You take multi-tasking to a whole new level. All of your shop projects, apprentice program, farming, fixing, fabricating, repair, rebuild, retrofit and learning center. Oh yeah and film production studio. It makes my head spin. All I can say is thank you for taking us along and sharing your knowledge and expertise. Not to mention your sparkling personality. Lol.

    Hiya Andrew,
Great video, thank you. When you were saying in an early part of the film about how Shara had cut the cross members at 96 inches, if I were her, I'd have said, "No, you said 94 inches; they are all cut at 94" Just to watch you turn red...

I grew up in my father's mechanic shop working on everything from small engines up through 6 cylinder diesel engines. We had a handful of Deere tractors but they were the old 2 cylinder tractors. Nothing runs and sounds as good as the old 2 cylinder engines. We had an A , B , H and a D that I played with as a kid growing up.
I left as a teenager and I ended up working for my uncle working on semi trailers. We done everything from building new to repairing old. The main thing was installing aftermarket products. Welding and fabricating was always what I loved doing the most but somehow I never got away from turning wrenches. Up until I was in a wheelchair I was working still working on cars on the side for extra money. Building something like these boxes i would have been in heaven. 🙂🙂🙂

Excellent video the design of the John Deere tractors with the frame being the oil pan is a very good design what I like about it when you rebuild the engine you have to replace the crankshaft seals and all of the gaskets verses the other style of engine when you do a inframe engine overhaul caseih and other manufacturer use the same design and with the front wheel assist axle it packages way nicer and is way stronger I have had replace one of the sub frame front end like that one a New Holland tractor that the customers hire men got stuck bad in the mud and pulled it sideways and cracked the mounting holes for the front axle the casting had to come from Italy and cost just shy of 10000 dollars the customer was super mad at the hired men that broke it and the worst part it was only a couple of years old the customer thought it was a weak spot until he seen the 2 inch thick casting. Keep up the great videos Andy

On 8000 series engine swaps we normally leave the line bundle connected to the cooling package and just lift the whole unit off the front support and set it off to the side on a barrel, bench, saw horses, etc. Saves a bunch of time and mess not breaking into all those lines and having to refill the hydraulic oil and recovering / recharging the A/C.

Have you ever checked into getting material cut from the steel mill? The metal is made like squirting toothpaste out of a tube then cut to length as it comes off the line. You can save a lot of time and scrap if you have time to wait for the special order. We also ordered sheets in the size needed to avoid weld seams. You have telehandlers to work with it.

I actually like that oil pan design, I didn't notice the dowel pins at first but that's nice to keep the gasket in place and get the block sat down straight. The only downfall is if you wanted to pressure test and check for a leaking liner O-ring it would be nice to pull the pan off to look up inside with the rest of the engine intact, but other than that I would say it's better. Hopefully you made it up to the farm show today. Would've been a good day to come to New York but instead I'm stuck here monkeying around with 6 inches of wet snow
