    The Rotary Mixer feels quite good for the price. Its analogue and sounds decent.
    Far from E&S, ARS, Taula etc but imo still better than the usual Pioneer-Clubmixer.

      Depends on what you want.
      They are studio monitors. I also use them to produce and make mixdowns. For that purpose they are perfect. Unbeatable price/value.
      If you want speakres for nice hifi-sound while playing records dont get them. They sound very clean and flat.

      @@MrAlexbayer I am looking for mixing and mastering. I had learn to mix on a pair of NS10. I have tried other brands but the adaptation is quite hard. However, a friend of mine told me to look for the HS7 or HS8 cause when you high trim +2db in the back you get something closer to the NS10 which makes the adaptation easier. I will definitely take a look. Thanks and keep on mixing.

    Deep tunes!
    So I have learned to beatmatch on a Pioneer controller and now I`m trying to figure out how to bring things to the next level(on a budget obviously)
    I don`t use effects and really want to concentrate on the music, my intuition tells me that a rotary mixer is exactly what I need. However, I have never used one. This seems to be a good option for its price, would you recommend it?
    And another question regarding the turntables, since the Technics standard models are really expensive, how do the more affordable ones compare?

    • @MrAlexbayer
      @MrAlexbayer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Regarding the mixer, to make it short: Yes, it is a good choice, go for it. I heard some people having some issues, i never had them.
      Regarding the turnies, please check the other comments on this video, where i explained their pros and cons.

    Hello I have some comments and questions.. Question.. I am in the market soon for another mixer to create another whole set up. I want to explore the rotary mixers which have crossfaders because I use faders a LOT. I see there's an Omnitronics and Radius, so I wanted to know if there's a huge sonic quality difference and if there's something else worth considering. Which do all of you recommend that you have actually used?
    Ok, so when I built my first DJ recording setup, I had this beefy looking Biamp mixer and it was not good. It was too tall and it was quirky between channels, so I had to really ride the gain differences. Before then I had this Soundcraftsman which was great yet have one master EQ section, so any changes went to both 1/2 records. The folks who designed it overengineered it, and the sound was amazing. Then I found a Rane and went to DJ heaven. The REAL Rane, not the weirdness that's out now since the company was bought. It was like open box so it was affordable .It's the Rane Mojo MM8x and it's still my baby because it suits me since I play a lot of different music, and it's just comfortable to do juggles, scratches, and mix/blend. Then I run to a Mackie, the American one not the newer copes, to keep the sound flat and clean. My outboard is a Ensoniq ASR10 sampler, with has a sick efx section, and you can change settings on the fly or make custom efx chains. I use a California vintage time delay to set the room, then to a Class AB power amp chain, then to studio and floor standing 3 way speakers. Technic 1210 imports because They just work well for all music and they are reliable/predictable, so if you take care of them, they will last over 20 years.
    setup. Be

    Hi, is it possible to mix within the headphones on this mixer so I can mix late at night without having my speakers on? So does it allow you to listen to both tracks in the phones and transition the volume blend for each channel? Thanks

    • @who_is_azazel
      @who_is_azazel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually it does. You have a "cue/master" pot which defines what you hear n your headphones and in which proportion. You even have a "split" button which allows you to listen to the cue in one ear and to the master in the other. And you also have a "record out" which is a pre-fader master out, which means that whatever the volume on the master chanel is, you always get an out (which is leveled to -6 dB I think, not sure) so if you haver to lower the sound during the record it would not influence the volume of the record in your DAW of whatever device you are recording with. I own one of those too and ave been so in love with it ever since I had it two years ago! Have already done several gigs with quality sond systems plugged in it and hae compared the sound with the Xone and Pioneer. On my humble opinion, it sounds WAY better than the Pioneer and event overpasses the Xone. The analogue touch and the big rotary knobs (which are not some cheap chineese junk but the Alps blue velvet, you can check out for their price and reviews on the web) are so playful and nice to touch! On my opinion, there is no mixer with that build quality and a sond like this even for three times the price! 🔥

    • @MrAlexbayer
