Hi Gary, I really enjoyed your share today! I am a Mancunian and have happily lived in Malaysia for 43 years. I am very very fond of the food out here. I think the PP restaurant you went to today (even I prefer not to say the name as is lol) Anyway what you had was actually an Asian mixture. Laksa is famous in Malaysia, and Singapore. The Pho is Vietnamese and the proper Pho is usually made with beef. The process of making the soup is very time consuming. Beef soup bones are slow boiled for hours! Then spices are put in, then the soup is served up very hot, and on the side are lots of green herbs and very thinly slice raw beef. You then put the side plate of herbs and beef into the big bowl of soup and hey presto you have THE most delicious Pho! The one you had looked very bland. BTW Pho is pronounce ‘Fe’ in Vietnamese. Hi Gary! I'm away for work & should be asleep now, but I wanted to watch your latest review. The food all looked delicious. We are spoilt for excellent Asian cuisine here in Sydney, including Vietnamese & personally, I love it. Beautiful flavours. After watching your video, I'm going to suggest a Vietnamese restaurant to my colleagues, as we have plans for a lunch out tomorrow. In addition to a quality review, your humour is top notch! Probably one of the funniest thumbnails I have seen too. I want to use the image of your face, next to the words "Phuc Noodle Bar" as a banner somewhere! 😅 Take care Gary & CM... Truly a fantastic review & I'm glad it was a lovely meal. 💙💙💙
I hope you all have a fantastic time when you visit, and I also hope you have a lovely night sleep, on top of that please have a wonderful weekend Erin ❤️❤️❤️
That title had me creased 🤣 another top review as always Gary. I wanted to also say thanks - your videos give me and my dad an excuse to both sit down and watch together as we're both fans of your videos!
I'm glad you had a Vietnamese dish for the channel, Gary! I was looking forward to that. My nephew's girlfriend comes from Vietnam, and she's a lovely person who first introduced me to mango sticky rice (now a favorite - over here it's very seasonal and also not cheap, due to the imported type of rice and also the special mangos). She also introduced me to durian, which is less successful for me (and for lots of places - in Asia, it's not uncommon to find it banned in hotels, public transport, etc). I can taste its inherent sweetness, but I am also a supertaster with the sulpher it contains in large quantity, and which is ... less delicious. My mom used to order chicken pho and loved it, but I've always preferred the beef version. Although the broth is still light, I do find it more flavorful. Generally here, you'll get to choose from a number of beef cuts to include with your soup - tendon, brisket, flank, meatballs, etc. They will also almost always present you with an accompanying salad plate of stuff like basil leaves, sometimes mint or cilantro, sliced fresh jalapenos, and beans sprouts. You include those as you prefer. I also frequently find the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha (or a housemade chili sauce) to add as you choose. In Vietnam, it's a very common breakfast dish, according to my niece. Anyhow, I'm glad you had a couple Vietnamese dishes in your pan-Asian feast. It did look very good, and the price was on point!
I think your nephews girlfriend needs to come to the UK Heidi and show me exactly how I should describe this wonderful food, I hope you’re keeping well and please have a wonderful week and a wonderful weekend 🌹❤️
This is just round the corner from me, it's a great place! I'm always ordering there chicken dumplings and prawn laksa and im in danger of becoming a phat phuc 😂 Great video as always ❤
That laksa looked so good. I love a soup in fall and winter that is creamy and spicy; it is just so comforting and this version looked outstanding. Thanks for also showing the BBQ buns; they do not need a lot of filling as long as they are nice and fluffy.
