Awesome Trent!. Cool your camera man came so far to help. He sounded both excited and probably not used to the elevation but he did damn good. You’re the “elk whisperer!”
Yea I’ll have 4 total episodes throughout the month. 2 are successful and 2 show the grind of what is elk hunting. Obviously most people like the successful ones but, oddly, what I hear most is that people want to see the struggle….but that must be a select few 😂
I was the guy camped by the cattle guard that was hunting moose shot one the day before you got there ,nice bull the Wisconsin guys got not sure if his brother got one or not.
small world! I nearly stopped in your camp just to chat. Send me a pic on Facebook if you have it. “Trent Williams Outdoors.” or email at TrentRWilliams1@gmail.com .
@@TrentWilliamsOutdoors1 did you head up for any of the rest of the season I shot my bull up there a few years back. I love it up there man we drew 5 4th rifle cow tags up there this year.
Thanks buddy! I try! I know I’m not the world’s best caller but giving it personality and giving it a little “something” that I think it all makes it more realistic.
That my friend was the real deal. So neat to see your set up and how you are working an area. Kudos to the camera guy for doing such a great job! Excellent work!
I'll enjoy following. I have videos of my own as well (just don't have a camera man! LOL). Can't go this year, but my wife and I will be drawing next year! :) I got a great video of my solo hunt last year with my GoPro MAX taking my 4th 5x5 bull in 5 years of hunting! Wish I was introduced to hunting years ago. I'm 49 this year.
I usually don’t either! Most of my stuff is pretty rudimentary, I just got lucky with Victor wanting to get introduced to mountain hunting. I’ll check your stuff out!!
It’s called the “Frankenstud sling keeper”. It’s money for keeping your rifle sling in a perfect location so it won’t slide off your shoulder, but as you saw, it also works great for keeping your tube string from digging into your neck! Just Google it and it will bring up the website to order.
Hey Michael, it’s called a “Frankenstud Sling Keeper.” If you Google that, it’ll pull up the website! It’s for a rifle sling but obviously works great for bugle strings!
Cameraman needs a boom mic or lavalier mic. I used to to ruin a lot of my videos cause if heavy breathing too and having those mic options as a tool really helped me hide my heavy breathing and get better sound.
Hey at least he kept going and didn’t hear a single complain! May be a tad out of shape but I’m sure he made great memories and got some awesome footage!!
@@slomoengineguy5547 Very good! There’s a few more episodes from this hunt but the muzzle loader tag had mixed results last year from the guys I talked to. A couple guys got in on bulls, and others said there was no bugling so who knows. Good luck!
Oh look, a normal handful of days elk hunting............walk into elk, jump elk, see nothing, jump elk, hear some bugles, blow the herd out, screwed by the wind, see nothing, wonder why the hell I do this, see nothing and hear nothing............I must be the worst elk hunter, jump more elk, walked 47 miles in 3 days.............but we wouldn't change it fer nothin! I’m sure I’d have been the same way. Good stuff man, is there an episode 2 cause I could have sworn you were successful on this hunt?

10 points on a 6 point unit we use to draw there every other year!
Yep! I could’ve drawn it basically since I started applying. It crept with me, as I accumulated points.

Great video! The struggle is REAL!
Yes it is!
Great video, archery elk isn't easy. Video shows reality of it, thanks for sharing.
I appreciate you watching and commenting! I’m glad the video portrays how tough it is! Thank you!
Love listening to you calling man... you dont just call... you interact and guve the noise personality! Great job friend 👍😎👍

Great video, loved it! Looking forward to next Wednesday!

Great video! Its almost time to chase them again!!!
Getting real close!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Great video my friend!
Thanks pal!
And I’m definitely serious about wanting to hunt with you, don’t need to harvest anything but meat, even if it’s a mountain chicken
Tell Victor not to worry about being out of breath! I was 10 minutes into the video before I realized it wasn't me!!! 😂😂
HAHAHA! That’s the best! I’ll pass it onto him!

Do have to ask, WTF is the spindle on your right shoulder for??? Just to keep the string from your call off your neck or something else??
It’s called a “Frankenstud sling keeper”. it’s to keep your rifle sling in place but works great for bugle tube string too!
Where did you get that thing on the shoulder pad that deflects the bugle tube string?
