Great animation. Very well made. Only the machine will have an issue at 1:36 in the video. The tension is lost and the little wire loop will not become nicely positioned on the toroid. The best machines I have seen have two big wheels: one big winding wheel at constant rotation speed and a second spool wheel. The spool wheel is be able to retract wire back onto its-self in part of the winding cycle while it releases wire quickly at another part of the cycle. In other words in part of the cycle the spool wheel rotates backwards w.r.t. the winding wheel, in another part of the cycle the spool wheel rotates forwards with respect to the winding wheel. It requires some clever thought but then it can work very well.

Do you offer the plans and code for this somewhere? I would like to build it. I need to wind small (T29, T30, T37, T50, T67) toroids as well as larger ones. Is that a possibility? Thank you.

Do you sell plans for this machine? I'm interested in buying them if you do. I would love STL files so I can 3d print the parts.

не совсем понятно роль синих конусов - там стоит электромагнит ? и он отпускает проволоку по датчику угла , когда слайдер на 5 часов ?

Hey Alejandro, this animation looks really great. Did somebody ever made a machine based on this 3D model?

Just the video, I think that was a few days, designing the machine, over 1 year, that was the 8th and final design.
