This deck makes me think that this was a beta test for the new Omnimon deck in EX4. Hopefully the new promo helps the deck and we get more support later on!
@@digidecks the new Shadramon promo that should be coming in BT14 as a box topper. It was discussed in the video. That Shadramon comes in a box topper pack that contains cards that were created as per a survey that asked players for decks that needed support.
I absolutely love this deck. Tried many ways to make it work with the new meta, its just really difficult. When the alter s deck came out I was so upset. What this deck has been CRAVING was given to a greymon deck. 😪 I'll just wait for the new shadramon.
Just for future audio, is there a way for you to make it mono or adjust your recording? It can be nauseating listening to your videos because your voice moves around the microphone (and our headphones). In this one, you sounded to the right of the mic for most of it. Love the content, this would help a lot!
As someone messing around with an armor rush deck ive seen a lot of these guys when looking up the greenblue counterparts, always kinda wondered how effective they were. I do play a few red veemons in the rush since they all digivolve over veemon anyway
This deck is so cool to me. I was so excited to play it when ex03 came out. After I got absolutely annihilated for about 4 weeks at locals trying different things to help speed up the combo; I dropped it so fast.
Love this series. I wanted this deck to be good so badly. It just fell so flat. It think another dedicated round of support alongside that promo might be enough to fix its weaknesses.
I think what the deck needs is a dedicated tamer like the Matt and Tai or Susie and Henry. A red/purple Davis and Ken that is either a setter or gains memory some way. As well has a suspend effect that either reduces the cost of the combo or sets you up for it. I like the idea of an: End of attack/After one your digimon attacks you may suspend this tamer to delete a level 6 or higher digimon under your control to gain 3 memory. It would give a way to reset the combo for 2 more checks or game and your opponent would usually end up with like 6 memory if you brick to balance it out. 🤷♂️

A simple way would just be to add a card that let's Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode activate it's [When Digivolving] effect again, likely in the form of an Option. You can even make it a more generic Option like "Activate the [When Digivolving] effect of one of your Digimon" and balance it by making it both Red and Purple.
I think what truly hurt this deck, was "Call from Darkness" going to 1 before it hit the US. I vividly remember watching JP videos of Virus Imperial with call at 4, that allowed for much more consistent generation of the stacks, Especially when coupled with Analog Youth

