I don't know if any one noticed, most of the edge are not flat, thought you were cutting angle on the miter saw rewind many times, not sure if the miter saw is out of alignment, then the piece went thru the table saw also has croaked edge, reason having a jig is to have precision and repeatable cut, no point spend time to make a jig if can't make square cut
I would add an arc of plywood at the hinge end for marking my most common angles. Also I'd add a way to clamp down the workpiece so it isn't free to jump up off the table with kickback. Others here have mentioned how unsafe your technique is so I won't repeat their comments. In the absence of safe working habits, I'll just wish you good luck. 👍
When you're making that long slotted piece, instead of cutting a long groove with the router, just take two skinny pieces and glue spacers in at each end.
I hate videos that do not tell what is being made. So I skip foreword to see the end first, it's a tapper cutting jig with a cross brace bar and a handle. Never mind, I am not going to make one.
There are so many languages out there and they don't only speak English. It would be wise to go some other channel to look for English speaking channel.
Hi, If you anchor the slotted piece at one end near the handle (as you have done, and the other end anchor it to the other handle piece about 6 inches / 150mm further along, you will not have a long 90 degree piece sticking out when it is closed.
Hinge screws directed along the plywood layers? Pain to see. It doesn't look any durable. You could avoid it, place the hinge between the plywood planks, or think of something else. The attachment of the handle is a little better, thanks to the glue, but the screw problem is the same. It is almost always possible to avoid by design.
What in the world makes you think that a rudimentary taper jig is so special? There are many better, easier to make and safer to use designs available.
"Malfunctional?" I didn't know where this video was going. I've only made about 20 of these over the years... the first when I was a teenager. Please don't act like this is a new thing.
Great idea! Thanks.
Oh I stayed until the end, you made a miter fence cool good job.
Wow! That is GREAT!
Good Idea
Nice effort on that jig. My only suggestion is don’t let go of your work piece when it’s between the fence and the blade.
Yes, never do that!
^^^^ This. The begger can still twist, bind, and kick back. Push the wood CLEAR of the blade.
Perfect for cutting tapered table legs. --- Thanks for the great upload. ---
Cool 👌👌👌👌

He was cutting scrap. All cuts were square.

Nice work
Never pull wood out the back of the table saw, the blade can grab the wood and pull your hand into the blade I’ve seen people do it more than once
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 genial..!!!!!!!!!
Good job, though watching made me relieved my table saw came with a miter gauge.
This cut is so risky because blade is too high. Should be only 1/8" obove material thick is!!!
Genial einfach - einfach genial!
🙂👌

Agree! Most videos of this sort don't tell us what's being made, don't show. They want us to waste our time.

Un buen accesorio para la sierra. Un saludo
🙂🙌
When the first thing I see is your table saw blade AT LEAST twice as high as the material... scrolling on.
Liar, you at least came to the comments before you were "scrolling on" LOL.

Please add to your title tapering jig

Scroll to 7:20 to see the point! Why start in he wrong end?
Every time seeing someone uses $1000s tool to make cheap plywood jigs to save a buck or two, felt like a plain joke.
Loady bolix
question, what is the big leg on the back of it with the hooked leg sticking up?

Just say taper jig in title
I mean I would’ve just cut it with a circular saw in about 12 seconds…
Circular saws don't cut perfectly straight. Sometimes when you are making furniture or cabinets you need a perfect cut.
Ok so circular saw and a little sanding…still faster. And if your good you can get a straight cut

I’d like to see what you’re making before you show how to make it. Please.
Sorry, but nothing you are doing is safe. I wouldn’t recommend anyone following your table saw technics.
Dude, hate to burst your bubble but that has been around for decades.
Para que sirve
Nothing I hate more than a video that just shows something Doesn't tell you anything
Yeah, but you are like that. I wonder how you handle porn, do you need that explained as well? LOL! 🙃
After 10 seconds I scroll to the last minute to see what is being made, but yeah
Taper jig. Nice click bait

Good job. Very handy jig.
So you made a taper jig of sorts. This doesn't make your saw multifunctional
Google - Tapering Jig. Search TH-cam for Tapering Jig.🙂🙂
I purchased one for 16 dollars, why bother making it !
I could of just cut an angle on some scrap and use that as a guide against the table saw in less than a minute
