    Nice review, and yes, you got a great deal. I bought one of these last year and am very happy with it. Only problem is a messy oil change. I ended up siphoning the oil out instead of using the drain plug. What the previous owner did (extend the drain plug) solves that problem for you. Happy Mowing!

      Thanks. Yes, the extension of the drain plug was a great addition.

    I realize this is for demonstration but dude why are you mowing like a drunk man? These mowers can be great if your land is mostly flat. If you have slopes or hills look for something else because this isn't it. Very Loud Briggs engine.

      Yea, this mower is too small for my whole yard. 95% of my lawn is mowed by my robot mower.

    Nice video review, Good 3nough? I appreciate finding a review with someone using a rear engine rider on a large yard. I have a few questions for you. I'm considering one of these but I'm torn between this and a Toro 34" zero turn. My yard is a double lot, about 120x144. That's about 4/10 of an acre. The 90x44 house sits on that property. Your property seems larger than mine. How many acres do you have? Do you find this type of mower large enough and fast enough on a property that large or do you wish you had gone with a zero turn? Thanks

      If you love mowing your lawn, then any lawn mower is fine. My property sits on a 1.5acre lot. I would say about 1 acre is grass, and it's pretty flat. I only mow my whole yard 4 times a year with this mower. During these 4 times, It takes about 1.5hrs and I fertilize my lawn at I mow. Other than the 4 times, this mower is only used for the small sections in my front yard and takes about 10minutes each mow. Pretty much the spots that is shown in the video when I'm not hauling fertilizer. About 90% of my lawn is mowed by a robot mower from spring to fall. I choose the robot over a Zero-turn mower. The robot is cheaper, less maintenance, saves me time, and looks cooler.

      @@good3nough947 Thanks, I appreciate it. Based on the amount of time it takes you to do an acre with it, it should take me 40-45 minutes to do my 4 tenths of an acre. I'll check out the robot mower. That sounds interesting for my backyard.

      @@DarthSasquatch Thanks. Keep in mind the robot mower I use is near the top of the line. You can easily get one for $1k that can mow .4acres.

    I had a Murray similar to this paid $960 it new at Walmart back in 2019 but it had the 6 speed lever not the go pedal it done great but if u have a high spot in yard u gotta raise the deck or it will shave grass to dirt as there are no deck wheels.

    Hi Good 3nough, I have the same mower and thinking about getting the same or similar aerator and fertilizer spreader, what do you think about it? the only thing is I'm use to just getting the spreader settings off the bag, I don't like the idea of test spotting and weighing, whats your feedback?

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The aerator and fertilizer is okay. It's kind of cheaply made and you can tell by the quality. It gets the job done and saves time since it does aerate pretty well, as long as it has fertilizer to keep the aerator heavy. Worth the price.

      @@good3nough947 Hi Good 3nough Thanks for your reply, but what about the settings for different products, is it a lot of work to get the settings let's say for example Scotts starter fertilizer?

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@56mountaindew Not exactly hard, but it does require a little playing around. I use Scotts triple action for the first two applications with a setting at 7. Then I use Milorganite at a setting of 4. It'll come down to how fast your tractor is, and how much product you want to apply.

    • @56mountaindew

      @@good3nough947 Thanks Good 2nough I think they should make all spreader to regulate with the same settings, but that would make things to easy for us.

    Also, how is the steering on this mower.
    i heard that they released a version with a real briggs 344cc engine, instead if the chinese clones

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late response. The steering is quite responsive, but cold be dangerous if you are going full speed, and try to turn really fast. The speed will actually force you to turn harder and faster.

    • @DarthSasquatch
      @DarthSasquatch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 344cc is also a Chinese-made engine. It's a cheapened version without an oil filter. Disappointing. Good 3nough? likely has the better 382cc with the oil filter. Before the 382cc, you could get these with a 420cc with an oil filter.
