Hi miriam, just a suggestion as a new mom myself, better not to take not apply the turmeric after bite balm now. It's best to start using it 3 months and above. Newborn skin is very delicate. So try to avoid it. And do carry maternity pads because the normal pads don't hold the bleeding much. Pee safe brand maternity pads are really good. I have used it and it helps in controlling and holding the bleeding since it will be heavy I mean pretty heavy for first few days after delivery. Also carry newborn diapers from pampers and a receiving blanket with hood. The baby stays warm in it.

Few suggestions as a new mom -
1. Try pampers active baby (taped diapers). It’d be easy to control the tightness around the waist so it’s breathable for the baby.
2. Pls wash your nighties, homecoming outfit too, before packing, for the same reasons - dye, etc. anything that touches the baby to be washed beforehand.
3. Nipple pads (for soaking overflow from other breast while feeding)
4. Breast pump (you may need it in the hospital itself, but your doc can confirm)
5. Paladai (ofc, prewashed and sterilised)

Make sure you take some healthy snacks and a water bottle with a straw. Its important to drink a lot of water for your milk supply to be good and breastfeeding will make you super hungry. In my experience it's always better to overpack because my babies always spat up and soiled their clothes, so having extra was very helpful. In terms of the products you use for the baby and yourself its better to stick to something that is hypoallergenic and fragrance free. Get small packs of everything so if it doesn't work for you there won't be a lot of wastage. Eventually you will find something that works well. Tape style diapers are best because the babys legs will be really delicate and maneuvering the pant style diapers over them will be hard on the baby. I could go on forever 😅

Keep some energy bars or nuts, you may feel hungry. I really happy for you dear, you gone through a lot just a little more to go. Be strong and keep fighting.
Pack hotbag also...it will be really helpful to cope with the pain and a sipper bottle which keeps you hydrated ✨️

I used pampers active baby taped ones on my newborn during night times and while we go out. Haven't faced any issues with that like rashes and stuff like that. I also used mother's Sparsh wet wipes while we are out. At home I used a bunch of precut soft cotton clothes from our old used clothes like sarees and dhotis which was really soft on baby's skin with warm water that I always store in a big flask next to me and a small mug to wet the cloth. And a box to throw the used clothes that we wash and reuse again. Hope this helps ☺ 🥰

So cute to see you packing and reminded me of my packing time which was two years back. Your hubby was right you can carry extra sanitary napkins for you. There might be heavy flow during that time. I used Pampers for my boy right from the time of his birth. Have a safe delivery and have good sleep before the baby arrives. Telling you out of my experience 😂☺️.
Huggies diapers in disposal diapers.
Bibe baby cloth diapers and cloth langot are best in dry feel inside , outer leak proof and more absorbance. I tried super bottoms and bibe baby cloth diapers for my twin babies, loved the fit and absorbance of bibe baby diapers. The elastic at the thighs of super bottom cloth diapers leaves a mark on my chubby baby girl.

Out of my experience my baby wore only that till she were 2😊
I used a feeding pillow . It really helped me with the back pain. Use lipbalm generously, Ur lips may crank more than usual and moisturizers.
Take clothe gauge pads... amazing for the stitches whn u hav a tear
Baby gloves and socks ( just in case)
Comb
You need normal pillow too...( it helps me a lot)
Hand wash
One cup and plate
Water bottle.
You also need more napkins..( hospital will provide but just in case)

Front open Jabbals which is easier to put for baby during the intial days and then later swaddle . Some cotton reuseable diaper clothes
Few cotton Muslim towels similar to the swaddle cloth ( while burping and all u need fo put in your shoulder )
A sleeping bag will be easier to carry baby back home .

Hi. I used Bambo nature for my newborn. It was a bit expensive but very soft and harmless. I highly recommend it.
Keep ur hot water bag it will be useful for u..i have seen that u have it ..u can use it in hospital for back pain

Take cottons, sweater or a Jacket,you might feel cold..
Feeding pillow will help a lot..so don't forget that ...Buy a diaper with wetness indicator that will be a best ..Huggies n Pampers will have that wetness indicator...
Please keep cotton for your ears. some amrutanjan or some roll on. Many people get headache and backpain after delivery .

Babyhug diapers are so good... It suits for my baby's skin. And babyhug balm for cold... Seriously that's helps me a lot to not giving too much cold syrup for my baby

I have 1 year old baby. In my personal experience i have tried many diaper brands for my baby (pampers,huggies,mamy poko pants,babyhug, bamboo nature, pureborn, allter, happy bella etc.,). In all those I found below is the best in both price n quality wise

Hi Miriam, u can use Huggies’ soft pants, the premium collection ,its really soft for ur babies skin. Its bit pricey but u will get it in offer. My babies skin is very sensitive, pampers gave her rashes also the material is not so soft , so never tried it again. There is another variety in Huggies’ which is nature care organic cotton even thats really nice. I will suggest to buy the small packet initially because each babies skin will be different. So u can try and see which is suiting best for ur baby.

I am in USA, but when I delivered my daughter in India at 2012, I used mama earth diapers. Now I am not sure whether it’s available but I got from Naidu Hall.

U need to carry more sanitary napkins coz it's a flood after delivery.😝 And yeah please wash ur new nighties and inners as well coz Everything will come in contact with baby right. I mean i did it bcoz i guess i have a tiny OCD. It's ur personal choice though. And yeah use diapers initially until u r good enough to take care of the baby urself unless u have a helping hand. I know first time mom is gonna be very cautious about baby's choice but please go easy on urself too. Coz a healthy and happy mom is equal to a healthy and happy baby. All the best. I have the exact same peach slipper from zudio and been using it for one month-I wore it during my Severe chicken pox when I couldn't move my body and walk bcz of burns,pain, the height looked high to my family but it's so compact that it won't come out of your feet. Take baby towel and bathing essentials like body wash, moisturizer etc as they might give first bath to baby in hospital itself. I have used Huggies wonder pants for my baby girl during nights..very comfortable. Day time i have used cloth diapers. Have been watching you from very long time. ❤️God bless you and your family! Dear Miriam, please have a feeding bottle as well. Just in case.. Have your coffee mug, a water bottle for you, a plate ( you might need) some energy bites or nuts to give you some energy when you are exhausted, your lip balm ( lips get really dried) , rubber bands for hair, airpods ( music really helps to calm down) , baby nail cutter ( you might need) .for diapers you can try the superbottoms cloth diapers. It's good.
I was also adamant before my baby s birth, that i ll use cloth diapers, but as the baby arrived I never thought of cloth diapers😂, it was so much easier to use disposable diapers, as baby eats n poops, eats n poops, as long as you use vaseline either on diaper or on baby skin u wont have diaper rash, any fragrance free diaper is fine, i have used pampers & its good. Use fragrance free products on baby. I also packed like u fr hospital, bt used nothing, i used hospitals, cuz whatever u take out in hospital has to be washed. Breast pillow will help u so much to feed baby.