Vietnamese food wow. 🍜 Hahaha the name is hilarious .. you're such a gentleman but it did make me laugh bless you 😂😂 The dishes looked wonderful. Fluffy buns Gorgeous prawns Tasty noodles and unusual looking spring rolls but tasty no doubt . That prawn dish is what I'd love for sure . What a super venue . I love Vietnamese food, but don't get to eat it very often. I am planning a day out where there was a Vietnamese restaurant. I will see if it is still there and treat myself. Thank you Gary. ❤
What a fun and informative review! I confess I was on the fence about you saying the name of the restaurant - "Will he go for the shock/comedy value"? I love your classy way of eluding to the name without missing a beat! The food looked amazing & has inspired me to add Vietnamese food to my list of "must try someday". Great review, appropriate score and once again, thank you for putting a smile on my face!😊❤
I went for a run yesterday but had to go back home after 2 minutes as I'd forgotten something..... I'd forgot I was a fat git and can't run for more than 2 minutes 😂
I started laughing as soon as I saw the restaurant’s name!😂😂😂 We have some fabulous Vietnamese in Sydney (Australia) - from cheap to very expensive. Great food dynamic! Love it!😎😎😎 Well done with another enjoyable Show, dear Gary!🌟🌟🌟
@GaryEats A non-judgemental FYI from Vietnam (Việt Nam). - 'Pho' is written as "Phở" ... and pronounced as "fur" with a slowling rísing inflection (like a 'tell me more' question); - Phở broth is intended to be a base broth for each person to customize to their own taste; - To customize Phở, we add more herbs (typically sauces (chilli, hoi sin, soy, etc); pickled garlic, onions, etc.; fresh mints, basil, speargrass, bean sprouts, etc.); and - 'Bun' were originally brought to Vietnam by Chinese immigrants. Since then, they have adapted to cater to Vietnamese tastes and become their own unique style/type. Love your videos, and thank you for covering a Vietnamese restaurant. The cuisine here is divine!
I really appreciate that, thank you so much for your wonderful comment Shane. As I said, not an expert on Vietnamese food so I'm learning along the way too!
My partner is Vietnamese and makes a great pho. Definitely needs things added to it...bean sprouts, freshly squeezed lemon, mint etc. I would have had the beef pho... probably more taste.
@@GaryEats I came to the comments to say this, beaten by Shane... Love your videos Gary!! The timbering up is a sign you put your art first and anyway winter is coming you need a reserve.
If I may add my 2 cents to the comments above - I'm not the least bit Asian, but pho is probably my favourite dish ever 😋 - I agree that beef pho is much tastier than chicken. Besides, the longer the broth simmers and the more herbs you add to your final bowl of soup, the better. From my experience, it's usually served with hoisin sauce and sriracha which add depth of taste to the final result and which you can modulate to your preference. Gosh, my mouth is watering now, even though I had dinner an hour ago 😅 Great video as always !
Such a great place Gary.... Another great episode my friend... Your insight & definition is what keeps us coming back... Anne-Marie was asking whether they did a Vegetarian dish or two ? Cheers Gary !!!

Most definitely my type of food, I like a bit of spice and coconut. The Pho looked a bit wishy washy. But I will take your word it was good. Nice review as usual, thanks Gary and son 🥰
Good to see you having Vietnamese food (i love it) and it always provides an interesting blend of tastes. Many Vietnamese restaurants here in Australia also specialise in seafood. Great review again and a definate improvement over some of your recent meals
P.P really impressed me Gary. Street food, flavour, cooked to order and value for money . High end celebrity chef restaurants no thanks. This was a winner. Ian
Ho Lee Phuc, Gary. You're adding innuendo and comedic timing to your talented and marvellous food reviews. That was seriously impressive tuck and fully deserving of your high score. I remember an alternative oriental dessert being offered on a joke menu a few years ago now, translating - "Hoo Shat In Fan" as chocolate spread. I'll leave you with that gem and hope we don't get in trouble. 😂😂
Yeah, Gary has definitely upped the comedy factor lately which helps to make reviews a must-see for me! And this is coming from someone who doesn't normally care for food reviews, either.
We go to PP quite alot as I have a teenage daughter who drags her friends along on Saturdays, when we go shopping. it ti the best value you can get in Chelsea when you are paying for 4/5 people at one time. The Queue on Saturdays is binkers!! The Saturday Market in Duke of York Square has some lovely places to eat, but never as satisfying as PP. Love your channel Gary,
For 20 years I worked for the Singapore Air Force and the laksa really reminded me of great buffet lunches in Singapore that always included it. great video and thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Thank you Ryan a bit of fun tonight 😂 please say hello to dad 👍
@@GaryEats I will 🤣
My aged parents would sit and watch cooking shows, ala Julia and Jacques, and that was a nice afternoon for them, so your comment made me smile!
Food looked to die for, and incredible pricing, great Video Gary and cameraman.
I really appreciate that, thank you so much
I'm glad you had a Vietnamese dish for the channel, Gary!
I'm always ordering there chicken dumplings and prawn laksa and im in danger of becoming a phat phuc 😂
Great video as always ❤
Much appreciated, thanks so much
There’s nothing worse than becoming a phat u know what!! I’m one!!
