Wow!! You know the Bible story about Job - the patience of Job? That's you! This project surely required a lot of patience, & it paid off!! Great job, as always. The steps look so good & are so sturdy! You've also got great assistants 🥰 Too cute with the mop & Lana looking out of the door!! 👍💗 God bless y'all!
Adam, the stairs turned out amazing. They look professionally done. Congratulations and fabulous job and results. Very impressive. Have fun at the Paul Bunyon Show and look forward to seeing the video. Have an awesome day.
When your greenery matures and fills in, and with your mom’s landscaping help, those steps will blend right in. Just keep the vision as all good landscapers do!
You did a phenomenal job on those! You should be VERY proud. It looks amazing. And your wife looking out the door at you using the mop........absolute classic!!!!
Adam those steps go great with the fall colors popping behind your house!! Just gorgeous!!... Once all the trees start showing off you should take pictures of the landscaping, House and colorful trees against that sky at different times and days.... gloomy, sunny, Marshmallow clouds and dusk... That's a heckuva set-up ya got there!
GOOD SUNNY MORNING FROM A GORGEOUS & (FINALLY) SUNNY 🌞 DAY HERE IN VIRGINIA BEACH!!…. Steps look great Adam! Nice job Now about that Mop you ruined 😮😂😂 Have a day!!
Although I do not care for the color, and would have stained them gray to match the boulders on either side… I understand the desire to match the home’s trim and think you did a great job. 😎
Looks awesome Adam! You see the flaws that no one else will ever see. Great that your parents helped too. You all can be proud of those steps! Take care!👍🏻
I’ve done sealing before on concrete, a hood pump sprayer would have done wonders and once you stray with a real heavy coat, you back roll with a light nap roller.
Hi Adam, just a thought; at the next big concrete project, look at adding color to the concrete mix. Works great and cuts out a lot of work after the pour. Once the concrete cures, just need to seal it and you're done!
that is my only issue with most concrete stains, they sort of all just look orange or rusty. Ive been a landscaper for 20+ years now. A pet peeve is when an iron rich fertilizer isnt blown off concrete, it leaves little rust freckles, essentially this same color. My preference would have been to try and more match the buff color of your bedstones. That said, you gotta blame the product, not the user. You did a great job.
Will you be welding up a 2 1/2 inch o.d. hand railing for the middle ? Or Two railings , one for each side ? I might recommend two ( one for each side ) one three inches taller for you and a shorter one for the older or shorter people And powder coating, don't forget the powder coating. ( if only we knew someone with a welder😊 ) Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your adventures.
The steps look great Adam. I can't imagine they would have looked better even if a professional did them. I was wondering how often you need to reseal them. Stay safe and healthy. Bill H from Cranberry Township
Looks great! I did a set of steps about 3/4 the size, 20 years ago. Used stackable wall rock for the risers, blue stone treads and lots of concrete. Took forever but still holding up. The downside is the cost, bluestone costs a small fortune now. Your design is probably better, more economical, and should hold up just as long. Great project! We have 20 years of family photos on our steps, I am sure you will too!
I wonder if it'll dye the rocks? Might be interesting if you sprayed the added concrete in the rocks to help blend it into the rocks/landscape? I know videos don't show it the best, so it may look amazing without it. I just figured it might give it a flowing into stairs type look.
Next time (if there is one) just add a colourant to the concrete mix (obviously in same proportions if batch mixing) and you'll miss out on all this lost time, faff and added expense. It will also be the same colour inside when the concrete weathers or is damaged in the future......
Adam now you’re going to be doing the mopping and then you’re gonna be doing the laundry 🧺 also the vacuuming lol with your new mops you have to buy ❤😊😮
We both had eye protection- his was wrap style sun glasses- you can see it in the video as he starts the top step…. and although you can’t tell, I had my prescription glasses and extra safety glasses. We discussed PPE - I also had long pink rubber gloves, long sleeves and long pants. He had long pants and rubber boots. He didn’t have long sleeves but I made him put on the blue gloves. I try to keep us in line!!! LOL
Looks nice, however you could have saved steps, time and cost by initially dying the concrete when it was in the concrete mixer. So even if the concrete wears or chips the concrete would be the same color. Yes less content for your TH-cam channel but then all you would had to do is seal it. Lastly, shouldn’t you have a handrail since you have more than 2 steps?
I wonder how well a solution of baking soda would work to neutralize the acid, a little less aromatic than ammonia, I know caustic soda is not an option, that stuff eats concrete.
Looks like you paid to have it done. Looks good 👍. Jimmy Diresta's latest video "don't do this, it is dangerous". You could rename your channel for all the experts to... , " This is dangerous, You won't like the Results TH-cam channel".😂
Ooooowww, i love what you have done, but my honest opinion, i think it looked better when it wasnt so yellow. Maybe its a "looks better in person" type of deal. But on this phone screen it looks very out of place. Sorry if this is not the comment you wanted to hear.
It’s ok… I actually wanted to add some more brown variations to it… it did look good plain. I can say that now when you drive up to the house, you can see the steps stand out.
LOOOOOOOL, your wife looking at the camera by the door was hilarious!
Adam, that's what I love about your channel is the variety of content!.....you and your family stay safe!!
Read the instructions? What? I thought that came later…
Very good job!!
The pond looks great.
They look great, Adam! Congrats again on your bravery to try something you've never done before.
PS - the new mini-ex is here at PCL - stop by sometime and show me how to run this thing! :)
I love watching you do projects never boring but things I never have access to do. Thx.
Looks great, Adam. Good to see your channel grow. Love the accounting mindset you add to every project.
Could not resist it looks great "like a ginger step child".
Niiiice! Never seen a slapping technique with a mop like that before. You nailed it though. Good job on the steps.
I’m a quick learner when it comes to mopping. The side slapping is an advanced technique few know about
I lol'd when the camera zoomed in on Lana after mentioning her favorite mop. 😂😂
Fabulous result of the entire project Adam.
Lots of work involved but how could you not be happy how it turned out...

