For this episode of the Why Nobody Plays series with the Digimon card game, we will be talking about the RagnaLoardmon Deck. But more specifically the Digimon TCG Legend Arms archetype as well. I have made a RagnaLoardmon Deck Profile and RagnaLoardmon Starter Deck with the RagnaLoardmon Deck Upgrade as well before, so be sure to check those videos out. RagnaLoardmon Deck BT12 seems to be more geared toward the Wargreymon decks as a top end finisher. RagnaLoardmon Deck 2023 wouldn't change much at all since there are no new support cards yet. But we will be getting a new Zubamon promo card which will greatly help the Digimon TCG RagnaLoardmon Deck. RagnaLoardmon Deck Budget is very easy to build for beginners. RagnaLoardmon Deck VS was also part of the Battle Series with Jesmon vs Ragnaloardmon on the channel. RagnaLoardmon Deck List features black and red cards with the Legend Arms Digimon. The question isn't really focused on why nobody plays ragnaloardmon since the Digimon TCG RagnaLoardmon is actually a very powerful card alone. But many RagnaLoardmon Deck Build doesn't play the card within the archetype. Digimon TCG RagnaLoardmon Starter Deck is a great way for players wanting to learn how to play the Digimon card game. Saw another creator use Ragna as the DNA instead of alter S. The new alter S support makes it turbo out 2 Lvl 6 quite quickly and the colors happen to match
Love this deck and honestly what they should’ve done is made all the Digimon two color black red to speed them up
I'm betting that the next time they give this deck support, that'll be what they do. At least I hope it will be.
@@knightofsteel2783 They made another mono-red Zubamon instead. I think it also would've helped to just give the legend-arms alliance a "you may ignore this card's color requirements if you have a digimon with "legend arms" in it's traits in play" clause to be viable.

Hoınestly as a someone who played Ragnaloardmon alot i can say that Zubamon promo help this deck...alot!
It allows you to stack the top of your deck so you can play a level 5 with your level 6s
It makes Durandamon's effect to gaimn dp and Sec+1 live even without attacking and it makes its attack safer by allowing you to raid an opponent's digimon to activate its "when attacking" effect to search and player a level 5.
And it does all that for just 1 memory ( you can make that back thanks to your ST13 Sakuttomon) is crazy.
I wish they could annone that card for TCG already.
The thing that keep going to your videos is that you are positive view and you respect the cards and players that might play the cards that you cover. I dont hate this serie at all. I think it's a good way to see why certain decks fail and how it can be improved in the future.
Adding the "Evade" ability to some of the Level 5, or making "Evade" Inheritable for Level 4s would likely fix the issue for the Legend Arms Archetype.
The Level 5s can stick on the board a little longer while building, and perhaps making a new Spadamon Dual color that digivolves for zero on a Legend Arms Lv 2 or on a specific Lv 2 Digimon can help.

Legend-Arms to me is honestly one of the coolest ideas for a group in Digimon and no joke, I discovered them looking for DnD character ideas as my group runs a session where we make OCs basically from various games and media and my OC is a Cyber Sleuth character who uses Zubamon and Ludomon as partners and as his weapons in fights.
The moment I saw Ragnaloardmon, I was amazed and it shot up to my top 5 favorite Digimon of all time. Honestly this video has given me ideas for how to approach custom cards for the DCG based on my character and his support. Thank you for this video man and can't wait to see more from your channel in the future xD
And now EX06 has given Ragna some cracked support
Ragna was one of my favorite decks and is highly popular in my local game store! It even snacked some first places.

