@@Handsomeblindguy I have moments when I feel the loss of my mother when I was a year old. Out of place I feel at my worst. Aikido helps me connect to others.
There's that familiar sense of humor. Life was never boring when you were around. I pray you find continuing fulfillment. Continue sharing your testimony.
Thank you, Rick! I think about you and Sandra often. You may not know it, but you were a real inspiration for me-both in your example as a man and a leader. I hope to see you again. Are you still in Idaho?
@@Handsomeblindguy Leoni days are some of our most. Cherished memories, and the group we had those years was amazing. We still live in Idaho. We both are teaching online.
Excellent video! I’ve been following quite a few blind TH-camrs because my dad was losing his vision during the last decade of his life. Without corrective lenses, I am legally blind. I’m grateful that lenses currently work for me, but I know that could change at any time. I’m glad to see you’re adapting well. I’ve tried using the accessibility features on my phone and it was absolutely frustrating. I love Siri, though.
@@Handsomeblindguy Absolutely!!! Can’t get enough of Pete! He’s crazy as hell and I love it! I also follow Molly Burke. Her videos inspired me to try using the accessibility features on my phone.
My biggest struggle lately is transportation. I feel very needy asking for help, even when others are so gracious. Biggest blessings are grocery delivery services and Amazon. Thanks for sharing.
My biggest struggle at times is self motivation, I’m working on it by doing my best to consistently practice aikido on Wednesday nights and go to the gym two to three nights per week.
I am 38. I actually was just diagnosed with RP. I see pretty well, but as you mentioned at night is little harder. My struggle is because family members think I cannot see anything at night, and always bug me about driving… I can see well, specially places I drive to all the time. Of course when is a new place, I go slower or ride with a friend.
How U doing now? U got gf? How come u got such low views? Maybe take out Handsome as it can look Narcissistic and insecurity, let Personalitily shine, the looks part can come later after connection with people. Chill out man! Plz.@@Handsomeblindguy
Thank you. I have rp also and am right behind you in vision loss. I can still see like a keyhole as a field of vision. You mentioned learning braille. Do you think learning braille is worth it as an adult?
What is like to practice and teach aikido and practice jujitsu with your vision the way it is now? Are you able to recognize some of your friends from the Aikido or jujitsu?
You are awesome Edgar. I have been impressed by your personality since first hearing you…that was your last meeting as President of CVHS.
Hi Robert! I’m glad you liked CVHS. I appreciate the support. Do you remember what the last meeting was about? I don’t even remember. Lol
Thanks for sharing your story! My struggle is self image.
How you perceive yourself, or how you feel others perceive you?

Some cities have programs for discounted or free transportation. I am dealing with that too. Thank you for sharing.
Asking for help because you need it is anything but needy. I would have loved loved to help you if you were asking me in transportation. Take care
Great video great advice great son-in-law
Great video! I am 47 with RP. I have a tiny central island left. You have a great attitude. Keep up the good work!
