personally, id suggest DQ 4, 5, or 8 before this one. i tried it on PS1 when i was a kid and hated it. i havent gotten a chance to try it since then, but ive played a good handful of DQ games since. it might be a great DQ, but if you dont like DQ, it might not be so great....

Chinese KO carts for GB to DS have had onoffical carts with 52 games in one cart, though they are crappy 8 bit games of NES era. Nintendo can make their own official releases in high quality.
Turn-based RPGs are rare and valuable! Glad its being done by someone other than Pokemon, because this genre really benefits from diversity and the Pokemon franchise has its shortcomings. 50 classes omfg!

0:13 Best explosion ever: 10/10. With those amazing sound effects, you can visualize the people on the street running in true horror and getting crushed by giant piles of debris. This is truly an amazing epic game for the ages.

Just wanted to drop in and give a big thanks to everyone involved on getting this to come to America. I have been petitioning with Operation Hero and sending Nintendo mail about it since the JP version released. Cant wait to play.
Man I remember putting so many hours into the original on the Ps1. Hard to remember but think I was pushing 200 hours when I beat the final boss. Then their were the bonus dungeons after that.

Damn. I play to many games. I've been paying of Trails of Cold Steel II, FFXV, both Yokai Watch 2 games and this for months now, most before they had release dates, and now I'm getting 5 RPG's in one month, and all within 3 weeks of one another. This isn't going to be easy, but it'll be hella fun.
Dragon quest 7, dragon quest 8, monster hunter generations and Pokémon moon are the games I am really looking forward to this year!!!!! Then dragon quest 11 whenever it comes out.

With the closing of the 3DS E-shop next year, I highly advise everyone who’s been sitting on the 2 available Dragon Quest games (VII and VIII) to just make the purchase so you can have them, as opposed to having to drop over $100 online, or more, to own a copy
I missed out on the dlc for Dragon Quest VIII. So glad they made the all dlc available for VII on the 3ds, just like DQ-IX. Before I rarely ever get anyone streetpass tags. I was able to tag someone who gave me a high leveled(Lv.93) tablet. I am not sure if there is any benefit for trading the tablets through the online service. Also the game is so great at looking like late 90s games.
You can still play joker 2, DQ 4, 5, 6 and 9 on DS carts, they work on the 3ds. Still, I would like Torneko mystery dungeon localized , Terry's wonderland 3D , and Ira and Lucca's adventure DS too.
Personally this was the game of my childhood ,I think I got my hands on one of them back on the DSI or DS ,this was an amazing game ,tbh I had more fun on this game and more immersed than the console games of that time
Definitely excited for this! I've been trying to get into this series, so far I've only played the first one on Android and while it's simple, I'm enjoying it so far (I know it's very different from this game by the way). So knowing this is coming out soon is perfect!

I personally dislike emulators and retro consoles. I'd rather play the game as its officially published, weither DS, 3DS, home console or even iPad.