Enjoy your trip to Paul Bunyan. Not going to make it this year due to vet appointment and kids sport events
That is a beautiful set of stairs and you should be very proud of the job you have done.
You said it, YOU can take pride in it. They look awesome, Concrete with the Hauses would be proud of your work!
Looking great adam must be almost time for a pond update
You did a phenomenal job on those! You should be VERY proud. It looks amazing. And your wife looking out the door at you using the mop........absolute classic!!!!
❤ just a suggestion... the concrete you put between your Stones, stain It Black. I think it turned out beautiful
Never get tired of whatever you post Adam. Your steps look superb. If you are happy with the steps, that's what matters. Again they look great.
I appreciate that!
The steps look great Adam. 👍👍💚

Have a day!!
We are in Duck! Not sure how Adam is going to get projects done this week! 😂
Although I do not care for the color, and would have stained them gray to match the boulders on either side… I understand the desire to match the home’s trim and think you did a great job. 😎
Adam you shouldn't be so critical of your work! You did an excellent job on this and you should be proud!
Thank you for posting and sharing.
Looks awesome Adam! You see the flaws that no one else will ever see. Great that your parents helped too. You all can be proud of those steps! Take care!👍🏻
Well done Adam!!!😊
You keep teasing us with that LS Tractor hat...
Baking soda works for nutralizing as well
We decided on ammonia because we wouldn’t have to stir !!! 😂
The way you present your videos makes any content interesting! Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!
I'm totally impressed with the work you have completed on the stairs!! Will congratulate at the Bunyan show.
Steps turned out great!!!!
It looks amazing! 🎉
I think they look great
2👍👍up
Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Looks great!
They came out really nice!
Looks great
The concrete steps look great and nicely complement the balance of the landscaping you have put in place.
Looks good 😊

Adam that looks fantastic! I really like the color.
Hey Adam, those steps came out awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Looks good Adam! Have a great Sunday,God Bless Y'all!!!❤😊
Looks good! Nothing like doing stuff and learning as you go and be happy about the result.
Really nice job, you should be proud of your work :-))
I am! Thank you
the zoom in on the wife hahahaha
Good job Adam, from this Point of View the colouring reminds me of a wood tone, which ties into your channel. 😊👍👍👍
beautiful
Beautiful! Now...for the safety railing. (or a reason to not install one)
Looks great. Add rails ?
Adam…nice job on the whole exterior. You should have Doug fabricate a railing for those stairs. 👍
Go tell him that haha
Adam, the entire project turned out great. You personify “sweat equity”!
Thanks!

A funnel might be good.
Looks great! You ever come to events near CT? Then I can finally meet you too.
They kind of remind me of steps that you'd see in Sedona AZ
Adam, your biggest mistake was your sock and shoe combination. 🙂
That was because I cleaned the bottom of the sandals and was only wearing those on the concrete to keep it clean
@@HometownAcres Just admit it Adam, you are a construction fashionista! 🙂
Those turned out very nice. I wonder how well using a mop or brush to even out the sealer just after you sprayed it would have worked.
I wonder if it'll dye the rocks? Might be interesting if you sprayed the added concrete in the rocks to help blend it into the rocks/landscape? I know videos don't show it the best, so it may look amazing without it. I just figured it might give it a flowing into stairs type look.

Instead of the mop I would’ve used a long handle brush. Looks nice!
Steps turned out pretty nice in my opinion but I'm thinking that you needed a lot more than one gallon of sealer. Probably closer to 4 gallons.
LMAO "My wife's favorite mop"
Adam now you’re going to be doing the mopping and then you’re gonna be doing the laundry 🧺 also the vacuuming lol with your new mops you have to buy ❤😊😮
Working with acid in a pressure container? Without eye protection? You Sir, are a brave man.

@@AdamsMom921 - god to hear.
Be thinking down the road what you will do when this great project needs hand rails.
If you wear those shoes and sox, you aren’t riding over with me. 😜😂😂😂 like @BarryHull said, your biggest mistake. Lol
Agree!!! 😂😂😂
Lol
Next on HTA: Adam constructs a dog house! 😂
Lol
Looks great Adan. How go buy your wife a new mop. HA HA HA
Important to re-apply sealer every 6-12 months😊
Fill your containers over something other than the concrete your gonna spray next time. Those drips can be a pain to work out.
The stairs look great. Now go buy your wife a new mop.

We debated as baking soda is also used to neutralize… you can use either. We picked the one we wouldn’t have to stir 😂.
@@AdamsMom921 Less string, but longer for the sinensis to recover, I find after exposure to ammonia, it takes an age for my nose to recover.
Looks good! You should be in long pants and boots thought doing this.
Apparently you don’t watch “Concrete With The Hause’s”.

you need a handrail for liability reasons - serious

How come you always leave negative comments? I’m just generally curious
@@HometownAcres Sorry you feel that way. Just trying to let you know that you can't be heard when you are so far away from the camera.
