This brings me back. First ever Sonic game I played was on holiday, with the console stuck in a cabinet. Some days it was Donald Duck Quack Attack, others Sonic the Hedgehog. I was hooked. So when I got to be 11 years old, my parents bought me a MegaDrive II for my birthday and Sonic 2 was bundled with it. Chemical Plant Zone blew me away. The gameplay, the multiple paths... but most of all the amazing background music to the two stages. And now here it is, years later, getting an excellent makeover from you. Thank you once again!
I remember renting this game with my siblings and never being able to escape the rising water part in this level. We were at our grand parents house. This music playing the whole time. Never thought I’d hear this song 25 years later and hear it like this

Particularly Spider-Man or Gambit’s stages. Doesn’t matter which. They’re both great pieces of music. 😅
