He's actually _extremely_ , dramatically different off-camera and most of his skills are mid-range, at best. The shop and their attire is nothing like that, either. Anything he's half-decent at is destroyed by the bad vibe and experience. Not recommended, esp as Austin is lit with elite talent

This barber is very professional! The haircut was on point! He delivered exactly what was discussed during consultation. 👌🏾 people knock on the lines but that's because its different, i cringed when it came to that part but he delivered and that's what matters. Great cut.
Agreed. While the cut did not suit his hair or style, the barber nailed what he was asked to do.
In the end, that's the goal of every good barber. Nailing what the customer asked for!

I use to do the line graphic on my left side when I was in high school but it doesn’t look good without having a fade. The barber lined his beard up very well I must say.

Couldn't agree more, the guys hair was way to long for the lines it made them look like chunks had been cut out rather than lines, not the barbers fault that's what the customer asked for, great vid tho.

Goldilocks The barber didn't really give him a good cut. He seemed careless with the cut on top. And the beard looks a bit overly clean for what I'm use to on Jack. I wouldn't be surprised if Jack hated it but wanted to spare the barber's feelings.
Eric Gonzalez I pretty much had the same situation where I showed a barber a pic beforehand and didn’t workout at all. Experimenting with a new barber and your beard is a bad idea.
I'm constantly stressed out, I think it just shows more when I'm on camera for long periods of time.

Goldilocks I agree. I always recommend to stick with one barber who fits your style. Not to sound like demeaning anyone, but some races have different textures hair than others. I think this guy doesn't know how straight hair "operates" and the best cut strategies to get the hair looking great just like I wouldn't know how to cut curly hair since I am straight hair.

True but that's what I like about it... it's something unique.
No bullshit. This is actually the absolute BEST haircut I've ever seen on this channel. And it's not really anything great or amazing at all. But only for the fact that it is not a shitty bowl cut with bold lines going all around the head. Just a very simple #3 to #6 blend with a little more then a finger length cut on top. Overall just a pretty good clean haircut which you don't get to see EVER on this channel.

The cut is too round it could have a better shape. Hair on the parietal ridge is too short, the shape is just off.
Hair Hood has a broad variety of hair cuts, although sadly not many beard trims, but still a really good barber channel. You should check them out if you want to see more interesting hairstyles then the sort of bowl cut or Caesar hairstyles they often give in this channel

The barber college I go to has this same type of relaxed vibe. I've been going there for over 30 years and I've never had a bad cut. There's always instructors there to step in if something goes wrong. The haircut is $12 but I don't mind giving them $20. It's definitely worth it.

I think this Barber did a great job and I would like to see more of him and his haircuts. The cut looks great! I think it's good to see Barbers take their time because we live in such a culture where we emphasize quickness and that hurt our industry a lot.

It’s preference. I for one being a barber always educate my clients as to why tapering is always the best option. Keeps the back of the nape cleaner and doesn’t look messy after 3 days. #alwaystaper

Jack's complicated list of specifications made the barber work in tensed atmosphere. Jack is sceptical through out all the hair cut 😂

It's very different in-person, including they don't dress anything like that and the shop doesn't look like that, either (all of which adds critical professionalism and allure). But that's where things go wrong. I feel like it's the barber's duty to give his opinion and steer the customer in the right direction as most people don't really know what will look good. In this situation, the barber should've let him know that the hair needs to be shorter to pull off lines like that and give his opinion on what would look good. Just my two cents anyway.

And the customer sounded like he knew what he wants.. He explained the haircut how he wants it directly... I think it's not the barbers fault, he said let's make the lines not to high...

How long should I expect to spend in a barber shop when getting the full treatment like seen in this video? I've always trimmed my own beard (short beard kept at 1in) and got the quick assembly line haircuts from places like trend cuts. After finding your channel and watching a lot of your videos I'm inspired and now going for the yeard. Consequently I now need to find a good barber in my area, for some reason sitting in the chair is a big anxiety trigger for me LOL how long would you say the average visit is for a cut and beard trim?
I don't know about other guys' experiences or other shop, but the barber I've gone to this year schedules 1 hour for a cut, and one-half hour for a beard trim. He could probably do the cut in a shorter time, but to me the hour is a relaxing experience so I don't mind sitting that long. He's not one to let you out of the chair until everything is "just right". Pick a couple of shops out and give them a call or look for the shop on Facebook/Twitter/IG and connect with one of the barbers to see how long a cut / beard trim usually takes.
