You can, just make sure the coils are for your brand of stove. They are about 35 dollars for a set of four on amazon.
Just bypass that sensi temperature technology. 5 mins is all it takes
How..?
How do you do that?
How to do that
@@shobhashakya6141 Just buy regular universal elements and replace.
So our brand new GE stove, one week old has these stupid things.
1. Every burner gets hot without a pan on it, broken or.....?
2. The front right burner gets wildly hot on the number 1 setting an spinning the know doesn't seem to effect it, like legit is just hot AF no matter what setting
3. Is this stove defective or what? We are in a rental an have been for 10 years with no issues with the stove that was from the early 80's!
I'm curious about the new stove management put in my apartment today that has these burners. I turned them on to see if all of them worked and they got really hot quickly without having anything on the burner. After turning them off the burners stayed hot for awhile. I don't know what I'm in store for.
The death of the coil top stove.
Look at other reviews dont buy it. While they are preventing fire , you won't be able to cook at all. The burner constantly goes on off . You will probably have to buy new pots pans.
bought a regular coil burner stove home depot, they delivered a sensi temp piece of junk....ge sucks
A piece of CRAP stove !!! I had 1 n I returned the crap .
It doesn't make no sense u get a stove n u have have 2 figure out if the frying p is flat r not in order 4 it 2 work .
Set the nickel on the button, then set the pan down......you're welcome!!
Mine is brand new and doesn’t work. Not dirty
Thanks, I just got one of these awful stoves, and this really helps explain why it isn't working properly.
Can we buy aftermarket burgers to replace these garbage coils?
Thank you.
shtty technology ..how to disable it?
Everywhere on the internet that you can find comments from people who have these burners NO ONE LIKES THEM!! EVERYONE HATES THEM! I HATE THEM!! YOU CAN'T COOK SHIT AND IT TAKES FOREVER TO COOK ANYTHING!! These will not last long! There are way to many complaints!!
Waste of time video. It doesn't even matter... You can have the right size pot with a flat bottom, get a good boil going and for no reason the coil will turn off. It's designed not to get too hot. IT'S A STOVE!!!! We need heat to cook!!!!! It's just like those stupid new cars that know better than you how to drive. I'll be damned if I let a car or any appliance tell me how to do anything!!!!!
I just bought it and it’s the worst range I ever had I don’t recommend it,, it is a range that you can’t use 😒😒😒😒😒😒
I just got one and I am worried because it makes a clicking sound while using. Can anybody tell me if its normal ?
Yes my GE Hotpoint stove does that as well, my guess is to alert the user to when something is boiling maybe? So annoying, it sounds like bells going off. I had 2 of the 4 sensi-temp burners switched out for old fashioned CalRod ones. My maintenance crew said lots of people hate these newer style burners.
@@KMG6O3 yes, I recently changed the burners for old fashion ones because I couldnt stand the sensors noise. Thank you for your answer, I really appreciate it.
@@dianac.5833 where did you purchase the new coils? Did you purchase them for all four burners? About how much do the sell for? Thank You.
@@eyes2see438 I bought all 4 at Home Depot. They are universal coils. I cant remember the price because they vary on size but they are not that expensive.
@@dianac.5833 Thank you Diana! I will go to Home Depot today. How do you like your stove now?
I’m going to swap them out for universal coils
Will they work. I’d like to know
I tried to use some that I already had and they didn't work. They have made them this way on purpose, yet more of our rights taken away. It would be impossible to do home canning on these, part of the gl0bal plan.
@@KeniteSlayer I was able to put the old elements from my old stove, seems to work (just put them in) new stove cant boil water very well with these new elements
It takes so long to fry chicken 😢
@@essencecollins8842 I went to Lowe’s and got regular burners they work just fine!I threw out the Senseless burners!
1st time in my 50 years of cooking i want to take a sledge hammer to this stupid stove!
Or they could of just not put on such a crappy feature on the stove in the first place. Someone made a lot of money on making these mandatory and we the consumer are screwed over like always.
Good guy thank you so much
Yeah just wait until people start jamming the thing down with random objects. I am scared to death of smooth ranges breaking but am forced to purchase one because of this garbage. I have a friend with brand new matching appliances who has jammed contacts together to get uneven sized coils to fit. It is a house fire waiting to happen but otherwise she has to resort to fast food or sterno
Who needs a ruler & nickel when buying a stove. Lawsuit for false advertisement just to make a sell. 🤬
Technology aside, this professional's explanation is worth the price of the stove itself.....mucho thank you's......
