The audio to multi-envelope is amazing
the midi out is probably the real news in this version! Ok, I’m not saying the rest isn’t amazing but this adds a real new feature to this magnificent software. Thanks UVI!
You on logic ? I cant seem to set it up within logic ... bitwig and fl studio worked for me
Yep, absolutely. I was about to spend a few hundred on a vst or hardware for a "step line" type sequencer but now I don't have to due to this update.
is the midi out just to external gear or other VI's (for the purpose of using falcon's arps and seq's with other VI's)?
@@nicebluejay it's a midi out. You can use it however you want like any midi source
Except it doesn't work as simply Cameron would have us believe. Need more explanation on doing things once the MIDI leaves Falcon.
Turning audio into an envelope is great. I would never even have thought to try that
Falcon is almost a self contained DAW within a single plugin and probably the most powerful VST available in 2024
Absolutely amazing
Thank you for this rapid lesson with many valuable features discussed that I was not aware of (Midi out + Audio + Envelop + MPE). Falcon is a true beast of a plugin, that I am yet to really discover (realizing that every time I watch one of your Falcon videos). It is heavy on the processor unfortunately, but then again, you do get a lot for the performance it consumes. Thanks for your time and effort!
Ive had falcon for almost a yeah now and didnt realise until now it had a mixer, i just used for presets. Its basically a daw within a daw.
Excellent Presentation. 👌 Thank You. 🙏
I love Falcon, it's my favorite plugin so far. It's like a state of the art emulator II but I think the UI can still be upgraded. I'd like to see a better zoom in the sample oscillator section like, say, ableton sampler and a double-click to reset a parameter's knob. Some crashes are still happening also which can be really frustrating.
I want to use the script processor event on the Model piano. The one with the Maag EQ but I want to use that in other effects through Falcon.
Do you know how to implement the midi OUT with LOGIC? I have found some Devies are not visible as a midi FX in LogicX
does anyone know how to use the midi out feature in logic pro x? you can not load falcon as a midi fx plugin, so how to control another synth or vst with the sequencers from falcon?
Can you do a quick run through of all the presets in the entire UVI catalogue :P
Does it include any user accessible samples for granular processing, for example? I couldn't find anything. Sure, we can download, but it's weird we don't have anything included.
Is there a way to have falcon generate its own notes? Can you do that with a script? That way I could use it outside a DAW as a stand-alone dawless synth. Thanks.
Falcon has Event processors, which include powerful stock sequencers. It also provides a Lua scripting environment that gives you full control over events (including note events) creation and modification, modulation, etc.. Event processors + Midi Out makes Falcon a standalone sequencer in itself.
@@GiovanniAllegri I looked a few years ago and even spoke to UVI and they told me that there’s no way for it to create its own notes from scratch. There always had to be at least one input note to kick off the arps and sequencers. Are you saying that has changed?
@@QuantumSynths1 Maybe years ago. I do it, using run(), playNote() and releaseVoice(). I can send an example if you want.
I've uploaded a video "UVI Lua script sequencer" in my TH-cam chanell showing a basic example. I cannot paste the link here because I guess comments with links are removed.
@@GiovanniAllegri Thank you. This is what I was looking for. 😎
6:23 Think spontaneously of Kenny ( Reapermania )😊
Uvi, please work on a Falcomania.
Are there already a good bunch of MPE presets in there ready to go?
There is around 100 MPE-presets. Nothing amazing but still nice I think. works well with the Osmose. There is also a easy to apply MPE script, im still a beginner in the tool so have not been able to apply it properly to any non MPE preset yet though
cool! anyone know which MPE controller he is using?
My question too.
Looked it up - it's a Sensel Morph with the keyboard style overlay.
@@pixelwash9707 thanks, sadly not in production anymore..
What's the difference between uvi workstation and uvi falcon???
0:48 : what's the brand-name of the Controller?
SENSEL MORPH
@@royklerks1266Thank you! I wish I had known about it when it was available.
Also is it possible to use a LIVE Audio IN as a source to be processed ?
no
You need to dust off your gear before recording 2:40
Besides that, nice an quick introduction to this amazing plugin. Is it a plugin actually?
Who has time to dust...just throw a sheet over it when not in use ;0. Yes, its a plugin and a standalone application.
does anybody know if you can use the FX in Falcon as a send on, say, an Ableton track, and route external audio into it?
no way to run live audio through Falcon
My focus was on the 10 power tips that were very helpful. Not what was in dude’s studio. Focus humans. Focus.
Just purchased this.
Why the hell did I wait I so long?….
I’ve been stalking this plugin for years.
I still live my Mach 5 but yeah…I guess she’s old news. Ha.
thanks for the upload but man, way too fast for me
anyone got midi out to work on a Mac yet
What daw are you using?
all sorted. no midi out for logic support. UVI gave me an updated Falcon3.01 which seems to have fixed the midi out in general@@musicman8942
Falcon is the best synth. But beware of Hyperion stealing the show.
Where is Dan?
The problem with Faclon is summed up when you described how to use MPE on a patch. There should be a single button to click to enable MPE with a prompt to map…. not the five steps you said. This is the case with most aspects of Falcon, and it feels more their back end environment that a well thought (but still powerful) user focused environment
while I agree it could be a lot easier to set up, there's no "one-button" solution to mapping MPE, since there's so many different things you could control.
It's a one button thing in Bitwig, and then the things it effects (defaults) are set automatically in various Bitwig elements and VSTs...so it is possible to do this in one step. You can go in afterwards and edit the settings.
affected narration voice bye X
Falcon is too complicated, it takes the fun out of making music in my opinion.