With a name like Le Ton, you are following your passion.
all Phuc's great though some better than others
*their.
Ho Lee Phuc. 🤭
There's a takeaway here in rural Ireland called The Thai Tanic. Does anyone know of any other funny ones near you?
That’s the best I’ve heard of Dazza 🇮🇪
Near me In Lanarkshire, Scotland we've got the Nippy Tung and the Shatin. Both Chinese Restaurants.
There's a chinese down the road from me called Many Ho's.
Used to work with a guy called Willie Wyper😂 no joke😂
😂
That laksa looked so good. I love a soup in fall and winter that is creamy and spicy; it is just so comforting and this version looked outstanding. Thanks for also showing the BBQ buns; they do not need a lot of filling as long as they are nice and fluffy.
Thank you very much as always for your lovely comment. I hope you’re having a wonderful week. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy Buddah- great translation😂😂 looks like a great place. Thank you for another great review
Thanks for watching!!
Been watching you for a couple months. Really enjoy the videos. Greetings from Florida
Thank you very much 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I respect your comment section. You do a really good job you and your community of having actual good conversation. It's cool
It is a fantastic community on the channel
Vietnamese food wow. 🍜
Hahaha the name is hilarious .. you're such a gentleman but it did make me laugh bless you 😂😂
The dishes looked wonderful.
Fluffy buns
Gorgeous prawns
Tasty noodles and unusual looking spring rolls but tasty no doubt .
That prawn dish is what I'd love for sure .
What a super venue . This, our Gary, is an excellent review .
Thank you so much to you and your Son for sharing this with us, just lovely.
Have a super evening sweet x 😊
I really appreciate that, thank you so much Maria. I couldn't swear on TH-cam - I'd get int too much trouble! Can't ask for mum more can you really?
Take care and have an amazing evening! x
@@GaryEats lol Our Gary , I may be wrong , but even if you were allowed to swear on here, I don't think you would, you're too much of a gentleman.
Thank you again and you have a super evening too sweet x 😊
Hello lovely Maria, That was certainly a treat for us. Gary was so entertaining and made me laugh so much, He really is a character. I like you, loved the prawn dish, though they all looked amazing. I too thought it was great value for the quality and especially the location. I wish I had the variety of restaurants to try here, Sadly not. You have a wonderful day pet. Always thinking of you. xx
@@sharoncox4776 Thank you lovely Sharon. I adore our Gary and his sense of humour. This video was brilliant and the food delicious.
What area are you living in sweet? Shame you don't have the variety.
Thank you for your kind words. I really wish for you great health and lots of happiness and love.
Lots of love to you my darling xxx 💖🌹💖
@@butterflydiva1 So lovely to hear from you Maria, I live across the water from you in Northern Ireland, just outside Belfast, I did not realise that we do actually have a few of these restaurants, until I checked - I must visit - though we do not have the same variety of restaurants that you do over in England ( am presuming you live there). I think everyone loves Gary,, He has a great sense of humour and as we say over here great 'Craic'. Have a lovely day pet and weekend. You really are one of the nicest person I have ever come across, Gary is luck to have you as a sub, Take care pet. xxx
I love Vietnamese food, but don't get to eat it very often. I am planning a day out where there was a Vietnamese restaurant. I will see if it is still there and treat myself. Thank you Gary. ❤
Go on give it a go 👍
What a fun and informative review!
I was gonna say it, but I know I would’ve been banned by TH-cam, I’m actually stunned the videos not been taken down ❤️
I went for a run yesterday but had to go back home after 2 minutes as I'd forgotten something.....
I'd forgot I was a fat git and can't run for more than 2 minutes 😂
Haha brilliant Deano, how you doing?
Deno a taxi helps us 'more rotund' souls get to the desired restaurant! Sharing is cheaper though!
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaano! you should do a collaboration
LOL!!! Love someone who can laugh at themself!!!
😂😂😂
I started laughing as soon as I saw the restaurant’s name!😂😂😂 We have some fabulous Vietnamese in Sydney (Australia) - from cheap to very expensive. Great food dynamic! Love it!😎😎😎 Well done with another enjoyable Show, dear Gary!🌟🌟🌟
I’m really pleased you enjoy this one 🇦🇺
always nice to see you work through all this delicious expiriences, more or viewer, perfect moderation through the culinaric street jungles.
Thank you very much
@GaryEats
A non-judgemental FYI from Vietnam (Việt Nam).
