I really had to edit this dream arc before we started getting more deeper into Tantai Jin and Li Susu story. Can't believe we really got another bailu x yunxi couple inside the same drama, a win for me!
Ming Ye & Sang Jiu story is so heartbreaking, my girl Sang Jiu deserved so much better!!!
I'm already preparing myself for what it has to come to our couple!!

It's tragic when you think about the fact Ming Ye lost his friends and the others gods during the war, then he lost the woman he loved and for thousands of years he remained in his dragon form, at the bottom of the river that used to be her home, curled at the feet of her statue, dreaming of the time they shared, their happiness and the mistakes he made. Until all was left of him was this dream and his bones.

@@duibuqinotsorry7464 Ming ye and sang jiu are their first life of their love saga. So it was not just a dream. Tantai Jin was first Ming Ye. Ye Xiawu (the evil one before Li Susu shows up) was fist Sang jiu.
But Sang jiu died a demon with hatred and resentment consuming her and thus in her next life as Ye Xiawu her evil attitude and cruelty towards her husband Tantai Jin (reincarnated Ming ye -who was implanted with the Devil bone) causes him to die early Iife, only ever having experienced hatred abuse blame cruelty and all the sins of Human nature. So when he dies he becomes the Devil God because he has no will or reason to fight against the will of the Devil bone.
Then 500 years later the ye Xia Wu has died ans reincarnated as LiSusu and the Devil god appears and kills everyone. Li Susu the person who ultimately created the Devil God (1.) her actions in bore life and 2.) her actions in general’s daughter life ) has to go back in time and change the heart of Tantai Jin. Once he experiences love and learns how to have compassion and forgiveness and show love to others (something he learns inspite of Li Susu/YXW who is stuck in a grudge) then he is able to assert his own will and make his own choices out of love-defeating the Devil bone and his destiny.
This arc is my favorite. This was the beginning of it all. Explains why they are living in a godless world. Explains how it all began between them. And their story is so heartbreaking- slow burn romance hurts the most. I love this arc the most. So many regrets - so many unsaid feelings and words …
Sangjiu and ming ye and ye xiwu and tantai Jin are not the same person btw..tantai Jin and ye xiwu just were having a lucid dream inside the real ming ye's memory
@@ubu8 the novel goes that Sangjiu and Mingye was their first life. That that was Ye Xiwu and Tantai Jin’s past life .
@@JaeJae46 no i dont think so, this is the past life of the dragon mingye. tantai jin has always been the devil god. when the devil god dies in the dream and his mask disappears, you see he has the face of tantai jin. the only reason mingye and sangjiu look like tantai jin and ye xiwu is because they ‘became’ them when they entered the dream. ye xiwu was not sangjiu in a past life either, actually in the scene where xiwu absorbs the world alluring jade that sangjiu made, the woman she was talking to in the black clothing was sangjiu herself
@@JaeJae46 From what I remember the novel made it really clear that those were not the past lives of Tantai Jin and Li Susu.
@@JaeJae46 Nah, novel made it clear they there are no relations between TTJ, Susu and Sang Jiu and Ming Ye. Also, they couldn't be their previous lives since when they find Ming Ye, he's still alive
I just realized that this series gave us a trilogy of love stories but all of them ended tragically 😢
The Tragic Love Story 😭😭😭 So beautiful and infuriating at the same time. Communication and trust would have saved them but they didn't share their thoughts with each other and listen to everyone around them instead of themselves, and that doomed them. Now the moral of their tragic story is a guide to Li Susu on how to save Tantai Ji.
I loved the dream arc, I think this was around the time love truly embraced his heart. He had never felt the love of another, but in the arc he felt all those emotions at once. The betrayal, the hatred, these he’s felt before. But the love he felt from her was new, and then the loss of her was what started the cracks on his frozen heart. And even after the arc he still felt that love. His love never wavered even when she ultimately betrayed him. It lived on.
so tragic... they really deserved better. it's amazing that they basically had a whole nother drama in those 8 ep, to dream that, it's inevitable for ttj to start feeling for real
This arc gave me swollen eyes when it ended.. it was so tragic. I'm glad they made a scene to signify the closure of this couple for us viewers through Ye Xi Wu in Sang Jiu form and Tan Tai Jin's scene together. They never even had a closure in the novel, so I'm so in love with how they made this adaptation more bearable for us novel readers. ❤🩹

@@user-eg9no9os7u In the novel, Ming Ye weren't able to tell his true feelings to Sang Jiu and lived miserably alone for thousands of years right? However in the drama, they made a scene where Ming Ye was comforted by seeing and talking Sang Jiu's (ghost) before he disappears at peace & without any regrets. 🥲
@@ninennea Oh, I see. At least he gets to see her one last time. Their fate reflected on TTJ and YXW alot, like flip side of those two in the next arc.

The way I love how my favorite editor made an edit of my favorite airing drama. Now more people will watch the drama.
My heart aches so much for the poor clam princess who did nothing wrong but fall in love with the person who she was never supposed to be with. She protected that love with all of her heart and body, but they just have to touch her bottomline again and again. 😭😭😭
By the end of this arc i was sobbing my heart out like my mother just died oh my god. Beautiful as always

Perfectly tragic beginning. Setting the stage for the tragedy that follows. Very appropriate song. They repeatedly tried to take the place of each other when faced with imminent death.

I both loved and hated this arc. Loved it for the aesthetics, the chemistry, and Sang Jiu being a complete badass when she goes full demon mode. Hated it for the constant misunderstanding/miscommunication trope and YBC's goddess character. Also the 'wedding night' scene made me a little uncomfy because of how it came about. I was relieved when it was over, but Ming Ye and Sang Jiu's tragic love story still haunts me--they truly deserved so much better.
this was so epic and beautiful!! tbh I actually lost interest as soon as we had those first eps into the dream arc of the story ^.^; and i haven't gone back to watch more yet, but this just changed my mind, time to pick back up!!
Yes, the dream arc looks boring but as I kept watching I realized how important is going to be for Tantai Jin and Li Susu development.

It is tragic that Ming ye had to suffer like he was some villain when he was just as much a victim of that evil Goddess (Bing Chang. I can’t remember her name) as Sanjiu was. He wasn’t ready for marriage and he didn’t love Sang jiu at first . That isn’t a crime. He was naïve just like Sang Jiu was naïve.

E não é a mesma pessoa, o casal de 500 anos atrás são pessoas diferentes. O Tantai Jin e a Ye Xiwu simplesmente "interpretaram" o casal ao entrarem no sonho do dragão. Era como se eles tivessem vendo o sonho em primeira pessoa, eles sentiram tudo e vivênciaram tudo mas não era eles.