We gonna get a "why everybody plays" series?
This’s the deck that I’ve had the most experience since my start a while after the starter deck’s release, and I got to say that if we got a more modern version of BT5 Ludo’, a synergistic Tamer, and any form of protection as you have mentioned, the archetype would be able to have some lasting power outside of literally just seeing the right cards.
Thankfully, Promo Zuba’ is a good first step forward, but Bandai TCG has really been stingy with Legend-Arms support in comparison to how it lavishes Jesmon, the starter deck counterpart. It also helps that the top end’s easy to tech out due to Red and Black Mega’s being as varied as they are.
All in all, it’s just very fun to build up the literal presence of a Ragnaloardmon that either constantly pressures or just wins the game outright, and I’m looking forward to see how builds for its archetype develop in the future.
Actually played my Legend-Arms deck today at college actually! Went against my friend's WargreyX.
Legend-Arms will always be a favorite. ❤

I literally just bought this deck to start playing the game because i love the legend arms. I really want more support to make it sturdier
I’m excited to try Ragnaloardmon as a top end to the new Omnimon Jogress deck
It makes me think that possibly the black memory setter Izzy might be a good addition to the deck. It provides a black source for Legend Arms Alliance, and at least once, it allows you to rearrange the top cards of your deck for use with Durandamon. More cards that let you set up your draw makes it easier to play the effects. But in the end it would be solved more quickly if everything was just dual-color.
Did this with my version of the deck, it works pretty effectively

Four Great Dragons for episode 4 please.
I feel like Gaiomon (BT9-068) would be a great addition to a Ragnaloardmon deck. Picture this: Your opponent has 4 security cards left. In one stack you have Zubamon, TiaLudomon, Duramon and BryweLudramon. In the other stack you have Ludomon, ZubaEagermon and RaijiLudomon. Next you digivolve your Raijiludomon to Gaiomon. It may cost 5 memory but because you have both red and black in your stack that means that you can blitz with an extra security attack + de-digivolve 1. He is also red and black so that makes him even better. You remove 2 cards from your opponents security stack. Next you DNA to Ragna because of Duramon's inherit. Because you have 8 cards that means that you can trash 2 cards from your opponents security and remove 2 digimon your opponents field. Because Ragna has Blitz that means he can attack your opponent and win the game. Is that a good idea, you think?

I just got into digimon tcg and my only complete deck currently is this starter deck and I just love all the designs of the digimon
My fave archetype i do wish for more legends arm supoort but im happy to still have it with me to play probably not in tournaments but for a casual match with friends
the champs and rookies having the same abilities is a hint that you can and should criss cross the evo lines. for drawing power, take advantage of the in training hereditary, reducing your memory cost every time you evolve, letting you draw more cards sometimes for 1 or 0 memory
The egg gains you a memory when you play a digimon, not digivolve.

@@nicedood614 well, the logic still applies with the bottom stacking. Summon a rookie or champ to slide under, get memory back
@@edsainmuramasa4751 the issue with that is that it’s only a opt effect and the rookies still cost memory to play. Sure it would be for a reduced cost but the only way you’re actually gaining memory from this is if it’s played by effect. Overall it’s just slower and inconsistent. Don’t get me wrong, I love the deck, zubamon is my favorite digimon, but unfortunately it’s just not consistent and fast enough to compete in this meta. It honestly felt like when it was released it was meant for an earlier meta. I am hoping the future zubamon promo means we’re getting some more support soon though.
Yea i feel that if there would be some tamer support in the deck it wil already give it a huge boost
With lunamon and the four sovereigns, there is clear video game focus in EX5
A new tamer is impossible but forgotten digimon Armamon and Omega Armamon Burst Mode is perfect for new support.
A boss Digimon for the Archetype
I believe bandai could do a new wave of support in a EX set, with the currently only missing legend-arms mon, Armamon, who could be a new lvl 7 for legend arms decks
i think the more dual color legend arms would be nice as well as a piercing source to go with the new zubamon raid inheritable maybe a zubaeager or duranadamon and then a raijiludomon similar to the st dura is nice cause of how much memory the dura save you when digivolving since it make brywe and duranda cheap with brywe going to 2 for cost and duranda to 1
This past tournament I went into ragna on turn 2 its not just luck but I've built the deck to stay consistent with almost every card you reveal with a legend arms effect has a play cost of 7 or less which increases the chances of your OTK and or critically putting your opponent at a huge disadvantage by putting pressure on their security and also battle area. Ever since I've been playing digi for over a year I've never went up against another ragna players which surprised me but he's really good even without the new BT13 release support which leads me to know that he will become a outcast that people don't run and talk down on but yet he's a underdog that scares other players lol.
You cracked the code. I play the deck the same way and ragna is definitely a threat but most players can’t see how good it is. All people need to do is increase the number of lvl 5 legend arms and boom deck is super consistent. I’ve been testing a lot with it and I haven’t whiffed once but of course thanks to Izzy and black memory boost those help alot
I already ordered the a set of the new Zubamon promo that gives any legend-arms or black digimon "Raid" and let's you look that the top 3 cards of your deck and put them back in any ordered to the top or bottom of your deck and then gain 2 memory.