- 'Pho' is written as "Phở" ... and pronounced as "fur" with a slowling rísing inflection (like a 'tell me more' question);
- Phở broth is intended to be a base broth for each person to customize to their own taste;
- To customize Phở, we add more herbs (typically sauces (chilli, hoi sin, soy, etc); pickled garlic, onions, etc.; fresh mints, basil, speargrass, bean sprouts, etc.); and
- 'Bun' were originally brought to Vietnam by Chinese immigrants.
And don't say to Gary the meaning of pho pronunciation if saying "fo"😂😂😂😂
Agree with you, it's not the way we eat it in south east asia😊
Gosh, my mouth is watering now, even though I had dinner an hour ago 😅
Great video as always !
Everything looked fantastic mate.As always another fantastic review guys🙌
Thank you very much Ian 👍
Such a great place Gary.... Another great episode my friend... Your insight & definition is what keeps us coming back... Anne-Marie was asking whether they did a Vegetarian dish or two ? Cheers Gary !!!
They certainly do vegetarian dishes
@@GaryEats Have a great weekend Gary... Anyone Let`s Give it a go places ?
Another interesting review. I love the variety. It looked such good value. I wanted to poke those buns through the camera! I see CM got his share when you sploshed the noodles at him 😂❤
That’s great to hear he did get splashed 😂❤️
You never fail to make me smile Gary, never change 🙂
Thank you Rosie ❤️
The Vietnamese lured you with both their unique cuisine and a name like no other - gotta admire their style.
I agree completely
Gary thank you, that has added to my knowledge of asian food, and an excellent review to boot, thank you.
That’s appreciated Colin thank you
When you order a Pho, pronounce it Foe instead of Far. That's what I learnt today.
i only recently was recommended your channel! genuinely enjoy your content and honest reviews, the food here looked amazing. i personally am a big enjoyer of asian cuisine, especially japanese and vietnamese. that laksa with prawns looked exactly like something i would enjoy. thank you so much for your lovely videos, they always bring a little smile on my face, and i send you lots of love from germany! xo
That is such a kind comment thank you very much for watching and subscribing
I can’t get over the portion sizes! really generous. When you think you can spend £11 on a couple of manky fast food burgers.
I agree with you Paul
Great point , Paul
Most definitely my type of food, I like a bit of spice and coconut. The Pho looked a bit wishy washy. But I will take your word it was good. Nice review as usual, thanks Gary and son 🥰
Thank you very much Gail 🌹❤️
Good to see you having Vietnamese food (i love it) and it always provides an interesting blend of tastes. Many Vietnamese restaurants here in Australia also specialise in seafood. Great review again and a definate improvement over some of your recent meals
Thank you very much, Paul. I really enjoyed this one.
P.P really impressed me Gary. Street food, flavour, cooked to order and value for money . High end celebrity chef restaurants no thanks. This was a winner. Ian
It was a winner for sure Ian 👍
😂😂😂
WoW things degrading fast as translates to will you eat my A**E sorry not appropriate at all
That was so funny, Graham and thank you so very much 😂😂

We go to PP quite alot as I have a teenage daughter who drags her friends along on Saturdays, when we go shopping. it ti the best value you can get in Chelsea when you are paying for 4/5 people at one time.
The Queue on Saturdays is binkers!!
The Saturday Market in Duke of York Square has some lovely places to eat, but never as satisfying as PP.
Love your channel Gary,
That’s fantastic to hear thank you for letting me know, Tony
Another amazing video from Gary! True and honest reviews. Love it !
Thank you Benjamin
Phuc a duck Gary! Lol 😂

For 20 years I worked for the Singapore Air Force and the laksa really reminded me of great buffet lunches in Singapore that always included it. great video and thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Another great review Gary. The food was tremendous value for money. It always makes me laugh when you know the food is going to have a big kick to it snd you take a large mouthful and are taken aback by it. But that's all part of the fun watching your videos. It is an easy 9 out of 10. Looking forward to tbe next Gary wherever that maybe
That’s very kind to say, thank you very much

I have walked past this place a few times and always wondered what it would be like, being that it’s in Chelsea I thought it would be expensive, this is another place in London I will be trying thanks to you. Thanks Gary.
It’s definitely worth a visit
Firstly, Camera Man, amazing filming, fantastic shots and so clear that I could almost reach into the screen and taste this cuisine. Magnificent job you are providing all us subs with.
