I'm still playing Astral chain, I want S+ in all files, at least in Pt standard. Then I'll go with Link's awakening, and then dragon quest XI, sigh... At this rate I 'll play Luigi's Manssion 3 in juanary 2020, no regrets though, I'm having so much fun playing this awesome games.
The beat the Black Dragon feature is awesome, especially since the Chapter select/new game + feature will make it all too easy once you’re at a certain level.

I wish I had a Switch for this. I'm getting one in October, but it's going to take the rest of my spending money for the month, so I won't be able to get any games with it. I'll just have to wait for the end of october, early November to actually buy any.
There are plenty of demos, a few free titles, and lots of good games either on sale for or just regularly priced at only a few bucks. Spend some time browsing the eshop and you'll find some good titles to play until you can afford the expensive ones. I suggest Kamiko. It's a top down adventure game that's only $5.
since you can’t get any game till October or November, wait for Black Friday Sale and I also recommend the new switch (better battery) not lite. It’s too early to comment on joystick though i’m worried, it lacks a lot of features such as hd vibration, dock mode and such. As for accessories, all you really need is screen protector and a hard pouch. If you’re planning on buying splatoon 2 or zelda botw, pro controller is good too.

Thank you very much from the DQ team at Square Enix and Nintendo for bringing this masterpiece with all the features a Definitive Edition could have. Special mention to Mr Satoru Iwata who requested SE to bring the game over to NX/Switch years before, that man is a national treasure!
Another thing you may or may not know is that you can take your items(except for story related), money, and experience with you when you swap between 2D and 3D modes, and choose which chapter to start at. It's basically New Game+. Just be sure to make multiple save files. Because if you go back to the start of the game, and then want to go back to the end again, you'll have to go back to the end the long way.
Truly an epic game! Got it yesterday at Best Buy and am loving it! You can also continue where you left off on the demo! It is just a great game ,and it makes me feel guilty that I never got the chance to play the games before! It is very hard to find,so make sure you’re lucky to find the first one in store ,or do what I did free order pick up!

Most series changed and added new things like voice for all characters. Dragon Quest also has new entries. I would want to ask these people what *their* reason is to give every character wonderful voice actors, all but the central main character. It would so add to personality and give him new facettes that made the "hero" more interesting. 2. These people work for an international company that spans around the globe. So while being internationally active why is it then that they, like in this video, never speak English? Have they never learned the language or is it simply a matter of refusal?
Most japanese dont know much english, it's a very difficult language for them to learn. While Square Enix sadly has branches world wide these days, these developers work for the japanese mother company in japan.

Nintendo treats Dragon Quest like its their own game/series. Every mainline DQ game has released on a Nintendo console, Plus, when the game released last year, it got completely overlooked and overshadowed by Spider-Man and did not do good at all. On Nintendo Switch, it's getting way better marketing amazing review scores, a LOT of exclusive content, and it's going to do better on Switch. Especially with the Luminary in Smash Ultimate. Nintendo and Square just need to market/advertise Dragon Quest 11 S Definitive Edition through TV commercials on many major networks and tons of TH-cam ads.

The best thing anyone will tell you is download the demo. Unlike most of the schlock out there, Square and Nintendo offered up a 10 hour demo for those interested, free of charge.
I've had two instances of framerate hiccups... spanning 60+ hrs of play so far...and they happened during combat...which is turn based...so doesn't really matter. Both times were in boss battles, but some of those boss animations are pretty elaborate.
Played the demo... hated the combat and slow developing story. Didn’t feel engaging at all and was relieved to put it down... I’m sure others like it, but not my cup of tea.
Some JRPG's are hit or miss. I'm finally towards the end of my first playthrough...if you've seen the Dunkey video on the game, it's definitely a grinding slog at the endgame and I assume in the post game.

Advice for next time: don't put people in front of the camera who shouldn't be in front of the camera. These people need charisma. Maybe this works in Japan, but it doesn't work for western audiences. This just comes off as stiff and boring, and that's not how the game is, right?

here are three things you might not know: 1. it's already been on the PS4 for two years (see the game listing: Dragon Quest XI, *2017* ). 2. it looks and runs a million times better on the PS4 at a steady 1080p 60fps. 3. it's a weeaboo game anyway.
Point 4. Switch has great games and PS4 had great games. I just prefer Switch because Nintendo had only let me down in one aspect: Online services. Good thing Switch is portable, because I can easily play with my brothers, one that lives several states away from me, the other that lives a few miles.

Well, the Definitive Edition of DQ11 is one of the biggest third party exclusives the switch has gotten.
I read that Iwata wanted to make Dragon Quest more popular overseas, which might explain why they're heavily marketing it.

Didn't know you could beat Black Dragon.. I beat the demo and I'm continuing my saved game from that.
He ment to do to much damged to you at that point in the game you have low max hp and gear with low def boost if he attacks you u die in one hit