I bought one of these stupid Sensi-Temp ranges and it reflects some of the poorest engineering I have ever seen in my life. None of my cooking pots and pans are heavy enough to depress these sensors, even my largest boiling pot will not depress them. I can't even fry an egg or boil a pan of water. Maybe if I bought a 40 lb. iron skillet, it would solve my problem. So ridiculous!
just got one pan not heavy enough wtf
My building management just change my stove with these sensi coil stove and I hate it. I can not make roti because to make roti you need certain temperature countinusly and these stupid stove keep slow down because of temperature sensors now i don’t know how to make roti on it
Have a brand new stove with brand new pots and none of the f****** burners turn on or heat worthless junk not one burner gets hot not one light is one lol
This is the worst thing they could have done to a range...As a cook for a living, this has totally ruined the entire process...Tripled cooking time and our right pissed a lot of us off...This hasn’t helped do anything you’re saying...Unfortunately me new place didn’t have gas, so this crap was the only option...Total 🗑
I ended up finding old style replacement burners at the hardware store that had the same loop connection. It's trial and error, there are a few brands of replacements out there, mine i found in the end were from a company by the name of "laser". Not a perfect fit, but my stove now works as it should before all this sensi temp BS! Hope that helps!
These burners are a nightmare they are horrible one of the dumbest things this company has ever done you can't Even Do any canning on them Takes forever to boil water they're just garbage just another way for the company to rip people off in my opinion It will definitely be going back
Help me a lot thanks
This sucks! Can't even boil water
Pulls out the Aluminum cookware. A GREAT way to speed up your Alzheimer's. Make sure to pair that with Teflon, so your brain will turn to complete mush!
Don't forget to add the diet drinks and sugar free foods to help it along faster
Not sure what everyone’s gripes are all about. Just got a new electric stove with these burners and have been cooking a lot. I think they’re great. In fact, I noticed that as soon as I turned the pot of boiling water off, it almost instantly stopped boiling; not like the ancient electric stove I had prior.
This technology is junk.Sent mine back today.
Do Not buy this stove it's a piece of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I don’t know it looks like you have the same exact whirlpool stove I have if it’s whirlpool the name is on the bottom drawer. First, I’d like to say these burners suck, it is very hard to boil water. I’ve gotta shut the burner off and turn it back on and then it’ll immediately get red and heat again.. I hate these burners I should’ve went with gas range, I dont like a gas range. I really want to look into getting some other coil type burners without the sensi temp and I also don’t want a glass top stove i hate them worse than gas.. Fyi you’re incorrect that the burners don’t work unless you’re touching that sensor or whatever it is, if you don’t put a pan on my burners, they will turn on and stay red hot and the do not shut off They only turn off when you’re cooking with a pan on it which sucks.
They don’t work.
Garbage technology. Not sure how engineer s came up with this without running real time test of how worse they are! So sad that I have to stick with this for a while. Anyone knows how to disable them?
Did u find any solution please let me know
nanny state.
pan not heavy enough wtf now?
There seems to be a lot of comments complaining about "nanny state".
If you want to hate these burners fine, but maybe find out why they exist before casting blame. This standard was created by AHAM (an appliance trade association), and approved by UL (a corporation) as a voluntary standard.
They exist to sell glass top stoves :) :)
Can you remove these things????
This is complete BS!!! I just bought one of these garbage ranges not knowing this because I needed one in a bind for a new house. I’m using my grandma’s antique, but awesome cookware, and nothing cooks right anymore!!!!🤬🤬🤬
1 hr to cook one egg , nobody wants that
Brand new installed by management...I hate that stove cuts off constantly...fucking up my cooking
Terrible idea!!!!!
Don't but it make them change it.
Another reason to buy a smooth top electric range.
Waste of time ......
Finally an answer!! I need new pans and no aluminum foil on the drip pans
I have new pans that fit the requirements by the manufacture and cooking is still a nightmare.
Give me a damn break, I just want my stove to work, when I want it to work
spend the extra money and buy flat top. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE
Piece of junk DONT BUY IT
Worst equipment
Hate hate hate those stupid things.
Sucks
This crap is crazy
The worst
I hate these burner leave things alone if it’s not broke don’t fix it
So who’s buy me new pans
Yup they suck!!
Shouldn't take 2 hours to cook meat on my damn stove 😡
worst ever my food stops cooking i hate this
Ha, "Having problems boiling water on a brand new stove you just bought? Well, get a ruler and a nickel and get to measuring. If you saved enough money on that Memorial Day sale, use it to buy new pans. Easy as that."
Won't do you any good. The guy is lying about the burners.
All sensi burners are junk. Do not by these instead buy flame burners.
