maybe it's because Hz means Hertz and it sounds like Hearts. And the fact that they're electronic adds a nice touch when they add Hertz to their title.
I have to point out that Ladytron are immensely successful at making the precise sound that they are going for. There's nothing just "promising" about them. They are perfectionists when it comes to making albums. Daniel Hunt spoke of how he (and others in LT) will often spend a whole year mapping out just one song in his head before even touching an instrument. Along the same logic that Ian MacKaye of Fugazi stands by: If your judging greatness by record sales, your forgetting to use your ears.
I always enjoy watching musicians "play" a VCS3 synthesizer like the "Putney" since they were never considered to be the most "musical" of synths at the time. Certainly not like a Moog or ARP that had a keyboard. Just as well to play it as a sound processor like Brian Eno does in the Roxy Music video for... "Ladytron"! Great song and video! Great work!

FIFA or no FIFA this song is just plane awesome. This is not the type of music I usually listen to, but I'm not deaf when it comes to other genres as well. Though the video is not exactly the reflection of what the music can inspire, it's still quite a remarkable one, easy amongst the best 100 of all time vids.
