Because Donald Sutherland passed away, we went to the wall of garbage and found a movie he was in. Hollow Point has horrific dialogue, over-the-top acting, and humor that makes us want to play in traffic. But damn, is Donald Sutherland great in it.

"The wheels didn't start wobbling, they just fell off"
Always with the negative waves, Brant.
Be careful if it's birthday time...Seagal might come and try and snatch it. He wasn't born under a turnip truck.
I considered throwing a Seagal on, but I felt merciful for some reason.
@@JasonBrant you have been awfully merciful to people this year, with the Blood Sport marathon as well recently.
....either you're dying or you are planning something truly terrible
That's going to take an air of confidence that's rarely seen in this day and age.
😂😂😂😂
Seagal also wasn't born at night.
From the wikipedia article on this film:
"The film's key grip, Jean-François Bourassa, was killed during the making of the film during an explosive special effects sequence gone wrong."
Those booms came at a cost.
Damn. That's awful.

"Drinkin'?"
"If you're buying."
That's how SBIG started as a concept, isn't it?
Donald Sutherland did everything...action, comedy, drama, horror, sci-fi...I'm going to really miss him.
So did Lithgow. What a waste to have them both and make it this dumb.
The fact that you now have a database to organize the collection is insane.
The database needs a name. Like, "the spreadsheet of pain".
The "S@!t List"
As in, your movie is so bad it's on Jason's s@!t list.
Two of my favorite actors, Don Lithgrow and Johnald Sunderland
🤘
Donald Sutherland is a legend.
Klute, Don't look now, Invasion of the body snatchers are my favorite of his movies.
May he rest in peace.
Funny fact about Karate Kid 3, despite the way the roles were cast, Thomas Ian Griffith is actually a few months younger than Ralph Macchio. But in the movie, he easily passed as well older than him.
This movie could NOT decide what it wanted to be (Comedy? Action movie? Ah, what the hell.)...and I was here for it. A fitting SBIG tribute to Donald Sutherland. Well done, guys.👍
The same director, Sidney J. Furie, did another action film for the same company, Nu Image, just the following year. "Top of the World", starring Peter Weller, Tia Carrere (again), Dennis Hopper and Joe Pantoliano. I watched it a while back, and I had fun with it. It's basically Die Hard in a Las Vegas casino.
(There's also a car chase scene that might give you a sense of deja-vu, as Nu Image reused it in the Steven Seagal movie "Today You Die", which you've seen.)
I haven't seen "Top of the World", but I guarantee it was filmed in Canada if Furie was the director.
Seagal can't be bothered to film new chase sequences, he has doughnuts that would go to waste.
Sidney J. Furie also directed Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, so, yeah. For Cannon, no less.
Pairing up Lithgrow and Sunderland was brilliant. What a pair!
Tia Carrere was great in tv series Relic Hunter, basically she played Lara Croft)
RIP Donald Sutherland
A legend.
I didn't even know he was sick
Loved His Style
With Donald Sutherland at the end of ... Body Snatchers, I was never sure whether he had become one of them or was just a fan of the Barbarian Twins. HUURRRRR!
He was a great guy in person.
Your mistake was believing that the wheels were round.
My father made me watch The dirty dozen when I was young, and I loved it especially Donald Sutherland's character. He's been one of my favorite actors of all time since
That was like a 5 year old was asked to write a Tarantino style script.
Nice Firefly T-shirt. It took me a moment to remember the Blue Sun logo.
Can't take the sky
I'm on my third generation Blue Sun shirt. I still regret only buying one of my old school "Slim's Used Spacecraft Sales" shirt, which I wore until it fell apart.
Yesterday I wore my Fruity Oaty Bar shirt to a restaurant and got a perplexed "not mandatory?" from someone.
I've got a polo shirt with the Blue Sun logo on it. One of my favorite work shirts.
The toilet scene where Donald just explains why it's in the middle of the room as "I live alone!" has lived rentfree in my head for almost 30 years. 😁
It's kinda weird how a lot of people only seem to remember the toilet. 😂😂😂
Happy early birthday Brian! Mine was the 3rd, I had to take my dad to the emergency room. Felt like Seagal snatched my muthafuc*in birthday
18:53 I've seen this movie! For decades now I had the memory of that toilet in the middle of the room and Donald Sutherland going "...I live alone!".
