#27 Is a trick question.Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, which means it spends less time on the opposite side of the sun.Over many years time Mercury is the closest to all the planets.Venus gets closest to the earth on its orbit around the Sun.
Was wondering about that. Venus is the one we always see easiest. Mercury,I think,is so close to the sun it's really hard to see with the naked eye. Anyway...

Question #40 had me laughing out loud with the choices. I could just imagine someone putting shampoo or tequila on a rusty part to free it up, lol!
Your question is good for elderly but your too quick for them can you slowly down a bit for the benefit of my grandpa

I think that your quizzes are the best that I have come across. I have debated long and hard over the last 10 weeks whether I should comment about this, but you have turned the butchery of pronunciations into an art form. This is not a personal attack but hopefully a constructive criticism that you may wish to address. In this particular quiz, you should consider Machu Picchu and Nikita Khrushchev as examples which need to be addressed. Keep up the great work and don’t be disheartened with my comments. Stay well.

I am sure Adrian that you and I would pronounce those names differently. A Russian may well pronounce Khrushchev that way but a Yorkshireman might not. I think Detormentis does a brilliant job of pronunciation under often difficult circumstances. 👍

Mercury is not the closest planet to earth.
This is a trick question. The question wasn’t which planet’s orbit is the closest to earth’s orbit, but rather “on average” which planet is actually the closest to earth. So you have to calculate the distance between earth and the other planet at any given moment and then take the average of these distances. When Mars is on the far side of the sun (180 degrees away from earth, then the distance between Earth and Mars is quite large. The same goes for Venus. But Mercury’s orbital radius is very small; so when it is on the far side of the sun it isn’t a lot farther than when it is on the near side of the sun.

i got 50 i can not trust because i am 10 years old and i am from pakistan and the bonus point i know it it is tandoori indian dish but also pakistani dish and when football and the other games questions come like fifa etc i solved it very easily.
Sadly, 36. Should’ve been around 40, there were about 10, I just did not know and all the head scratching time I could’ve taken wasn’t going to help.

I did great in a few categories. Mostly scored high in animals of the world and Brands and products. Was thinking that I'd do horribly with Brands and Products and do well with Geography. Still scraped a 29

Actually Sean there is a subspecies of sea otter that is native to the Caribbean Sea and along the Atlantic coasts of Central and North America. Latin name is, Enhydra lutris atlanticus. I investigated this because I have seen them swimming and feeding near my seaside home in Newfoundland, Canada.

I like your quizzes but I have to question your question about the sea otters. I used to live in Virginia which is on the Atlantic Ocean and I would sea otters on the rocks
I looked it up. You are possibly referring to the North American river otter, inhabiting inland waterways and coastal areas in Canada, the Pacific Northwest, the Atlantic states, and the Gulf of Mexico. Was there a river mouth nearby?
