Chaos Crescent Moon Pendant Easy Wire Tutorial by Jem Hawkes

Today's Free tutorial guides you through Chaos Wrapping, I'll show you how to create and fill a crescent moon shape frame, but the technique can be used on pretty much any shape you fancy. You can even create curved panels which can be sewn together to create beautiful 3D sculptures.
For your frame wire you can use 1mm/18g or 1.25mm/16g, for the infill I've used doubled up lengths of 0.6mm/22g wire.

Very pretty. I have been watching some paper quilling and this reminded me of that. I wonder how you can make something similar with swirls and curls, but not so busy.

These double swirls over the surface of a cabochon are divine, and you'd only want one or two for a "less "busy" look, especially a hot colour wire like this over, say a natural undyed magnesite, or a bright silver wire over a black onyx. The effect would be fabulous xxx

Oh how I wish I could afford enough wire to make a really dense chaos wrap like these! But wire is so expensive in India, even the basic copper electrical wires! 😭😭😭😭😭 And the wire stripped from old cables is just too thin & crappy to work with 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 **cries in frustrated artist**

I'm sorry to hear this, I suppose the saving grace of a design like this is that you can save and use scrap ends of reels and mix up the colours. Have a lovely day xxx

@@JemHawkes Yesss that is what I am compelled to do. I also beg the Internet Service Provider technicians to donate their scrap cables and wires to me, earning myself some very odd looks from them. 💀💀💀😭😭😭
