Bulls and Bullsh*t | Montana Elk Hunting
Chasing bugling bulls on Montana public land. I went mostly as caller, helper, cameraman, but did hold a tag myself. Preston and I have a ton of fun and find ourselves close to elk along the way!

GOLD RUSH | Fishing Golden Trout in the Wind Rivers of Wyoming
มุมมอง 5764 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fishing for Golden Trout in Wyoming’s Wind River Range. It’s been on my “bucket list” for a long time to make a trip for Golden Trout. We finally realized that you just have to make those trips happen. There’s never enough time. Something else is always more important. All of that is true, but when a camping trip brought us close enough to be able to make a day trip for Golden’s happen, we went...
FISHING Lake Powell Striped Bass | EARLY SPRING
มุมมอง 3.9K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fishing for stripers at Lake Powell has become one of our favorite things to do as a family....and now adding one more to the mix! In year's past, we have camped but we weren't willing to take that kind of risk with an 8 month old, and it's a good thing we didn't as the weather didn't cooperate. We will still able to fill the live wells with the fish taco basics! Enjoy! Buying a hat is equivale...
Fly Fishing the GREEN RIVER with THE PROS

Fly Fishing the Green River with a couple of pros! Dan was my middle school science teacher about 20 years ago. Back in those days, I was also able to take an elective class Dan offered which was "Fly Tying". I took the class and even built a fly tying table in woods class. But, besides losing a few flies on the river and catching a couple small cutthroat in mountain streams, fly fishing is som...

Too much laughing and games
Oh…I’m sorry. I forgot we weren’t supposed to have fun while hunting!!
Dang, hope I can get a pair. I am 6’ 3” and deffinetlg uptight. 😂
😂😂😂
Definitely time to budget for a phone scope, ha
Got it nowadays ;)
Oh my gosh the random coughing fit is so on point. I remember sitting on a game trail on a calm day and I'm holding in a cough until there's tears in my eyes desperately trying to open my water for a drink.
HAHAHA! Glad you could relate…well glad it was relatable I guess. Sorry it happens to you too 😂😂
Where is this?
Somehwere in or around…your mom’s house.
Great job tracking and staying with it. Really great bull . Don’t beat yourself up it’s learning experiences and you came out successful this time. If a hunter says that they never made any mistakes they haven’t hunted very long. I have made mistakes like that right when I made a shot knowing I shouldn’t have. Once was on a spike whitetail. I could have easily said it was just a spike but it bothered to the point I had to keep looking and wound up finding him. Great video. Keep it up.👍
Thanks for the kind and positive words David. And you’re absolutely right!
Sweet hunt man. I just moved to Wyoming and I'm excited for tye adventures!
Right on! you’ll enjoy yourself! I’m sure of it!
Some people are not so sold on themself that they that they hunt for the meat and not the one that have to brag about their horns/antlers .Some people are old and enjoy just being out with each other. A small buck taste as good as a large buck. See you settled for a small buck after what you said about passing up something on the first day that you would take on the last day. As my grandmother used to say, make your words so sweet as you never know the ones you will have to eat.....I do love the video. .
Glad you enjoyed the video Lonnie!
You're quite the guide. And a true friend. Congrats to both of you
Thank you Bob. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Trent y'all may not have killed an elk but you are so blessed with a beautiful family even willing to share camp with you.
Lake Powell strippers are a dime a dozen I’ve caught over 50 a day from shore A game warden checked me and asked me to keep them even if I didn’t want them and throw them in the dumpster at fish cleaning stations
gd hunt i would suggest get your self some broad heads man you get blood trail single blades point no good good looking bull
I think the broadheads worked just fine.
Way to stay with it, congratulations and thanks for sharing
I appreciate you watching. Thank you!
Love the content. Good people!
Well one of us at least ;) . Thank you John!
Congrats- I lost a bull 2 years ago in CO after burying an arrow to the nock on a frontal- completely lost all blood after a 1/3rd of a mile- 4 of us spent 2 days gridding and searching- never found him...Still bothers me to this day- I know he died.
Yea that’s a tough one to swallow. It’s just flat out amazing how tough an elk is!
Weather is king, seams like most of my best elk hunts have all revolved around a weather system. Those dates last year when it was raining and snowing where off the charts and when it cleared off they just shut down. Thanks for sharing
My sample size was small, but that sure seemed to be the case!
Baby 🏆. I purchase at Walmart 3 for 5$ containers of Comet. I put a ring of Comet around each tire and don’t come back to Mice 🐁 Chipmunks 🐿️ etc. Found that tidbit of info at a KOA at Jackson Hole
Sweet tip! Thank you!!
Great video! Cannot wait to head out in a week our elk hunt
Seems to be the same kinda bulls and bullshit I encounter elk hunting lol, but as frustrating as it is at the time, it sure as hell beats going to work and you got a buddy to argue with. Good stuff pard, keep puttin the candy out there and we'll keep showin up haha!
I swear the “easy” shots are the easiest to mess up. Looks like you ended up playing it out right, good work.
It all worked out…just good enough!
9th! Only a few more days to go.
We’re really in the final stretch now!
Great videos Trent. Funny as hell. My nephew double lunged and hit the top of the aorta with his bow and the bull went 70 yards and took 15 minutes to die. They are amazing beasts.
Thank you Jeff! They certainly are! They have a high will to live!
Great stuff Trent! Really enjoy your content, down to earth, relatable and not afraid to share the good the bad and the ugly. Best of luck this season.
I appreciate it! Thank you!
Some days are like that and always when you think the elk should take off they dont! OH by the way what that thing on your...lol...just kidding I read the answer 8 videos ago!! Maybe pin an answer to each video description....lmao. Or start selling your own version!! Oregon season start this weekend...lets go
Haha! I think I need to address it in each video 😂
Hopefully this year since I drew a bull tag in 35( wy) I’ll actually have some video clips or pictures of my 1st Wyo bull, I’ve only shot one other and that took me 23 years to draw, ( a 370 net 6x6 in 2007)
Go get em Rob! A 370” 6 point is a giant bull!
@@TrentWilliamsOutdoors1 if I could figure out how to send a picture, I would
@@TrentWilliamsOutdoors1 I am a meat hunter for a mature animal, my big bull was the first bull I had seen in 2 weeks, I actually had a 5 leaf clover laminated and I through it away the day I shot the big bull 😆
I used to be able to use mouth diaphragms for calling, but lost all of my teeth in an IED explosion in Iraq in 09, and it sucks with implants too try and figure out how to call with my phelps tube, nothing worse then sounding like another hunter versus another elk
Phelps has a mouthpiece for the bugle tubes for those that can’t blow diaphragms and also have some open reed cow calls as well as the “EZ Sucker.” if you’re interested check them out. Or send me a message on social media and I’ll help you navigate through it.
Trent I have to ask, what is the spool for on your right shoulder? Just your call string or something else? Also, I just bought an action camera, with all extras stuff….. can you give me any advice for which filming accessory I should use, shoulder, hat ect… I already know from watching all your videos that I first need to turn it On 😁, second need to let it focus if I’m holding it…. But where is it best to film when I’m by myself… which is always…… one last note, keep up the great videos and I see your son has your same laugh, and I’m sure he’ll have your humor and hunting skills as well! Good luck this season! Ret. Seabee Rob
Retired Rob! yes…turning on the camera is the first step! I personally like the head strap more than anything. The chest and shoulder strap shows too much of my hands or the side of my head for my liking. I’ve tried them all and like the head strap! The thing on my shoulder is a “frankenstud sling keeper”. it’s for a rifle sling but works great for bugle sling!
@@TrentWilliamsOutdoors1 awesome, thank for your reply, I’ll be joining your videos with $donation when I get paid on the 1st, probably not on the first, as I’m a wounded warrior in the annual wounded warrior event in Sheridan tomorrow though the 5th, and from my understanding I’ll be busy

