I have step brothers and sisters I have 2 brothers that aren’t step. 2 step brothers 1 step half brother and 1 step sister

I have 3 brothers, one has passed. And I have 2 sisters, one of them has passed also. But we were never very close. That is one of my biggest regrets, that our upbringing separated us rather than bring us close.

Oh i love Rachel!
I am one of seven, five boys, two girls. My sister and three of my brothers were diagnosed with CF. My sister and two of my brothers have passed away (one brother who had CF, one of my brother who didn’t have CF who passed in a car accident).
The four of us left are extremely close. Two of my (remaining) brothers are living with CF. I’m a flight attendant, my husband is a paramedic/firefighter so I’m unable to see them right now due to quarantine and the nature of mine and my husband’s job since we spend so much time with the public. I haven’t been able to hug my brothers without PPE on in about four years. Sorry for the rant.

I don't have CF or anything but always got nasty viruses and colds as a kid. So I've been on a lot of antibiotics and I can agree, the bathroom problems are the WORST. Either you can't go or you can't stop going.

You forgot to tell about your other sibling Mary....my hubby and I have decided that Matt Guthmiller...the guy who flew around the world at 19....is your twin! Look at his YT channel. Every time we see him we say, there's Mary's twin brother ! lol You are both so cute. So glad you get time with Rachel and family. I'm bedbound so enjoy watching.

Sometime you two should do a cf body comparison....so you would say who has had/does have issues with what, like you have glucose issues, does your sister? And the things that you are alike and different in.
Why can't you have a transplant Mary? Maybe you've addresses that & I just missed it since I've only been watching your vlog for a little while. You inspire me because you're such a positive person in spite of your health issues. I don't have CF but have many gastric problems caused by gastric bypass 15 years ago & I've had TPN feeding for months at a time, IV at home with the little balls, PICC line's, you name it & I know what it's like to be chronically sick & not lose faith even though I'm a Christian. I watch you, Peter & Ollie every day & just love you guys. Ollie is so amazing. I was just hopeful you too might could have a transplant. Love you guys.

Im like you Mary, with my ability to remember things from the past that happened to me or someone else and all the details of it and other people dont remember it so i seem kind of spooky with my detail recall. I only remember people related stuff though. Im no good at remembering information facts like needed for school or college etc.

your video are amazing and when both of my children are older enough. I'm going to talk to them about Cystic Fibrosis and what it is. Because all three of my older brother have CF, of course my oldest brother pass away 2014. But I want to my children to know about it just in case they are carriers.

Okay so I'm late to the party on this one haha. Here's a Q for ya... Does Rachel have blood sugar issues too? If so does Ollie alert for her since she's family?
Did your parents have the opportunity to have genetic testing before or after having one child with CF?
I always wonder about that. I thought all parents had genetic testing before kids, but I learned that is not so. I don't believe in having kids if there is even the slightest identifiable risk of a genetic disorder. Most kits, from what I've discussed with doctors, can identify a 25% chance with genetic testing, which is too risky to try in my opinion. I also think it's a societal issue, but in Mary and Rachel's case, I think her parents just didn't know.

Tierra Nauman Yes. If both parents have the gene there is a 50/50 chance their children will get it. A lot of people don’t know they have the gene, so they end up with a CF child without knowing they had the chance. I’m pretty sure if you know you’re gene positive, and your partner is you can screen embryos for the gene so you won’t have a CF child

I'm 29 and my sister is 23. I have full blown Cf and I've had 2 double lung transplants. My sister on the other hand isn't even a carrier for the gene!! Genetics are so weird
