Some things are just ment to be done the old way.....😊 everyone involved....if it works why change it...
I wonder If they hung that car hood memorabilia with the Rascal Flats on it up right there behind them on the wall just for this episode lol if not that shot of it behind them for this video is setup just right
Gary Still sings just as good as he did when they started he doesn't sound any different! His voice is in amazing shape!
Thrash is a lucky man
Great job, guys! Is there a song that wasn't a single or even recorded that you are still proud of writing or being a part of?
Very true I’ve been in music and writing songs since I was 16 since the 80s I just now had a song on hold by Keith Urban unfortunately didn’t record it but gave me some hope keep on rocking out there😊
This is great 👏👏
Incredible and fascinating stories, thanks for once again taking us down memory lane! The stories are a big part of what makes this podcast off of the charts so good and you guys have it down pat. I listen to No Shoes Radio a lot and KC has these Pirates and Poets Guest DJ sessions and it's other artists, songwriters, models, football coaches/sports people, his band, etc (I've heard Danny Rader's session, it was great) and when the songwriters are on like Mac McAnally, David Lee Murphy, Josh Osborne, Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, etc. they were my favorites because I always loved their short blurbs on the songs they wrote but it always left me wanting many more details. Well you guys have TOTALLY captured that part and taken it to much higher levels - so thank you! The stories on how each of you met each other today were great to hear, too, because it's clear you 4 have an amazing dynamic and bond - I love when Tully calls things "God Moments" because that is so true. Always appreciate the insight into the business, I find that part very interesting, too. Would've loved to see Tully in that Merle Haggard tribute band, much like I'm sad I missed the early day festivals with the 18 minute Hicktown version (I'd pay money to see that again - especially if you had a fiddle player - that song kills!). Finally, what a surprising and super way to end the show with the whole Lindsay Ell story - I need to hear that full song - is there any way to do so? Most Amazing Thrash is so talented, I love when he breaks out the guitar and sings...so good! Once again you guys made my Monday morning!
More great stuff. Looking forward to the new album!
It's great to hear all your old stories it certainly was worth it. I'm glad you are telling of all the hard work and sacrifices you guys have been through. Not a five minute thing..❤
So could I move to Nashville to clean swimming pools?
I love listening to your stories ❤
You guys are awesome 😊
Great storeis, great people and huge blessings! Thanks guys!❤🔥
A little means alot... To those who have not...🤠
A show with Brantley Gilbert would be awesome. Keep doing what you are doing, the show is great
Nope, you are wrong. Weather people suck and are wrong and still get paid.
Great show!
Brilliant...picking things up in life ✨️ ✨️✨️ and being creative 😊 intuition..
Ass, ass and more ass advice.
This found me at just the right time
Goldberg ? Shes not even Jewish
Beautiful 😍 it's amazing how beautiful and remememberable things start....important feelings ,thoughts ,people & places...memories ❤
Wrote a lot of great songs but only one hit lol we can never define the hit ourselves that’s for the people to decide
I agree, let them live a life of a mother of 3 on disability.
America is sick and tired of the Woke alphabet cult.
I have recently started listening to this podcast. So I have made myself start from the begin and work forward so I know what has happened along the way….This may have been one of my most favorite podcast so far! Love listening to all of you talented writers share your God given gifts. You are each uniquely gifted and it makes it so fun to listen & watch.
The main bone 😂 And yes, driving in silence.. I feel that.
Thank you for answering my question about favorite song to perform (Life is a Bath) I would love to have Whisky Me Away released and/or performed. Its one of my favorite songs.
What hurts the most, was being so close... This applies to so many different aspects of this precious life we live. Going through something right now that resonates with this song. I need more strength to get through this and I don't know if I can. I feel lost, empty and scared. This is the hardest thing I've ever endured, personally. Thanks Mr. Steele for such a beautiful song.
❤lol 😂😂😂😂😂
I named my daughter Reagan. I adored President Reagan.
Great podcast Hearing about crafting songs and everyone’s personalities on music. Excellent 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I hate it when it gets dark so early and it is difficult for your body to adjust.
If you have livestock and a 9to 5 job, its rough when its dark at 530.
I aggree I love daylight savings...I hate going back to the dark cold times....
Another great podcast!!! Thanks for answering my question!!!
Great show!!!!!
Another great episode!
Whoopi actually renamed herself after her incessant passing gas. First, she was Caryn Johnson, then Whoopi Cushion, finally on her mother’s advice, she replaced Cushion with a Jewish sounding surname, ergo, Whoopi Goldberg.
Wow, that was such a great Q&A! Thanks for answering my question and for the love, right back at you guys, you continue to make my Mondays! The stories on the songs is one of my favorite parts of the podcast - they are so good! As for ending DST, I'm with you Kurt (and Clay Travis shares this view), but I understand Tully's point being an upstate NY guy, too. I've said this before, but the the interactions you guys have really make this show, it is so real and non-scripted and the interjections are a core part of the appeal to the podcast. Btw, I've watched several episodes many times, I think I've watched the Gary Levox episode 4 or 5 times because it was so funny and I love Thrash and Gary singing their songs - I Melt was great and it was where we first heard about the influence Thrash's great wife, Lana, had on creating that tune...the Jeffrey Steele episode is another favorite of mine, but there are so many....30 episodes in the books and every one of them has consumed my attention, so you guys are doing this right and I've never been a podcast guy before the TTIAST podcast! TK- best to your son on his college selection process, he sounds like an incredibly talented young man and I saw your Instagram post about him over the weekend, way cool. By the way, love Thriller but Off The Wall may be just as good....oh and interesting about your bass playing without formal education. I think Paul McCartney was never formally trained either as a bass player and his record speaks for itself..the bass line on Silly Love Songs is so good....and I know you're a huge Police fan, like me...I've seen Sting many times. All 5 of the Police albums are great, but Ghost in the Machine may be my favorite. My daughter went through the college process last year and is now at High Point University in North Carolina. She's very happy and I hope your son finds the same great happiness. K-Lo - you are clearly the idea man and I remember you telling the Rachel "Tough Crowd" story on an earlier episode. When I hear you say you're an idea man, and you clearly are, it reminds me of a really funny early 80s movie, Night Shift, starring Michael Keaton (he called himself the idea man - "feed the tuna mayonnaise" lol). You definitely have a very calming voice and smooth delivery on these episodes....Thrash - you're unfiltered honesty is so refreshing and needed in today's society, keep up the great work! Kurt - you orchestrate all of these episodes so successfully and it's fitting you were chosen to be the TTIAST Podcast Prez...thanks again guys, all the best and can't wait for next week already!
I think you all are entertaining sitting around that table. It is great to hear your stories. What about the other band members? We never hear anything from the other band members.
Great episode!
Do yall worry about a copyright on try that in a small town ? Do yall have permission to play it in video 🤣🤣🤣
Great podcast guys!
Please do a show about the stories behind the songs. That would be so interesting and entertaining. We are all curious
you guys have the coolist pod cast
Really appreciate the stories behind the songs. Good stuff!
Great episode, always good to get to know Kurt and Tully better, but a privlige to get to know Kelly and Neil. Good people who shine like stars on a dark night. Thank you for this podcast.✨✨✨
