- Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) and Timo Isoaho (author of We Were Here -book) talk about the book, the ongoing tour and the future.
I made English subtitles for all non-finnish speaking fans out there. If you appreciate it, I hope you like or leave a comment.
LOL that introduction. "From Nightwish, Tuomas Holopainen, and......." *changes subject* LMAO. Guess he didn't know who the other guy was
He had to look that up from the book
lmao!!!!!!!!
He talked about the book which has Timo's pictures. So it was longer introduction.
@@eerokarhunen Ah yeah true, he does say "Timo". Maybe he did have to read it from the book though
@@OheyBro That is quite possible!
I love seeing Tuomas speaking in his native language, he's different here than when he speaks English, which is understandable. I can't wait for the next album!
Tuomas - The Greatest composer of 21-st century!!!
but a diva
May be the "all time" best band, ever, regardless of genre. Hope it lasts, as long as they Nightwish it to. The intellectual level, of these members. is much greater, than most, I've heard attempt to string together a thoughtfull cohesive, idea, perspective or concept. Great interview.
He knows how to tell a wonderful tale through his music 📚
Nice interview ! And thank you for adding english subtitles ! :)
@11:00 2 years later, he did released a new album on spring and it's an awesome album!
Thank you for English subtitles! Greetings from Poland :)
Thank you for the video and especially the subtitles.
Finally - English subtitles, Thanks. Love Tuomas's tshirt
Thank you for the upload and translation.
Ok, I can make english subtitles, but it will take some time. Tomorrow I'm off to see Nightwish in Copenhagen! :)
Kari Pajunen thank you very much for the English subtitles! Finnish is so hard to understand ;)
Thanks a lot! Nice to read/see the interview, especially after getting the book at the show last monday.
Thanks for the subtitles! Much appreciated :)
Thanks for the subtitles !
thank you thank you thank you for the subtitles!!
Thank you sooooooo much for your translation.
Kylläpä taas on jotenkin kehno haastattelija valittu tähän.
Hoiti hommansa monotonisesta puheesta huolimatta hyvin.
Johdattelevat ja stereotyyppisrt kysymykset, joista suurin osa opetuksista meni metsään
Kyseessähän tosiaan ylen aamu-tv ja katsojien joukossa paljon kukkahattutätejä, että ihan kelpo siihen nähden.
Nicklas von Wanker elementissään, ylen aamun kehnoimpana haastattelijana.
I love Nightwish
Holy shit that was footage for the next nightwish DVD live in Buenos Aires. Cool
Very interesting to hear what people think about South-American Fans mood/behaviour during concerts.
Tuomas forever !!!
Interesting that Tuomas said he'd be calm, still and clap at the concerts, like most Europeans do, while in reality he's the head-banging beast on stage!! xD Possibly two personal traits here, one trying to be calm and the other - hungry like the wolf! :-D
It's quite typical I guess. When I'm on stage, I headbang alot etc, but when I'm in the audience, I just stand still, maybe a little fist pump and clap after a song. :D
I'm too lazy to make subtitles, but if someone wants to, I can add them to the video. EDIT: Added!
@Tony Montana Lisätty :)

This must be the first time I see Tuomas with his own haircolor. I guess he didn't bother to keep it dyed black during their break. Nice, :)
I'm shocked
they are finns they all are blond XD
@@happymaker2344
And yet no one on this video is blonde...
@Marian Hawke
Are you high? Or do you not understand what the fuck blonde means? Neither of them are blonde. Besides that's not how color blindness even works you moron.
@@ToveriJuri don’t you know that outside of Finland all these people are considered fair haired or blond? Only in countries like Finland people are arguing is ash blond or dark blond actually real blond hair colour. When I was living in New York no one could believe that people are naturally as white skinned or blond haired as I was 😂
Tuomas reminds like live Guy Fawkes mask, or am I wrong?
Thanks for subs!

I don't speak Finnish, but it seems to me that Tuomas speaks a bit differently than the interwiever guy. Or is it just me? I mean the melody of their speaking and the way they say some consonents seem a bit different to me.
Interesting that you noticed. In Finland we have many dialects and now that you mentioned, Tuomas indeed has a subtle dialect of the region he is from (Pohjois-Karjala). Some words are pronounced a bit differently and tone is a bit different. On the other hand, the interviewer tries to speak clear, written language. Maybe that's why the difference is so noticeable even for a foreigner.
In fact litteral language is very seldomly spoken in Finland, only in formal situations like for example in TV news or state political ceremonies. Otherwise everyone speaks dialects and most of them are quite different from the litteral language, which causes problems to people trying to learn Finnish, as they realize the litteral language they studied, is not spoken. But it does help to understand.
@@Aurinkohirvi I've heard Floor say that too. When she has talked about trying to become proficient in Finnish she has brought up the difference.
@@pauldoerwang4879 Yeah well you speak one dialect, or the litteral, but understand them all. No different from other languages. I suppose it depends in every language what is the case, but in Finnish case the litteral is synthesis of dialects (not so much the eastern and northern dialects though). Might be difficult in Floor's case, because she sees people from different dialect regions. Would be easier to be in contact primarily with one dialect people. But foreigners usually don't speak a dialect, they also learn a synthesis of spoken dialects and the litteral language.
@@Aurinkohirvi I see what you mean. Makes sense. Thanks
If you speak finish, you belong to the top intelligent people of this planet. I can't. But I will try to. Kitos Nightwish
finnish...
Oikeestaan juuri mistään muustakaan. No ainakin on ystävällinen ja rennon olonen kaveri.
😍❤💕😘😘😘🤘
Finnish subtitles? I need this because I am learning Finnish.
Were you there
Well finnish seems to be always serious
Not always. There are people like Tarja, who are constantly bubling cheerful duracell bunnies. But yeah, you can't waste energy when climate is harsh and summer is short. Must consider and plan everything. Sure it has changed with urbanization when your life isn't any more constantly threatened by hunger. Our parents and grandparents were even more serious!
Yeah buddy
luckily I am Finnish. NIGHTWISH

On,, holopainen👍ei voi käsittää,,
6:13 That point where I don't get that if in this context Spain is a "latin" country or if they talk about latin america...I've been whether the concerts of Madrid of 2016 and 2018, and I didn't hear anyone screaming Olé XDDDD
The United States is guilty of that. I've seen tons of times in American cartoons where Mexicans are mentioned for some reason talking about tacos, chimichurri(Argentinian thing) while the characters are wearing a "matador" creating a lot of confusion.
@@diegocampista3971 Wow...I hope it isn't because of that. I can expect that from the US, but from another European country which is more or less our neighbour...
Pretty sure they just had a latin america tour and that's what they referred to.
Tuomas 🐱
Of course the video inserts were those with Tarja.
Guys, all NW singers are great, but hey! Tarja is Tarja 😁
Well, seh's Finnish, and so' the TV station. :p
Tuomas 1:21
What a shame not to know who is your interviewee 😕 an awful host!
I was outmost uncomfortable with this "presentation" of guests