😂😂😂😂
lithgrow😂
Main character speaks
Jason: "Oh jesus christ..."
🤣
The best Thomas Ian Griffith movie is called Excessive Force (Lance Henriksen, Tony Todd, and James Earl Jones also pop up). It feels like a vanity project done by people who knew what they were doing with filmmaking, but have never met a police officer in their life.
When I was a kid police stations handed out free dynamite on tuesdays..it was understood no one would fire a missile into the building on those days.
I've seen all his movies, his best was Citizen X. Won a cable Ace award for the best movie of the year.
This is one of those turds you'd watch on TV while bored in the 90's, because there's nothing else on.
I actually have a soft spot for those kinds of movies for that very reason haha. Nostalgic memories.
I agree with what you're saying, but that's a pretty piss poor Sunday on your hands.
Hey my birthday is coming up in August. I hope I get a good video. Lol. But yeah I'm pretty sure that this movie was a paycheck for Donald and he just had so much fun with it and decided to chew as much scenery as he could. And hell, kudos to the man! If you got it, run with it. RIP Donald Sutherland.
Dude, John Lithgow is an alien. Didn't you see Third Rock From the Sun?
Gotta love any action movie that ends with a ballad. Bonus points for using Howard Hewett (formerly of Shalamar).
Oh noezz...my birthday is on the 17th....is sifu gonna show up and snatch it?!
Thomas Ian Griffin could never live up to his debut performance as the coked up, immortal Terry Silver
This seems like a movie that was supposed to have Kurt Russell as the action star. But instead they got the guy from Karate Kid 3.
No way a star of Kurt Russell's caliber would do this material. They couldn't afford him on this project's budget either.
4:56 Good call with the Vampire right before he gets into the casket lol.
Brian not mentioning that they could just change the wheel on the jeep after guy shoots it out?
Cherokees came with full size spares, BRIAN!
His second shot was into the spare.
He had a work ethic . He was a working actor. When times got slow he occasionally pick a movie like this just bc he refused to stop working. For a 60 year old who wants to keep working there aren't a lot of parts I'm guessing
This movie reminds me of Spy vs Spy if Tia Carrere was the sexy spy.
I remember parts of this, like when he rams the forklift into the garage door and jumps out pointing his akimbo guns around, and the toilet in the middle of the living room, but for some weird reason I somehow replaced the lead with Jason Statham in my memory, so I never was able to find that scene online ever again until now lol.. Back when it came out on rental I thought it was hilarious.
Thomas Ian Griffith looks like NWO era Eric Bischoff
To me, he looks like Buff Bagwell without the muscles.
"What was I saying" lol got distracted once all that 'talent' appeared on the screen
11:48 choosing to dive face first through a glass window, when there is an open door 2 feet to the left 😂
Donald Sutherland elevated every film he was in and he always looked like he had fun with it 😊
Thomas Ian Griffith and Tia Carrera were in Kull the Conquerer so now you have to watch that.
I just got back to watching your guy's channel after a few months and I was binging all the episodes I missed. I watched this one then watched the Ticker episode and noticed the shot of the FBI agents at 2:15 is stock footage because the exact same shot shows up in your Ticker video at 26:07.
23:37 oh God, my sides😂 That last part broke me
In her day, tia was the hot gal you’d stop and watch, because Cindy Crawford wasn’t there.
Filmed in my hometown of Montreal, which I almost instantly recognized when I first saw it, from the streets alone. Seeing local actors in it like Richard Jutras only confirmed it.
Nice.
@@JasonBrant Yeah, it's always nice when you recognize your city. Highlander 3 was also filmed there and I could tell almost instantly too. I should see if I can send you this 1996 Gary Daniels movie called Hawk's Vengeance (unless you already have it), it wasn't just filmed here, it's set here. Apparently Montreal has enough of a mafia and triads problem that Gary Daniels needed to come here and kick some faces about it.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume all director Furie movies are shot in Canada. Toronto usually.