I also frequently play Examon and could write a novel that on what I think it needs. Namely, the following: 1. Dracomon should be able to draw itself on search. The fact that it can't seems like it could only be an oversight. According to translation and lore aspects, it is a pure blooded, little Dramon type Digimon. Look, to illustrate my point: [ドラモン] Dramon [ドラコモン] Dracomon, which just adds the character コ for child... Insert THEY'RE THE SAME PICTURE If you've ever played against me during locals, you've heard me go on this tangent at least once 😂 2. The deck has a grand total of 8 level 5s that play at full synergy. It's also a DNA deck, so jot that down as only 4 per color. This deck is craving more Wingdramon and Groundramon that both have [Your Turn] [Examon] in your hand can treat this Digimon as level 6 for DNA digivolution. and [End of Your Turn] This Digimon and 1 of your other Digimon with [Dramon] in its name may DNA digivolve into a Digimon card in your hand by paying its DNA digivolve cost. perhaps with different inheritables to mix it up a bit. In any case, there is no universe in which 8 is an acceptable maximum for level 5s, ESPECIALLY in a DNA deck where they are this important. With every other option lacking warp, you basically have to accept that other level 5s you tech in will be a hinderance. 3. This deck features two versions of an All Turns DP inheritable. All Turns boosts aren't super prevalent, but in the case of Examon, it helps you gain additional DP needed to block or swing. The ones it currently has are situational, one being when unsuspending, and one being when suspending. The first of which doesn't help you when attempting to, for instance, eat a Quartzmon, and neither will save you from DP reduction due to being pending. Anyway, it would be nice to have something more consistent. 4. Evade not being as good in practice as it is on paper. 5. Just spitballing here, but the actual body of Examon isn't that powerful. It gets most of its effects through inheritables. At times, there are situations where you need to go into your Examon before you have an appropriate tuckable source in your hand. What if there were a "Dragon's Pride" (name in construction) option card that allowed you to search for and draw a blue and/or a green card with Dragon in its traits, with a delay effect that allowed you to [add a card in your hand with Dragon in its traits under one of your Digimon with Dramon in its name as its bottom Digivolution card]? You could: a. Set up Wingdra/Groundra to be Kaiser Nail/Tidal Wave'd out b. Add another Dracomon to gain an additional +1000 DP c. Regain inheritables when facing decks that are source stripping. Anyway Bandai call me lol
The cards I have buffing this deck are BT1 Tai and BT8 Fire Rocket, the latter of which costs only 1 memory. This makes it so that your Fighter Mode ends up tearing through the whole security stack in one turn.
I actually ended up having a lot of success with the RP imperial deck. Most people play it incorrectly, trying to fill up the trash as much as possible like most other purple decks. I can’t wait for the new shadramon promo to help out the deck even more. Only other thing I would’ve liked for the deck would be a tamer of some sort, but honestly it isn’t necessary. I won my locals 2 weeks in a row before retiring the deck. I’ll be excited to bring it back with the new promo!
@@CojonesMuchoGrande my strategy was to try and see the combo as much as possible. As such, I ran the purple tsunomon egg. When trashing something from hand, draw 1. I had two different deck profiles depending on my extra lvl 3/4. One strategy was using ST6 gabumon paired with BT10 quetzalmon. Gabumon gets you 2 draws and 1 trash everytime you attack thanks to the egg, and quetzalmon was a free type (searchable and trashable from veemon) that also gave your gabumon armour purge so you could attack freely to get those draws/trash. A different variation of the deck ran labramon as the lvl 3 and then 2 ST6 devimon and 2 bt4 agunimon. If you had a wormmon in raising and a BT1 tai on board, you could do the combo with this strategy. Tai starts you at 3, wormmon moves out and evos into devimon for 1, hybrid over tai for 2. You're now ready to double jogress into imperial while keeping it your turn. Both strategies were quite effective. Each strategy won me one week, however I do believe the first one was more consistent and my preferred version. It's main issue was that quetzal was purple, so your lvl 4's required a flamedramon to be seen. With the new shadramon coming out being dual coloured, this should hopefully not be as much of an issue. I also tried running purple red growlmon but it was far too expensive in terms of memory to be that useful. I also run Blue green imperial with a quartzmon top end and bukamon egg. It has consistently won my locals and last week beat mirage gaogamon, metal garurumon, sukamon/etemon, and a few other meta decks.
What the deck needs is a Tamer. Digimon Emperor R/P 4 Memory (This card is considered to have Ken Ichijoji in its name.) [Start of Your Turn] If you have 2 memory or less, set your memory to 3. [Your Turn] When your Red or Purple Free Type Digimon would digivolve, you may suspend this Tamer and discard one card, to gain one memory. If the digivolving Digimon is both Red and Purple, draw a card. [Security] Play this card without paying its memory cost.
Hope a deck profile with blueflare and twilight with the knightmon can be here soon, the greyknightsmon looks interesting or is better the pure blue flare?
I feel attacked. But seriously, I do like cracking this out, but it is definitely too slow/high roll to compete. If I get everything, perfect. If not, then I sit there and do nothing all game. I'm hoping the new Shadra promo really helps this deck. I would also love to be able to digivolve into Imperialdramon from the trash, too.
Unrelated but how about trying a Grandis profile using the bt12 imperils support since they’re related to grankuwagakon and I saw someone try out the idea
I tried to get this deck to work but something always failed me either I didn’t get the specific pieces or I got rushed before I could pull of the plays I intended. Alter-S from EX4 is just a better version of this deck.

i wanted to build this deck so badly but for some reason the Fighter mode still is 20 bucks! Alter-S is cheaper AND better FFS! Still while i was THIS close to building Alter-S instead i chose against it... I think this deck just is way prettier. i STILL want to build this deck goddammit!
Any thoughts on teching in a Red/Purple Fighter Mode into Blue/Green Imperialdramon deck? Like drop it on top of the blue/green dragon mode and then Kimeramon for five colors? Maybe just for fun lol
It irritates me this deck flopped so hard since the basis for a good deck is there, it just takes too long to pick up steam and getting what you want in trash is very inconsistent. While the new shadramon is a nice touch, what the deck needs is tamer support and another rookie that can help recur Imperialdramons from trash. It really didnt help that calling from the darkness was limited to one since Fighter Mode seems to have been made explicitly with that card in mind.
No one plays this decks because no one knows how to play it. Yeah, it's inconsistent due to the lack of support in de deck, but I've beaten meta decks with it and OTK BWG 2-0 literally in just 2 turns. The deck has the game to win it, pple just don't know how to play it, that's it.

The fighter mode effect is kinda sad with the 1 turn effect. But the cards sure are pretty (Veemon holding tcg cards is awesome)

I would suggest the Ghost Game series decks (Gammamon, Angoramon, Jellymon)

I play a variation of this deck using the blue and green imperialdramon as the megas. It's very strong if played the right way.
