Julia the more videos I watch of yours the more and more I am amazed at how varied your talents are. You can just do anything you put your mind to. Thank you for sharing with us. I just love seeing all your ideas.
Sew pretty! I have found that napkins work better for me than paper toweling, they don't "shred". I embroider literally hundreds of towels for my shops, and wetting and squeezing out the napkin, laying over the WSS and steaming works wonders!
Hi Julia Thanks so much for your video - I have Inktense pencils and Procreate and haven't used either but you have inspired me to have a go at using both with freeform embroidery on my sewing machine. Love what you did to make your beautiful cushion!
Good Evening Julia, Thank you for showing the procreate and how simple it is to use. I have the pencil for a few months and I haven’t taken the time to play with it, I really appreciate all the projects you make❣️ I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, 🥰 Chris
Not sure if it’s been mentioned already but you can print directly onto Solvy. There r different types so make sure you have the correct one but the Solvy by Sulky can be printed on. I use painter’s tape to stabilize it onto a regular sheet of printer paper and run it thru my printer that way.
Thank you so much for showing this simple method. I was struggling with Procreate and it’s complexity. You have helped me achieve something so useful in my sewing.
Amazing job Julia! I love how you traced in Procreate! I have had that app for a long time, but never thought to trace anything! Your pillow is gorgeous! ♥♥ Deb
Thanks for including the tips about Procreate. I have that program and had never used it to trace out a photo before - will be trying it for sure. I also learned about using the gel to activate your pencils - very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Wow ! That is beautiful. Have never felt the need to use Procreate but this video has made me realise I am missing a trick for my hand / machine embroidery or many other techniques. Recently started practicing with Inktense pencils and loving the effect on fabric. Many thanks for sharing xx
Hi Chris, You will have to give Procreate a try. There are so many things you can do with it. TH-cam videos have really helped me get started. I'm glad you are enjoying the Inktense. I could color all day lol!
Did not know Derwent Inktense was permanent when heat set, thanks. Have had the same set (72) for years! Will look into Procreate, looks a bit like Adobe products, and the Cricut design space.
HI, I think Procreate is similar to Adobe. Both are good programs and have lots of features. The Derwent Inktense are so much fun. I really love adding color to fabric with them. I've had good luck with washing. Thanks for watching, Julia
That line and wash watercolor fabric and your taste are wonderful. What is the fabric name? Manufacturer? Where did you get it? Thanks for your great video. Tip: Retayne (Dharma Trading Co.) color set will banish doubts about color fading. Just soak fabric for 20 minutes in 1 gallon water plus 1 cap Retayne. One bottle lasts for years. It is good to have in the laundry room for colors that might run like a red blouse.
Thank you so much for the tip on the Retayne. I’m going to try this! In this project I am using a 100% cotton canvas in a 10 ounce weight. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
I haven’t played with my inktense pencils in awhile. I checked the price of procreate, $12.99. Once I get a pencil for my iPad I will get it! 🎉thank you!
Hi, I have never used regular watercolor pencils but I have used regular watercolor paints on fabric with great results. I usually use fabric medium instead of water. Heat setting with an iron helps make it colorfast. I’ve had good luck with washing. Give watercolor pencils a try!
The pillow is for my personal use. This technique can be used for one of your own photos ( possible take a photo of one of your flowers in your garden or even a pet)

Love this, Julia! Thank you for the Procreate tips and the idea of using the aloe vera gel to activate the inktense pencils! You rock! 😃
HI Cat, So glad you enjoyed the video. Procreate is so above me but I've managed a few techniques- lol! Have a great day, Julia
I have it, but it’s above me, too! 😬 I’ll tackle it one day… Thanks, you have a great day, too! 😊
Sew pretty! I have found that napkins work better for me than paper toweling, they don't "shred". I embroider literally hundreds of towels for my shops, and wetting and squeezing out the napkin, laying over the WSS and steaming works wonders!

This turned out great! Love the pattern and colors. Enjoy the weather! I thought heard singing birds in the background?
HI Robin, The birds are so loud in AZ and chatter back and forth. Its been cool here but we are out of the snow and ice! Have a great day, Julia

Hi, Thanks for checking on the price of Procreate and sharing. It is a great program for the money.
I love this🥰
Can I use regular water color pencils for this?

Fabulous. Thank you 😊
Love the bike design. It would’ve been perfect with a French person on the bike!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you
Beautiful ❤
Like it😊
Just curious. Is this a violation of any copyright laws?
The pillow is for my personal use. This technique can be used for one of your own photos ( possible take a photo of one of your flowers in your garden or even a pet)
CAN YOU SEND ME A LINK TO THE FOOT YOU ARE USING
Hi, Here is a link to the foot I am using. I have a Janome sewing machine that has a low shank. Thanks so much for watching! Julia amzn.to/3y4fCZQ

❤❤
The alo Vera unfortunately makes the ink not permanent 😒. It's great.if your not going to wash it.
Good to know- I've never tested it but will pass it on if anyone asks. Thanks for watching, Julia
Smile Jesus loves you ❣️
