Only after he gives that "Thank you for everything" note to his parents does that change, crying for the 1st time, having finally been able to communicate with someone else. For Otto, communication is everything- hence why he punched Subaru to his senses with such vigor in EP38. The adult otto sequence in hometown tells us is Otto's craving for warmth & a partner through the visuals, him being a stickler for honesty, & a Blessing-specific insult triggering him to the point of doing the unreasonable. Otto finding confidence in himself, not only moving forward despite his Divine Blessing's drawbacks but also making use of it in the scenes to come, is very uplifting. Emilia is failing to do what she has to, and is in too much pressure because she is failing continuously, and feels worse because someone who loves her and has expectations for her succeeding is still giving her full support and she want's him to give up on her.... and that's exactly Subaru's position in the real world with his parents, The same expectations that almost destroyed his life and same would have happened again if accepted echidna' contract living though lens and expectations of others. Her self-worth is in shambles, and the kindness & understanding shown to her by Subaru & Puck come off as unreasonable & scary. Emilia, left alone by both Puck & Subaru against the memories slowly flooding her, isolates herself at the Tomb. She desperately wants to lean on someone (recall EP36), but has no one for it., from this point on, is all about getting Subaru's feelings through, re-establishing a healthy communication, & not have her rely on anyone. Her self-worth is in shambles, and the kindness & understanding shown to her by Subaru & Puck come off as unreasonable & scary,This is also an opportunity for Subaru, for the first time ever, to vent out his not-so-positive feelings towards Emilia, as he lays his entire heart bare. That's a new side of Subaru, and it's been a long time coming. However, even with all that said and done, he finishes it with "I love you". Because the idea here is that love, and thus believing in someone, needs no justification like how Emilia thinks. All the flaws & strengths he spoke of don't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Take note of Subaru's words here - his growth is notable, and this conversation feels like a continuation of their quarrel in S1 Episode 13, in a way, Subaru accepts all of her weaknesses & offers to walk by her side, without doing everything for her (like by taking the Trials. To Emilia, Subaru's genuine love for her feels like his suffocating idealization of Arc 3, as she refuses to believe him and take his words at face value. "Don't talk like I'm just some doll!" especially cuts deep. But it is precisely because he doesn't see Emilia as "just some doll" (anymore) that he left her side (among other reasons), not letting her entrust him with everything. Finally, the end touches upon the other main source of her struggles-the fear of how she'll turn out after regaining all of her memories, and whether she'll still be herself. If the point of origin is wrong, doesn't that make the path walked and the destination all wrong as well? Here comes into play Subaru's "homework". It doesn't matter where Emilia comes from, or how her experiences shaped her. It won't erase the path she's walked until now, won't change his thoughts on her, & no one can decide her path up until now has been wrong until the very end. The last scene's uplifting brightness is a clear, deliberate contrast with their grim first kiss in Taste of Death. "It was not not like the first time, which carried the cold taste of death. The second kiss... bore the hot taste of life." In the end, Subaru proves his point through actions rather than words. As for Subaru in fact, he also tried to impose an idealized version on Emilia, but that changed after the insult he got from Otto, as for Emilia herself, she accepts Subaru as he really is without idealized versions (statements from Emilia herself).
@@greed1925
Nope, it's not a wholly idealized version of him... because he ACTUALLY demonstrated the traits she idealizes. She actually saw him save her. She actually saw him do so many heroic things, despite also being a bumbling fool. She and he also have reciprocal conversations and loving actions toward one another. He talks WITH Rem, not AT Rem.
Whereas Subaru NEVER sees Emilia do these things, he's just overly smitten with her. He talks AT Emilia, not WITH Emilia. He just forces himself on her all the time.
@@Un1234l nah bro, go read the LN, you need it, your statements are literally taken out of your head.
I also forgot when I saw this, so no criticism. But we actually knew about Otto talking to animals in season 1. I think it was when they were catching up to Emelia or running from Betelgeuse
Ram is tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-tsun-dere just like Bocchi’s manager. LOL
This has serious ramifications
Otto threw Subaru off cuz the white what is also an animal & it attacks mentally. Imagine state of otto when what was hungry for Subaru & chasing them, which only he could translate.
Also, otto's first letter to parts was "Thank you for raising me". And that white cat was his first crush/love (sad lol)
5:00 😂I don't want to have Carlie as an enemy
I can't believe he'd put a baby into her just like that
Ram is still a demon prodigy, albeit with a missing horn
Bruh, everything he said, was similar to what Rem said to him hahahah, how is it cringe if Subaru says it, but normal if its Rem
lol cause its subaru
@5:50 perfect DES!
Happy Friday or Saturday in ReZero 😊
I recommend you react Rezero s1 and s2 break time episodes.
Each episode duration is 3min. And all episodes in break time episodes r canonically happen.
Especially rezero s2 break time episodes of Otto gives more info why he considered subaru as his best Frnd
After apparently stealing that guy's girl, Otto even stole the OP, truly his time to shine.
Regarding the dialogue between Subaru and Emila, well it's an argument between two socially awkward teenagers, so I think it's purposely meant to have some cringe factor.
Guese The Goat
10:49 just because your sorry ahh hates emila you can’t call this thing cringe 🙂
Off topic but I recently finished Saiki K and I definitely recommend it to yall. I’m sure you’ll love it!
Nah! Mashle is best these days!
@@kowsermia4156 I mean they’re different genres but Saiki K was goated
@@kowsermia4156nah, mashle sucks. 1st season was so bad it was funny, second season already lost my interest, it’s always the same “mashle is strong” cycle. saiki k is way more entertaining.
100% agree mashle is funny but its always the same cycle repeating, i've not even seen half of saiki k but I can tell its a better show
Otto best boy
Otto best character
Otto best waifu
Ya the diologe is a little cring but subaru is trying to get across is that even if with emilia getting her memories back and changes subaru will still love and care for emilia so he listed superficial things about her subaru still has room to grow but comparing this scean to episodes 13 and 25 of season 1 and it parreles rems speach to subaru in ways its shown how much he has grown already
I mean Subaru is cringe so it's 100% in character. And I don't mean that in a bad way
@@Ash_Wen-liNot really after S1
Subaru has always been cringe from the start and still is now. Difference is that the cringe is good because its used for the right moment such as confessions.

Overlord 😊😊😊

Hi good evening here from the Philippines Chalie and Ange. May I suggest on the last 4 episodes of Blue Lock can you react on English dub. Why? Because it has more emotions in this 4 episodes and a special tournament. I won't spoil too much. If you read this please give some thoughts about it. Your no.1 fan here 😘😘
