god this makes me feel SO BAD about how mean I was to my mom before I left for uni. It wasn't even aggressive, she just was gonna miss me so bad and I was ready to leave months before it happened. thanks for making me cry this early in the day
This video is beautiful in so many levels. Sometimes we are so harsh on our parents, and we don't even realize. Thank you so much for this sensible work of art.
apart from that one unnecessary comment about no one watching your video, it looks like everyone else here (me included) is very supportive of your work! so glad I subscribed! it must have taken quite alot of effort and time to draw, edit, add the voiceovers (i think thats how it works? idk) and i appreciate that very much! this vid made me cry thinking about my mom and missing her homecooked food while i am here in canada unable to return from all the travel restrictions! keep it going! can't wait for your next videoooooo
This video is extremely powerful. I am a single parent. my son who recently moved out and just told me he's going to travel for a year and I'm completely wrecked. This animation is a perfect depiction of what I'm going through as a parent experiencing a profound sense of loss.
This is exactly you how it feels - and just a call to feel needed now and again is so healing . It is an adjustment we know we have to make - it’s just a very big and very hard one
I live with my family for God's sake But this is still make me crying. Make me imagining if someday I have to live faraway from them. . Thank you for your hardwork to making this. This is so heartwarming and inspiring!
Hit me in the guts watching this. But mine is reverse. I'm so afraid of losing her because she sacrificed so much for us, and I can never repay her enough in this lifetime. Sometimes I wonder if it's my anxiety or others think the same too. Say, could you do one about filial piety? Could be a nice follow up to this series.
ahhhh but how do we help our parents deal with it? I've been trying to figure out how to prepare my parents for this because I don't want them to feel lonely...
Awww you are so sweet . I am a parent that misses her daughter - I would like to offer you a suggestion . Call them up, tell them how much you love them and reassure them you will always be a part of their life and that you’ll always need them to be a part of your life. For me this has helped so much - we want our kids to have a full life we really do, we just miss you 😘
Most of us will have experienced both sides of this equation by the time we are old. Funny thing is I never understood my parents side until I was the parent and my child left.
I think you're misunderstanding the message, alot of parents deal with the sense of loss when their child leaves them, and aren't sure if their child still needs them or thinks about them and feel alone in this struggle . But here it shows that its not uncommon to feel that way, and that despite your child being far away from you doesn't mean they care or cherish you any less.
Thank you so much for watching our videos! If you like our content and hope to see more, please subscribe!! It would help us alot 😊

It's okay! Our capacity for empathy is changes as we grow up, hope you made up with your mom and that all is well ☺️

Thank you for the kind message, hope you called your mom after! And thank you for the support!!
This is so true. I am the only son so when I moved abroad mum and dad felt the vacuum. Our parents shelter us so much indeed.
This really hits different. Thank you for the touching story!!

Accurate. I started asking my mum for all the recipes the moment I left Singapore :P
Food is the best reminder of home ♥️
❤️❤️ good film with similar concept as the short film Bao. keep up with the great work and explore the hidden feelings of our parents!
Omg, this reminded me when I left for exchange to Canada. It was so far away and expensive for my family to travel. But glad I'm back home now! 💕
Love the animations & story! Thank you for bringing us content that me & most singaporeans can relate to!☺

great content and a great way to casually remind all of us to call our moms :D
Omg this video made me cry irl
Really beautiful animation that don't need explanation to understand the meaning behind it
Awww
Keep up the good work ^^
Mine is reverse. My mom is the one leaving to marry the man she loves. I wonder if there’s anyone there experiencing it
now I wish I can be forever taken care of by my mum.
Bigger issues than mine
Look if you have to publicly humiliation people to offer help you got bigger issues
