  • As requested here's a slightly longer video, a time lapse with some rambling voiceover. I quite enjoyed doing the commentary so I may do another, depends who likes it 😁 A good couple of hours tinkering.

    Enjoyed the longer vid. Thankyou. My suggestions for finishing off the painted/coated is to clear coat in matt finish. That would keep the look of the bits as they are and you wouldn't have to worry about it getting wet. The tank will corrode over time if not polished or kept dry. The discoloration looks ace but will also corrode if it gets wet. Just my opinion.

    Perhaps a 2nd camera giving us a look from the bench👍🏻.

    Love the longer video with more info. Next suggestion would be to move the camera around a bit to get different angles. This will keep people more engaged and maybe even stop the time lapse a couple of times and give a live explanation of what's going on. Again might be more effort than you're interested in but I think you'll see some pretty good dividends in retention time in total views. This is one of those projects that could really grab people's attention if the algorithm decides to push it.

      I know exactly what you mean. I good friend of mine does just that. Check out his channel '5 minutes in the shed' and you'll see what I mean. Great triumph restoration and worth a look. Maybe one day, but I've got enough to do just finishing the project. 😁 Good suggestions though so thanks for that.

    The only thing i would change bud is the crank breather , it don't look right on that long pipe ? Any thoughts on summit else ?
    Still my number one project to follow 😁😁🤘🤘🤘

      Thanks. The pipe is hanging in the breeze at the moment as the new head doesn't have a mounting for it. It'll look better when it's tidied up. It might even be a little under size. It's open at the moment as the one way valve is quite restrictive. Work in progress.....

    Has it ever been started yet?

    • @StoneEng
      @StoneEng  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. We're close but it hasn't run yet. No secret attempts. It needs wiring, ignition timing, the decompressor itself & a couple of other things. A full list is on the way

    What's going on with that rear tire, looks like it spun forever!

    • @StoneEng
      @StoneEng  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The rear bearings are really good. It spins for a good 3-4 mins. I like to give it a push now and then to give some motion to the video. (I don't move all that quick in real life 😁).

      But the sprockets didn't! How's that?

    • @StoneEng
      @StoneEng  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The sprockets aren't bolted to the wheel yet. When the gearbox is fitted I'll be able to measure the final alignment. Then I can make the distance pieces. It's got a few people that one! 😁
