if so- for very high current another option is that it is the primary winding of a toroidal transformer
it is also the cleanest smithy(workshop) I have ever seen. in such places you can most likely observe old people with dirty hands and greasy overalls

@@danfuerthgillis4483 Nikola Tesla doesn't really have anything to do with toroidal-core transformers. A Tesla coil is a cylindrical, air-cored transformer.
nabzim re-read my post " he helped coil the transformers " which means he operated the coiling machines for the transformers that went into the Niagara Falls power plant . No where did I mentioned "Toroidal Transformers"

Nice machine, one small problem: you still need human operators to do the job. It would be much more productive if the machine just produces the toroids and the human inspects the results. That way, one person can operate multiple winders.
it's just easy fitness for human , the main work is done by this machine.

at how long it takes the "load" the machine...I feel like you could wind the thing by hand and be done quicker. Maybe she was going slower just to show the camera?
I've hand wound inductors on ferrite core toroidal with 18 AWG wire, it's nearly impossible to the winds aa tight and perfect as this machine can trust me
It still requires a lot of manual operations. Therefore it cannot be scaled to high volume. Also winding of small toroids with 0.1mm is far more difficult.
