If you have tennis elbow string loose with natural gut. Stay away from slice backhands and It will go away.

I did that, by dropping string tension substantially and made sure I didn't hit late, always making contact with the ball in front. If I were late, I would hit a volley even from the baseline, as long as the contact point is in front of the body. I didn't care about missing such shots. Combined that with certain exercise for the elbow, and I fixed it completely without having to stop playing. And I keep the same set up of tension now that my tennis elbow is gone. But the key is never attempt to hit a fast ball when it had passed your body. You have to attempt a half volley or volley, but you have to hit in front of you body. If your reaction is not fast enough, just let it go. It's not worth the injury.

I just rest my index knuckel and heal pad on the edge of the racket bevels so between bevel three and four . Can still get big spin and penetration so i’m happy with it . Though i might try this .

I have them all: Gamma, Klippermate, Eagnas, Premium 3600 . If stringing> 55lbs tension, the Klippermate is a nightmare because the cam gripper will slip, over time it gets worse. Linear gripper is a champ... Even better than Drum gripper. Drum gripper with electronic stringing is fine. If manual drop weight, better go with linear grip: stronger grip force, less effort and much much more durable. My Gamma Drum gripper slips after 8 yrs. Linear gripper 16 years old - still grips like a champ. Be sure to use metal clamps don't settle for Nylon clamps. If you like drop weight stringer: premium 3600 is the best machine on the market. Key Parts are stainless steel and rust resistant compared to peer stringers. It has auto alignment and no screw down mounting needed that will damage racquets. The cheapest bang for the buck is Eagnas flex100 linear gripper. Metal clamps. But the machine pulls 8 lbs lower. Just need to string at higher tension to get the right feel.

I’m in my 50’s just getting back into tennis and all the recommended rackets are all 10-11 oz, 280-310g. I took a 295g racket and it felt too light to me. I played it, could feel the vibration on off center hits travel up my arm. No one talks about vibration and energy transfer, but each time you hit the ball you are transferring the energy of your racket into the ball. It doesn’t transfer 100% into the ball, so what happens to the left over energy? It is vibration and heat absorbed by your racket. but the lighter your racket, the less mass there is to absorb the unused energy. So where does the left over vibration go? IT GOES INTO YOUR WRIST AND ELBOW! I started adding weight with a leather grip, lead tape inside the grip and the head until it felt better. I got it 320g and it plays much better. Now I am playing testing a Head Prestige, at 330g and so far it feels and plays even better.

I don't think I'll worry about more than 300-315 gram range. Reaction time is more important to me than hitting the ball harder than what's needed, especially playing doubles.

Pump the brakes, pal. A lighter racket doesn't generate more power than a heavy one at the same head speed. You can't just rewrite physics for a TH-cam video.

What a bunch of crap advices. It's easy, if you are a strong swinger, powerful arm and wrist, you can either use a lighter or less lighter or heavy racquet if you like. Same goes for weak swingers, weak arm power players, they can either go with light or heavy racket and see the impact they are able to create. There's no rule of thumb, all nonsense, you just need to know your capabilities and power, what kind of game you are able to create. The technicalities don't count

I tried my best to get good with a 2 handed backhand since it's what my couch taught me. I became somewhat good but was EXTREMELY inconsistent. I tried one handed one day and it literally was at the same level of my forehand (which was pretty solid in a good day imo), probably even more consistent and could deliver really speedy shots which made me really glad and feel like Federer 😂 For some reason, I couldn't coordinate both hands into a backhander that well and running with both hands touching the racket made me lost a lot of balance. The one hander instantly eliminated those problems and felt awesome the first time I tried it.

I just can’t seem to get the hang of feeding with a continental. I can’t reliably hit the ball where I’m aiming when I have that grip. However, I have total directional control with my eastern forehand. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I can serve with a continental just fine. Just can’t feed it. 😢

I can tell you from years of playing and severe forearm tendinitis that first you have to start with the racquet weight that you can get head speed and be able to be early with ground strokes, a heavy racquet is useless if you can't get it moving. If mechanics are sound and you have no problem keeping up with your level of ground strokes than move up in weight but remember if a big hitter comes along with higher velocity ground strokes and serves that heavy racquet will be way late and best you keep say a Babolat pure drive lite until your timing improves to the faster speed. As for any tendinitis, it makes a huge difference to lighten the tension and use an arm friendly string like a gut or a hybrid but definitely no luxulon or heavy tension like 65lbs I recommend 55 or less. Remember if you can't keep up with your partner and struggle with reflexes on volley switch to a lighter racquet until it improves. Trying to swing a 350gm racquet requires extreme coordination and timing. Try 260 to 300gm max.
