nike, Hurley, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, J. Crew, Twitter, Sleepy Jones and Frances Valentine. His work has been exhibited in museums throughout the world. He lives in Topanga, California.

Every time I watch one if these videos I end up fixing or improving something around my house. So far I've fixed a gate, a sink, made some new tool storage, and ran a new air line in my garage.

I think a major takeaway from this movie, actually a lot of Van's movies, is that surrounding ourselves with other spirited and inspiring people is an important part of advancing one's life in a proper direction. Very excited to get to know about Claudia and I hope Shelly makes more appearances.

I’d bet that he never will. Casey has 10 years of time up his sleeve (that is hard to beat) and Van’s work is much less main stream/TH-cam than Casey.

I watch these videos. Fully engaged as he fixes a air hose. A task I have done countless times. I get fully lost in the cadence of his voice, the cinematic shots. Fully involved in these little tasks and then he turns the corner so masterfully bringing it all together. I doubt I worded that properly but he is a genius
he reminds of Mark Cousins a little bit, he has a way of storytelling his clips/movies/documentaries that it's soooo relaxing to me, I can't even explain it

Just when we are left with over grown children with too much money and less than honorable intentions. When gossip channels are the standards of moral compass...and Casey Neistat leaves the field to raise his children and have a life.
One man , a spirited man rises from the ashes, to show what real creativity looks like. How shorts can look a complete movie in a few moments. Leaving people like me, wishing for more.

Nicely put. It takes quite a bit of sifting through the crap on the platform to find the gems. Fortunately, I discovered Casey Neistat about 7 years ago and watched his vlog religiously every day. Now that he has moved on to a new chapter, I am in a very happy place having his older brother Van take the reins. Him and Tom Sachs are among the few channels I watch these days.
Van, I think you've transmitted this emotion artfully. I felt tears of joy when you said Shelly is the type of man you want to be. What a reward to be Shelly and watch this video. This entire channel is a master-stroke. Well done sir. Keep making things for us, we need it.

WHY DID I THINK THE SOUND OF THE FIRST MINUTE OF THE VIDEO WAS NATURAL?!?!? Its all added on "ambiance" background music, but it just sounds so natural with the pacing, and FEEL of the video that i just assumed it was always there.
