I like the idea of creating more space! It forces you to cover it quickly, which generates more racquet head speed. It's the same reason I like having a low and quick toss. Definitely gonna look at my serve and see if any of my positions can be optimized. Thanks!
You have a Insta ? I been trying to put together a Sampras serve as well and have the same issues . Biggest one being the elbow extending out so much right before the racquet head drop . Still on a quest to replicate its difficult to get all the pieces together .
Yup, my insta is @GravityTennisChannel. One key for getting the elbow lift is the cartwheel element of the serve, or "shoulder over shoulder." Mark Kovacs has some helpful pointers for achieving this.