I just found you recently... GREAT content...I am sitting here with an infected leg watching you and waiting for whitetail season In Tennessee. And waiting for the antibiotics to kick in!
Get healed up quick Richard! That Tennessee season is coming quick! I’m glad you enjoy the videos!
Love the content! 1 question: What is the round deal you hook your bugle tube cord around to save your neck? I'd love to have one on my backpack.
Thank you! it’s called a “Frankenstud sling keeper”. it’s for a rifle sling but works great for bugle strap!
Looks like a SlingKeeper. I can't recall the specific name that Trent called it in precious vids

WOW! I haven’t used 51 gallons of paint in my lifetime. I saw pictures of the early snow. Goos for elk hunting 😃
If you need a camera man this year in the south east side of the state hit me up and see if I’m free! Nice work
I will keep that in mind! Thank you!
Iron will broad head? Great performance I’d say.
I believe so!
Abowyer Bonehead
Another great hunt!
Thank you!
Congrats Trent and thank you for sharing your hunts! I can only imagine how difficult it is to film these hunts.
I appreciate it Scott…but I’m going to be better this year!
Oh btw, it looks like you’re shirt is on inside out 😂
Lol which time!? you never know with me
And I’m definitely serious about wanting to hunt with you, don’t need to harvest anything but meat, even if it’s a mountain chicken
Do have to ask, WTF is the spindle on your right shoulder for??? Just to keep the string from your call off your neck or something else??
It’s called a “Frankenstud sling keeper”. it’s to keep your rifle sling in place but works great for bugle tube string too!
I see your 11 for county, I’m 16….you’re up north west
Hey Trent, if you send me a hat with your badge on it, I’ll send you one of mine! Seriously….. pm me an address
Around the 26min mark you have a knob attached to your pack. Assume to keep a sling from sliding off? Where’d you get it?
It’s called the “frankenstud Sling Keeper”. it’s for a rifle sling but works great for bugle tube.
Real life, real footage! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching it!
Self filming is not easy. I’m surprised people ever get kill shots while self filming haha cool bull and congrats. Looking forward to your season as always. Almost down to a week till opener 🏹
We’re getting close buddy! Thanks for watching! I’m getting some kill shots on film this year! 😂
Congrats Trent!!!
Thank you!
Cool bull. Way to be persistent and get him!
Thank you!
❤
I think it is very awesome that your wife will come with you! I don’t have a wife, but I never had a girlfriend interested in coming with me, so that in itself is awesome
It makes it much more enjoyable for sure!
Most of the hater’s that comment negatively are the same people who don’t practice shooting, can only hit something at 20 yards or less and constantly either never recover an animal and just wound every animal out there
That’s probably true too!
Honestly, WE ALL HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS, but we all take shots we know we can take, yes frontal isn’t my first choice but, I will take it, if I have a good angle…. Regardless of what others say, my theory is they are on their couch watching , they aren’t out there with us and don’t know the situation or that we are good ethical hunters, they are just haters… nice bull good job, and if you ever need another Wyoming bowhunter to help you pack one out pm me
Yes we do. It’s tough to decipher that in the field! Thank you for watching and take the time to comment!
Congratulations Trent, you definitely earn your elk. Great to see your patience and persistence.
Thank you!
Quite humble and honest! Thanks for being real. Congratulations.
