Would like your opinion on this expansion! I enjoy the base game alot, and I dont know if I need this expansion or not. Thanks!
Well, it depends. 🙂 The base game is perfect as it is, it doesn't need any expansion (although the new guilds are nice 😉). The Contractors add a new way of scoring points and another die for the resource rondel, and it feels to me like a different version of the game. It is more complex and you have more options, and the game has a different dynamics, but that doesn't mean it's better or worse - it's just different.
However, I personally like how simple and elegant the original desing is, so I prefer to play the base game only. But I like the new guilds, so I play the base game WITH the new guild every time. 🙂 So it depends on your preferences - if you don't necessarily need to have the expansion, then... you don't need it. 🙂
