I love it when these guys collaborate-they look like they’re just having fun. Chris Chatham and Jeffrey East joined Tim and Austin for “What’s It to You” performed in Austin’s garage (this is Austin’s porch which he built himself) and can be found on Austin’s TH-cam channel. And, Chris Marion is Tim’s brother-in-law.
The same day that this was recorded, Austin also did an incredible version of Signed Sealed Delivered with Chris Chatham, Sebi Douyon and Jenika Marion (Tim's wife). And if you like it simple, check out the third recording from that day, Austin singing Neon Moon with Chris and Sebi. It's heartbreaking.
100% agree. Also Chris performs with Austin on Change the World. Another song with Chris in it plus Jeffery East, Tim & Austin is What's It To You -also on Austin's channel!
If I remember correctly, Chris Chatam and Tim Foust were in an acapella group, The Alley Cats, together and have remained close friends. Chris plays guitar in Home Free's "So Long Dixie" cowritten by himself and Tim.
You're so right. Simple is the best. These artists blow my mind. I LOVE that bass guitar too. What a bottom feeling! Just having fun in the backyard. That's all. LOL I feel like you do about this, and this song has always been a favorite too. Thanks!
If you'd really like to come to a Tim Foust and Friends backyard bash, Kristi Stanovich has already had a few and is in the works of hosting one this year again in western PA. We'd love to see you there! We can get more info to you when things are finalized with Tim and a date is set! Loved your reaction, btw! And I know from experience, they are awesome live in a backyard, haha!
Yes please attend Nick! We love your reactions to them. This year will be my 5th bash with Tim and Friends. Shannon is my bestie above. You will get to see the guitarist Chris Chatham whom is also from PA, out by Pittsburgh (Aspinwall)....we def need to make this happen!!!❤
Your reactions make me laugh (in a good why). I find myself smiling at exactly the same times you are smiling and, like you, love the stripped down versions. It just looks like so damned much fun.
What a wonderful reaction! I’m with ‘ya, this is one of my favorites! Just a feel good song and I love when Austin and Tim reverse rolls vocally. Thanks Nick! #TimFoust #AustinBrown
I love this video - the man in the baseball cap (Chris Marion) is Tim's brother-in-law. The back deck is at Austin's house (he built it). Tim & Austin also sing "What's It To You" & a terrific version of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" (with Jenika Marion Foust). Austin's most recent original "I'll Go First" is wonderful (all of these are on Austin's channel).
BTW, Chris Chatham is also one of Tim & Austin's side project "Sweet & Low Music Co." & Tim's "Alley Cats". He's also with them & the others who do fund raising for at-risk veterans. These are busy guys . . .
Sebastian (keyboard) is Austin's long time friend and accompanist for many of Austin's solo songs. Chris (guitar) is Tim's long time friend, and Chris Marion (bass guitar) is Tim's brother in law.
I actually remember the original of "My Maria" by B. W. Stevenson in 1973. Always loved this song. I was not familiar with the Brooks & Dunn version. I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home?
It’s so good isn’t it?! Chris Chatham (on guitar) is a good friend of Tim’s, they go way back. Chris Marion on bass is Tim’s brother in law. Sebastien Duyon is a friend of Austin’s and they collaborate a lot too. Austin and Tim also formed a band called Sweet & Low that they tour with when HF is on hiatus. There’s a good song they do with Jeffrey East called What’s It To You. Chris plays mandolin. Also Chris plays guitar in So Long Dixie with HF. Good one Nick….love it too!!!😍😄
I know people will tell me to "Hush your [my] mouth", but I feel like this is better than the original... Just saying... Anyway, really enjoy your reactions!
Imaging sitting in the car with this song .......driving the Route 66 in the sunset..............awwww. Thank you for reacting Nick and I totally agree with everything you said.