@@refinedsugar Director Furie?
@@B.-T. Sidney J Furie. Guy who directed 'Hollow Point'.
This movie got its rating off of explosions and Donald Sutherland alone
7am in Alaska, coffee and dabs ready to go, LET'S DO THIS!!!
I saw this once, i think.
ON WIT DA FUN
Surprised I hadn't even heard of it.
Poking fun at the worst movie of a legend’s career is how this channel does tributes. Thank you, gentlemen.
Cheers!
It's what we do 🤣
@@JasonBrant Don’t stop!
I used to own a kestrel, it was called Enola Gay. Can it fly at night? Well yeah, all kestrels manoeuvre in the dark...
“Sticking around like a bread thief” is such a commonly used phrase. Seagal may have written that
lol
Lith-goh. Like Linlithgow in Scotland.
It's like they went half Lethal Weapon and half Naked Gun and they needed to just pick a lane.
No one will ever forget the name...
Donald Sunderlund
I hope the person in charge of those explosions won an Oscar. Best performance in the film.
Can you get Donald Sutherland on the show? His schedule is pretty open now
_GONG_
Well he has a new agent. It is either St. Peter or Lucifer, I am not sure which one. Both are fairly demanding.
Other than Lithgow and Sutherland, plus the explosions, this movie was horrible. But I understand your 50/50 decision. The dialogue and attempt at humor was painful, but throw in some strippers and we temporarily forget what we’re watching.
I think this was a clear-cut splat vote, but I'm really biased. I sought this flick out over a year ago as the reviews at IMDb said it was good and I liked the cast...
... I don't know what people who think this is good are smoking. Though there seems to be a lot of nostalgia for it.
I can't think of any movie where Tia Carrere was actually a good actress. That doesn't mean every movie she's in is bad, but...
Me neither but she's pretty easy on the eyes, so she gets a pass.
@@gary_payton Agreed!
Looking forward to this one!! Let's kick back and catch a buzz!! Shout out from NJ!!🤘🤘
"Wait...what?"
"He's DEA. He drove into that bust so he could get it instead of the FBI."
"WHAT?!"
Also, this movie is ridiculous but I still say it's worth watching for John Lithgow playing it completely straight and Donald Sutherland alternating between chewing on the scenery and having a lot of fun out of nowhere. And for massive explosions of course.
8:13, wow, if that was a guess Jason youre effing clairvoyant or some sh!t cause hes exactly 10 years younger than Sutherland so 78 is on the money!! U are truly the master of useless trivia!
25:47 I almost fell out of my chair at Brian's comment!
LOL! That's why we all watch this channel!
🤣🤣
If you want to watch a good Thomas Ian Griffith movie, I would recommend Excessive Force. That movie also features Bishop from Aliens, the Candyman, and King Jaffe.
The only good film he made I think, I've seen a couple of other ones and they are horrendous 😅
Second recommendation for EF. Great cast!
Wow. Talk about a memory hole. The whole video, I was like "How have I never seen this movie?" And then the scene with Donald Sutherland talking about toilet paper triggered a memory... I HAVE seen this movie. I just completely forgot about it.
Happy birthday, Brian 🎉
I'll tell him you said this. Thanks!
Love the Cannon T-shirt.
This is like they recorded somebody’s fever dream.
More like opium dream
I think Erin felt that pyro from across town.
Lithgow was born in 1945, Sutherland was born in 1935. You can do the math for this movie. RIP Donald he was one of the most memorable actors of the Boomer era! I know because I am one of them. The first time I saw Sutherland in a movie was either Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the first update), or Kelly's Heros. The first time I saw Lithgow was in the movie Ricochet. Both impressed me, Sutherland was riveting, and Lithgow gave me goosebumps.
In "Ricochet" Lithgow plays a guy that gives the ordinary psychopath nightmares.
@@Hykje YES I think he was going for that vibe.
Theres a 1983 tv movie called The Day After, where they show John Lithgow with a large set of hair that almost looks like a mullet.
