    Man, ever since I was a kid I've loved to be in the water. When I discovered snorkeling, it was nearly impossible for my parents to get me out of the water. Being able to breathe underwater seemed so natural that I forgot on more than one occasion that I could not breathe under water. I suspect that if I ever got scuba training, I might be one of those causalities by running out of air. But man, the things I could see! It would be bliss until then.

    The Zapote Cenote is so majestic and looks like something straight out of Hollywood. Last month, I personally got the opportunity to dive into Zapote, and you quickly learn why the Mayans call the cenote's "the entrance to the underworld." If you turn off your light and look towards the center of the cenote, you will see a elevation of the ground where the remains of the tree sit. The only natural light source in the cave comes from the small narrow opening where we started the dive. further down in the cenote, you will experience the mysterious layers of clouds. The natural light and the elevtion of the tree together with the clouds make the scenery look like something straight out of a horror movie😄.
    Keep up the good work Jonathan and co,
    Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

    Absolutely stunning! Thanks for taking us on this journey, Jonathan! Might I just add, that I do know you're not a scientist, but you do use the word "theory" in place of hypothesis, when the latter is what you really mean. Just food for thought. Love your content. Stay safe!

    • @BlueWorldTV
      @BlueWorldTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In casual, non-scientific conversation the words hypothesis and theory are often used to mean the same thing: an idea, or notion, or hunch about something. However, the assumption on how the cave bells grow is far more than a hypothesis--there is a body of scientific data pointing to the established theory they have on how these formations grow.
