Likely perks of having low damage. The game probably doesn't scale boss armor in this situation due to being below Issac's base damage. Explains why even high DPS builds can take a while on hush if it isn't being one-shot.
its also the case that your not really affected by boss armor, if you had loads of damage but not quite enough to one shot it could potentially take you longer to get through the fights! Also lavencas is a pro so...

For death's scythes you can just hide in the left side of the screen, they cant reach you (though maybe this only happens if you play on resized window mode)

In theory you can start with hourglass find chaos card to kill dogma and plan c to kill the beast but i bet even seed finders wouldn't find a seed like that
you can't spawn with hourglass and plan c, even if your passive is backpack. eden only spawns with 1 spacebar item. Even then c-section would only kill just 1 harbinger i think?

Does eden go first, the blessing? if eden starts with an active item but doesn't give backpack and eden's blessing does give backpack can another eden's blessing give a second activated item? how does the game roll items, if it lands on a spacebar item when the value is >0 does it reroll, or when the value is >{activated-item-room}? This feels like something that wouldn't have been designed and is going to be down to the nature of how the game was programmed tbh
I didnt read any comment and i just wanted to say, i think the hourglass works like that cuz you just jumped through trapdoor in your floor (we know it from the intro) and using this you get back to home, it might be obvious but i play isaac very occasionally
It used to just have you re-appear the starting room. This is an intentional easter egg that was added because yeah it makes sense with the sequence of events like you said
Only thing to note is that Cas used a mod that shows you where Dogma’s Beyblade attack will come in from, therefore making it muuuch easier to dodge. Other than that this was essentially Vanilla.
Dogma’s next angle of attack will always be from the endpoint of the last one - it doesn’t teleport between attacks or anything. So it doesn’t help that much

this is not a real speedrun category, i called it a world record just cuz even then, I couldn’t care less if it was; I’m a youtuber, not a speedrunner… the fact that my game is even modded at all would disqualify me from any speedruns anyways

theoretically you could play teden, start with Glowerglass, a decent passive to beat dogma with (or not that'll just make it faster), then take damage, reroll glowerglass into Plan C, which instantly kills all the Harbingers and beast. What's the chances of that happening? 1/170 (assuming dead god) for the glowing hourglass start, then it's 1/169, reducing the denominator by one for each successive reroll you have, the count being depending on how lucky you are with what you reroll into. Heck, you could also add in rolling into starter deck or tarot deck, ripping chaos card from that to kill dogma. I've seen speedrunners reset for lower odds. Look up the Melee Peach target test run.
I often beat the beast with the same amount of dps, the difference is that I spend 40+ minutes trying to get to the beast and getting useles passive or only active items... I'm unlucky as hell in this game when it comes to getting good items. Never seen C-section or Rockbottom, not even Godhead in any of my runs even though I have them unlocked and I mostly go angle and not skipping secret rooms...
Didn't ever think this was straight up possible... At least without Genesis. The run could probably be a bit faster, with slightly better Eden stats, but then you're really going for the pure luck chance to shave a few seconds off.

He restarted the run after using console. And Glowing Hourglass turn into normal one after all uses. Interesting thing is, it changed after Dogma fight despite having 2 uses left. My guess would be it's coded to prevent softlock, cause using GH could back you up to livng room without exit or Dogma. But it's just my guess and I'm too lazy to check it :D