Chris Chatham, tenor and guitar; Chris Marion, bass; Sebastian Douyon (spelling?), keyboard. I love this backyard bonanza! What fun to hear Austin take the lower range, and Tim (and Chris) holding up the highs. If you like to see Tim and Chris together, prior to Home Free, watch the YT video, "Tim Foust Live @ USO Warriors on Wheels Car Show". Don't know if it's heavily copyrighted, but you can watch it! I love that early Tim singing "You're So Yesterday"! This was another great reaction, Nick. Thanks for sharing!
Love your smile all the way through this Nick! Can’t hide the enjoyment on your face! 😁😁 it’s a fantastic collab & such a great video just watching them jamming together.
New subscriber. Great reaction to one of my favorite songs by two of my favorite singers. I love how Home Free includes their good friends in so many videos. Sebastion works with Austin a lot. Chris was in an acapella group with Tim years ago and Chris Marion is Tim's brother in law. Just saw Home Free live and they are the real deal. Now, to power watch your other Home Free reactions!! Thanks!
When simple and complex combine this is what you get. Powerful and fun at the same time. Tim's vocal range is improving with every song he sings. Austin is an alien - lol. Love the rest of the musicians who add a real punch to the song.
I really love this cover! The original is great too! Austin and Tim have so much fun with it and Tim doing the high part is just phenomenal. Chris Chatham is a wiz on the guitar along with Chris Marion(Tim’s brother-in-law), and Sebastian plays great keyboards! Both Chatham and Sebastian have accompanied them on other songs, Sebastian mainly on Austin’s solo videos! Love your reactions Nick!❤
I love Home Free the individuals and what I really appreciate (besides the music) is that they share the spotlight and if there is any envy or discord it is not apparent. Their videos are always entertaining, well, I am a huge fan. Got to see a live performance once, included in their show was each one showcasing his talents, best concert I have ever been to!
It's a good one. A couple of the BIG HomeFree songs you haven't covered yet: Hillbilly Bone - party song I Can't Outrun You - so sad My Church - not about church Mayday - their best current cover? Seven Bridges Road - one old w Chris Brother - fun video
I strongly recommend taking a listen to Tim Foust doing 'thunder rolls' being backed up by Chris on guitar and backup vocals. It was a song request that marcia g posted on youtube for other fans to enjoy.
Sweet & Low Music Co (mpany) ... Several have taken advantage of having them in their own backyard!!! Awesome no matter how ya try to split it all ... and yes Chatham is pretty damn good with that string thing ... then again, Tim's brother-in-law Chris does pretty damn chill on that epic bass... Sebi poundin' on the keys like he knows how to do it .... Yep, that is That Bunch! Be Safe
Lets see-- Austin, Tim, who's doing the high part? Well of course it's gonna be--- Tim??? 🤣 We've heard before what happens when Austin tries to sing Tim's part. He doesn't get any lower but he does get coughing fits and says it hurts. Seems a bit unfair that Tim so handily sing's Austin's parts.
The original by BW Stevenson, the cover by Brooks & Dunn, and this cover are all pretty similar. They're all great, but honestly I might have to choose this version. Bit of a negative for not recognizing BW Stevenson as the original artist.
These guys are great. You should try Tim singing the song Misty Mountains from The Hobbit with Peter Hollens. Hits some deep notes. Also try Home Free version of Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash with Avi Kaplan. Choice
I love it when these guys collaborate-they look like they’re just having fun. 😆 Was just about to suggest the same thing Carol! 💯 agree!
Great minds think alike!!! A must listen to song!❤❤❤❤
#AUSTINBROWN #TIMFOUST so talented!
Chris Chatham is a singer, songwriter who has been a friend of Tim for decades. He cowrote with Tim on So long Dixie.