OKAY! So I was watching older episodes, at 02:14 the three FBI agents that remove their disguises and start running with shotguns is the exact same footage used in Ticker SBIG episode 279 at 24:10
Not surprising. Ticker reused shots from like a dozen Nu Image movies.
It boggles my mind how movies like this get released. Who looks at this and says “yup, let’s get this out to the public”
The fake hair was GOAT, you know she had that old man on a leash for years and the only way he'd get some was to put a ring on it... That's some badass undercover work. Oh and in case it might actually be written as such I got this the second she took the fake stuff off. Old man never got a single piece, badass undercover cop!
I have never seen you pair so conflicted on giving a stamp or not 😀😀😀
This reaction was so funny & comedy gold, another Donald Sutherland B movie worth watching The Puppet Masters.
Just wanted to say thank you for your TH-cam channel. I love how it feels like I'm watching with my friends. For an introvert like me you fill that social gap that I tend to avoid.
This is big budget movie for the channel 🤔😲
It was weird watching something made for more than a few dollars.
I read that Donald Southerland holds the all time record for most movies made that were never released. Imagine what you could do cutting all that unused footage together into some sort of crazy Frankenmovie. A trilogy! An entire franchise!!
Sounds like Tony Khan would have liked to sign him.
Point me to the Kickstarter.
This film is like the Blues Brothers car after they finally get to their destination.
We get a slide show at the end to remind us of all they've been through.
How do you fuck up a cast like this? Two recommendations:
Sutherland: Eye of the Needle.
Lithgow: Blow Out
4:42 Hey Ho, Lith Grow! Hey Ho, Lith Grow!
I’m not gonna say it it’s impossible to shoot an RPG out of the air, but I wouldn’t plan my day around it.
I don't think I'd bet my life on it.
@@JasonBrantI would argue that, depending on circumstances, you should definitely bet your life on it. 1 in 10000000 is better than 0
“Was Hollow Point so confusing it’s good?”
R.I.P. to that Dirty Oddball.
RIP. Invasion of the Body Snatchers is one of my favorite horror movies.
Always with the negative waves, man. Lol
Thank you for choosing this movie! I saw it back in the 90s and had a lot of fun with it, but I didn't remember the title. I can't wait to watch it again.
The sci fi puppet masters film Sutherland did was a lot of fun and well worth a viewing 😀
Now you should watch Virus. I know you have a copy and it's another funny Sutherland film. Lol STEVE!
I couldn't find it in your video list, but have you ever reviewed Dead Alive? I would love to see a reaction to it!
Ooo hobo clown clip! We saw that from ticker!!!
I've been wondering if you have ever seen a movie that was so boring that the beer your drinking couldn't make the movie tolerable to watch
@@jasoncarter455 After Last Season, probably.
@jasoncarter455 Science Crazed :P
After Last Season and Science Crazed. Both are on the channel.
"Every scene I did with Sunderland was a treat."

The people at IMDb who think it's a legit good movie have bad taste. The slapstick black comedy is horrible.
This is one of those movies that tried to fool you into thinking it's good with cast name.
I've seen hate preachers less confused about their sexuality than this movie
Directed by Sidney J. Furie....need we say more? (Superman 4)
lolol weed doesn't make u constipated... but smack does, which is what that looked like :D
Jason, you HAVE to tell me where you got that Cannon t-shirt!!
The motel explosion was reused in 'Ticker '
Was it?
@JasonBrant Pretty sure. In the Space Ice video he even comments that the building that had the bomb in it looked nothing like the one that we see explode.
Ticker used stock footage from several movies. That doesn't surprise me.
This movie feels so much like a writer trying to imitate the way that Quentin Tarantino mixed genres. Like you can really feel how clever the writer thinks he is. "It'll be an action comedy love story between a drug addict and an FBI agent desperate to turn dirty. I am so inventive!"
I have to respect a movie that tries so hard to punch above its weight.
Did you guys ever see The Puppet Masters? Fun,cheestastacity, and the late great Donald Sutherland! 😂
There are lots of movies that have great casts, that should work, that we never heard of before and buried.
2002 Movie called Showtime with De Niro, Eddie Murphy and William Shatner for example.
