I love the underlying psychology of this drama...why Tantai Jin became the Devil God, how he became the Devil God, and could "nurture" beat the fate of "nature" and prevent him from becoming the Devil God? Li Susu/Ye Xiawu taught him what love looks like. But Tantai Jin moved beyond her shallow interpretation with his sincerity, genuine and unconditional love. (Including his bottomless forgiveness) Maybe she knew she could love him and wanted to love but ultimately she merely tolerated Tantai Jin and mustered affection for him so long as she had hope for his “goodness” . Whenever that hope wavered she withdrew her “love” aka affection and hurt him as deeply as she possibly could.
