This podcast is the absolute best. The writers/ process and insights on some of the biggest tunes in country music along with the artists playing them out on the road. Its a full circle type of Podcast that really brings some awesome perspective to a fan like me who loves to hear the origin of a song and understanding how it came to be. Keep up the great work everyone!!!
We need all 3 Flatts on this show. Great episode. Fans need a Flatts reunion. They would sell out all these big arenas and stadiums. Be cool to see Jason and his band perform together.
Can we get another episode with Gary LeVox been a rascal flatts fan since they started this episode was fun in they need to release that song lol😂 she a cornstar
Another great episode with Gary LeVox, I loved listening to Rascal Flats….I love how all of you interact with all the great guests that you get for your Try That in a Small Town podcast. Keep it up guys, you are amazing and I love all your episodes. Still looking to where I can get one of your Try That in a Small Town coffee mug. ❤
Man, that was incredible...where to start....first, this is such a great podcast and you guys continue to KILL IT episode after episode. I cannot wait for my t-shirts to arrive because I am going to wear those suckers out promoting this podcast....I will continue to share the podcast to as many people as possible each week, it is so good. So many wonderful stories this week with Gary and the live music was INSANE...really love hearing Neil sing with Gary....WOW! The stories about the early days with Gary (and all of the guests you've gotten on) are so cool to hear. Some things that triggered me in a positive way in this story: Hearing about Blackhawk as a possibility for Prayin' for Daylight (I was a big Blackhawk fan in the 90s), Take Me There (being a big Chesney fan - and Neil and Wendell), and of course Life is a Highway - I'm old enough to remember the Tom Cochrane version, and of course, Chris LeDoux's cover (RIP - I was a huge fan) - my two boys loved the Cars movie as youngsters and like Tully, I immediately think of my boys loving it (and they're both huge Rascal Flatts fans, as a result). Hope Flatts reunites! I remember going on a plane to Vegas from Baltimore in 2011 for a football betting weekend and at least half of the people on the plane were going to see Flatts...they were so huge (and still are). Thanks for another great week guys, is it next Monday yet?! LOL! (but seriously..is it Monday again yet?)
I wonder If they hung that car hood memorabilia with the Rascal Flats on it up right there behind them on the wall just for this episode lol if not that shot of it behind them for this video is setup just right
Though I agree Flatts did great on Life Is a Highway I don’t understand why people never mention Chris Ledoux did it just a few years earlier and also did great and had a hit with it. But folks only mention Cochrane and Flatts when talking about that song
Went to see Rascal Flatts when they came to Raleigh NC and I stood up to take a picture on the left side of the stage and there were I guess body guards that looked at me like I was gonna jump up on the stage! The stage had to be at least 5 feet tall and there was no way a 45 year old woman could jump up there! I had dirty looks the rest of the night from them that I swore I would never go back to see them!
Hands down my favorite episode so far!

Gary Still sings just as good as he did when they started he doesn't sound any different! His voice is in amazing shape!
What an absolute blessing Gary is to the world ❤
One of the best podcasts! Not “sophisticated” and I love it for that reason. Good dudes….loved the stories….amazing!

Music is medicine for the mind body and soul Thanks to you All with much Love and Blessings 🤠
Lots of good stuff. Really enjoyed the reminiscent stories about the Flatts, Printers Alley, and connections with Jason Aldean band. 😀Awesome show!

Awesome podcast
Love Gary and the other rascals. I'm gonna have to try the wine from Willamette (rhymes with dam it) Valley.:)
Dang son 🤘🏼 Neil got a great high register
I just looked up Corn Star by Craig Morgan, Jeffrey Steele was a co-writer on it with Shane Minor!!!
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
Then watching Craig Morgan steal corn star away

I feel like even the fan choice awards are political too.
Insta bio changes… nostalgic post. No dates for any of them in 2025. Gary says “25 could be different”. Idk seems like maybe just maybe
😂