Now that ACEs have been introduced, do you think BryweLudramon's inherited effect is better since it protects RagnaLoardmon from pesky ACE effects such as the reactive de-digivolution of Vikemon ACE?

Wait, it trashes a security for every 4 Sources? I thought that only applied to the deleting of the digimon
I remember loving Ragnalordmon when it 1st came out as it was a time when Omnimon was the best deck *BT1 to BT3 I belive* and when they said the Structure Deck was a Ragnalordmon I was hyped.....then I got the cards played the deck and it never felt right like it was very clunky *even trying 3 different builds and still felt the same*
I think some people missed that intro disclaimer and just commented based on the title lol
Machine/Chaosdramon can very easily reach 20+ sources and close games out. It's my Win Connin that deck at the moment.
Ragna was my first deck I ever built since I started playing digi and I still play Ragna in tournaments and top every time, I use no tamers or options that's the best way to play the deck plus when BT13 comes out Ragna will get Raid which is going to make him more aggressive. Its funny to watch other players I play in tournaments get scared of a structure deck lol

i'm playing with this deck at my locals. It's pretty decent, i've won against a lot of my fellas, but it's true, the deck is kinda slow, it need a good black/red support to become something better
Is 2 of this starter ddeck worth? I'm thinking in start in the game and idk what to build. I was thinking in aa DarkKnightmon, but I like a lot the art of RagnaLoardmon, what do you suggest?
As much as I like Ragnaloard/Legends Arms, if you REALLY want to win games, you probably want something else instead. You do get a set of 5 tamers, one of which is decent for black decks and another being REALLY good for blue heavy decks like Imperialdramon or UlforceVeedramon(Which...I also do not recommend, due to the cost of Rina from BT11.).
DarkKnightmon seems pretty respectable? Might be a little pricy you run the Promo Dorumon and Deathxmon.
EDIT: You might to check if the stores in your area are doing a prerelease event too sometime this weekend. That's a good way to get started and meeting the players you'll be seeing for most of the store.
EDIT2: Hopefully they're not super sweaty and willing to help point you to the right direction

If Bandai wants DNA digivolving to be a successful archetype for lvl 6's they need to make them have conditional play cost reductions and end of turn digivolve effects. Playing any stack out of the battle area for a turn is too vulnerable for the better decks that have effects that interact with your battle area. A good opponent will just lock you out of your second peice you need for the digivolution knowing you want/need it.
This is why I tech in 1 Raguelmon. Playing it for 12 to instantly go into Ordinemon can swing the game
Honestly I hope the Legend Arms gets cards with more viable effect like draw 1 when digivolving or something like that specifically because legend arms at its peak can be so good and has so much potential in competitive play if they just put it down right

Im gonna be trying somethin with it once bt14 and the loogamon support hits because its a near perfect mesh in theory
BT14 has synergy in the form of the Loogamon line with them being dark animals
Lots of people play Ragnaloardmon, it's just nobody wants to play Legend-Arms. You're probably better off playing a Beelzemon deck if you're going to be relying on high rolling top deck.
Me playing the rouge ragna deck at store championships and scarring a few opponents when I ragnad by turn 2 with effect protection and security option protection hehe no one expects the spanish inquisition

You have to play really smart and make not even minor mistake to win with ragna 😅 i think you often loose tempo and gets crushed by better decks .

I find Ragna pretty fun but it’s definitely a more fun deck especially where I am as my locals likes to use top tier deck way too much.
It’s a great deck to make on a budget. Just two of the structure and some of the older cards since the older ragna cards are extremely cheap.
