Wire Bezel Techniques by Jem Hawkes How to create your own wirework bezels

- For today's Free Tutorial, I'd like to offer a selection of wirework techniques which can be used to create a bezel to keep a cabochon safely attached to a frame.
I use these primarily in pendant, ring and bangle designs, but they can be used anywhere you have need to secure a cab. Each technique can also be used to create a halo effect around the outside of a frame too.
Most of them are super easy but one requires just a little extra practice to create an even design.
I hope you enjoy them, I still find use for even the most basic bezel technique after nearly 7 years of working with wire, and these options provide a great alternative to spending hours weaving complex or wrist ache-inducing wire woven bezel strips.
Have a beautiful day, love, Jem xxx

What is that tool called for making the circles?
The long wooden round tapered form is called a mandrel. Hope this helps.
@@JemHawkes no the one that looks like pliers with 3 different sizes to make the round loops
Multi step bail makers ... they come in a number of different sizes and are super useful. :-)
@@JemHawkes ohh ok thank you so much! 😊
Anytime sweet I'm sorry I didn't get it right first time xxx
Hey I need to help pls can you help me
How can I contect with you?
I need to shape to my wire but it is so thick and I did not I was trying to shape of zig zag pls can you help me
Your best bet is probably to get heavy flat pliers and turn right angles at regular intervals.
@@JemHawkes I can not shape :/
How heavy is the wire?
@@JemHawkes it is not heavy it is thick like 2 mm
2mm is a very heavy gauge wire, it's useful for structural work but I wouldn't use it for zig zag shapes.
