When doing the test its sounded like you where compairing the 446 analogue radio to the R7 running Dmr digital. If so then there is no comparison two different audio formats. Also why would you test against a radio at 500mw to 5watt radio doesnt make sense. ?
OMG I'm sorry but both radio's are completely useless, my old Motorola GP340's cover upto 2 miles in built up areas and a lot further in open terrain, anyone who just needs short range communications should purchase PMR446 and save your money, thanks for doing the range test, excellent video

the sound is scanning the frequency You don´t do that with th T82 so it doesn´t connect?

Ive gotten better range than that from t470 which looks same as the t82 ive gotten like 5 km must be a lot of obstructions where you are

FRS radio's gets further than that only on 2 watts.

under F C C rules that is the limit on G M R S it is 5 watt's I have a license
@donalderickson-si8ww I do to. I just got my R7. It's pretty good but now I'm a Harris fan. It has more encryption levels.
R7 is absolute rubbish, nowhere near as sensitive on rx as other motorola dmrs