Also written by Austin & Adam Wakefield(Texas Hill)!
This is the best cover of this song that I've heard. They are so good together. I loved how Tim fanned the guitar because Chris was burning it up! lol
Oh! And the vocal only of Tim accompanied by a piano singing "I can't help falling in love with you" !!!
BTW it's Tim playing the piano on that recording - one of my favorites! He dedicated that to his grandmother - her favorite song.
💯💯❤️
You're so right. Simple is the best. These artists blow my mind. I LOVE that bass guitar too. What a bottom feeling! Just having fun in the backyard. That's all. LOL I feel like you do about this, and this song has always been a favorite too. Thanks!
My suggestions? Austin Brown singing Etta James "At Last" and any song from Tim on his Doo Wop album 'Pieces of Me'
I enjoyed your reaction, the face says it all. Thank you to Laurie also for sharing your pick with all of us.
Glad you enjoyed it. Laurie is awesome!
Nick, you really enjoyed this. Your face lit up like the red gumdrop on top of a Michigan State Police cop car while you watched their performance.

I always it’s amazing to hear a basso profundo sing tenor. 😊
It really is!

Love this. Austin Brown’s dad lives in my hometown. Home Free performs here on occasion.
Just good friends singing in the garden and sounding fantastic. Wonderful 💕🇬🇧

One of the best songs with them. I love it because I never thought I'd be able to sing in the same key as Tim Foust!
If you love this!! Listen to their version of What’s it to You! One of my favourites!!
Every cover song that Home Free has done sounds wonderful. They are the best.
I love listening to Tim's high singing and then at the end you hear his speaking voice which is so much lower.
This is my absolute favorite country song of all time, and these guys SLAYED it!!! This collaboration and your reaction to it has made my day!!!
I know people will tell me to "Hush your [my] mouth", but I feel like this is better than the original... Just saying...
Anyway, really enjoy your reactions!

Oh yes, bring on the Americana

Couldn't have been more fun. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tim and Austin and some friends are Sweet & Low Music Co. Just a get together to jam! Check out their videos 😊
You can't.hear most of what they did because it was highly expensive membership only. It's now folded.
@@patriciamcl54 did not know they folded. I did know that the first 30 minutes were free for everyone, and the rest for patrons.
I love love love this - they are all amazing - I could listen to this forever!!!! ❤❤❤
Must be fantastic! Just like that... Back Yard Singing... Such ease... Totally Amazing..! 💙💙💙💙💙🦩

Let's not forget Chris. A bit more of a trio
Dancing to this whole you were still a glimmer in your daddy's ee. Thanls Nick
“Shoutout to the cicadas in the background.” Love it!
Hey Chris and Sebastion!!
I strongly recommend taking a listen to Tim Foust doing 'thunder rolls' being backed up by Chris on guitar and backup vocals. It was a song request that marcia g posted on youtube for other fans to enjoy.
They always collaborate with other great vocalists.
Thanks Nick! 🖤🍟
Brooks and Dunn song, they are the best country duo in the world
That was a great reaction!! Thanks
Goosebumps!!!
There's lots of videos of them in people's backyards lol
Nick, I'll keep putting it after each Home Free video, please react to I can't outrun you.
Sweet & Low Music Co (mpany) ... Several have taken advantage of having them in their own backyard!!! You can't have a duet with FIVE PERSONS, Three part Harmony & such great tight talents ?! Right??? GBjj
canou will sometimes hear Tim or one of the others band members mention that Chris Chatham is the sixth member of the band.
Lets see-- Austin, Tim, who's doing the high part? Well of course it's gonna be--- Tim??? 🤣
We've heard before what happens when Austin tries to sing Tim's part. He doesn't get any lower but he does get coughing fits and says it hurts. Seems a bit unfair that Tim so handily sing's Austin's parts.
They are "Jus Havin Fun" !!
Because of COVID they had to hustle because touring provided personal incomes for the guys - per Austin✌️
Yep, that! My backyard is always open, just sayin'...
The original by BW Stevenson, the cover by Brooks & Dunn, and this cover are all pretty similar. They're all great, but honestly I might have to choose this version. Bit of a negative for not recognizing BW Stevenson as the original artist.
that guy on the guitar is the original artist who sang it
No, the original is definitely not by the hand of Chris Chatham.
These guys are great. You should try Tim singing the song Misty Mountains from The Hobbit with Peter Hollens. Hits some deep notes. Also try Home Free version of Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash with Avi Kaplan. Choice
Great rxn as usual man
Glad you enjoyed it Sam!
You are wrong,,as good as they are, they cannot beat Lucy and Martha Thomas singing,, The Prayer..
Do you feel better now?
