Up to Constantine, you say? Clearly you must mean Constantine XI, so I will be expecting no less than a coverage of nearly 1500 years of Roman history. Kidding obviously. This was a fun video; I will always leave a like for Rome content.
2:10 There's an advert on the radio for checkatrade or something, the man says "I'm Julius Caesar, an emperor- not a tradesperson" and I'm unreasonably annoyed every time.
Brilliant! I know you hate military stuff, but Claudius did indeed bring Elephants to Britain. They found a skeleton near the Medway, where it is known there was a battle with the brits.
So in sum: Augustus - the GOAT Tiberius - "I miss my wife I don't want to become emperor 😭" Caligula - the original troll Claudius - "I can't control my wife. Or my bowels 💩" Nero - NECKBEARD
all them emperors after octavian should thank to the one man who make rome an empire & the capital itself a marble, without him there wouldn't be a Roman Empire as we know it
As for big Augy's Marriage Laws, according to my favourite gravestone in my Parish Churchyard, (yes I have one), a lot of young people died as infants, toddlers and even teenagers. So ensuring baby had a mummy and daddy by law seems a good way to increase the population after an horrendous civil war. Even then many were lost if not most. What's your favourite gravestone???
Thank you so much! And a great question! There’s lots of very cool ones in Greyfriars Kirkyard here in Edinburgh, so many lovely ones it’s difficult to choose one favourite!!
Hi Rhi. I liked it and I gave it a like. I even subscribed. 😀 I like Boudicca too. You remind me of her if that makes sense. Bear in mind that I am from Australia. And I was watching a documentary on the Celtic civilization just before I saw your video. 😅 In which Boudicca was mentioned but the guy pronounced it Boudicea. I used to say it like that myself, but now I know her as Boudicca. And before that I was watching a video of the history of the Scottish people. That is because I searched for that. So the algorithm has led me to this video and you have a Scottish accent and could be Boudicca if you made a video reinactement of her. 👍
You mean, this series should go all the way up to Romulus Augustulus, or technically Julius Nepos, not Constantine. That is if you wanted to cover all emperors until the fall of rome in the 5th century, but then again that was just the western half of the empire, if you truly wanted to cover all the emperors you would have to cover all the Eastern Roman emperors also, all the the way up to the death of Emperor Constantine XI in the 15th century... I guess now I will prob be considered one of those nitpicky Rome nerds you spoke of in the beginning of the video
(Disclaimer: Please Read the entire Comment i promise it isnt a Hate Comment!) Damn. I tried to give you chance! but sadly i noticed you arent very Qualified to cover Roman History. You barely talked about the Achievements of the Emperors. You basically just Called Augustus a Mysoginist and moved on ignoring many of his Achievements. You did mention a few but not even barely enough. And you cant ignore Millitary History because thats most of Roman History. The Crisis of the Third Century is basically just Millitary History. And you praised boudicca. She wasnt a hero. Infact she sacked every city she came to and Tortured the innocent Roman Population to death by Boiling them and one account even mentions her cutting Breasts of Roman Women off and feeding them with it. She was an absolute Monster and im actually glad Paulinus defeated her. The next thing i have to critisise are your Sources. You mainly used Wikipedia, Britannica and BBC even. These are not good Sources! You did cite Your sources. Thats Admirable atleast. I havent Checked for if you Plagiarised or not but it didnt sound like Plagiarism. But yeah i noticed that you know nothing about Roman History. My Question is: Why Cover Roman History if you dont Know much about it? But hey im sure you may get better if you listen to my Criticism. (: And my my Morbid Curiosity just wants to see you cover all of Roman History. So even though you may not know that much about it i still Encourage you to learn more about it. Maybe you could use this series as a Learning Experience. Just try to be more fair to Roman Emperors and dont judge them by their Personal life but Rather by their Political Actions. I did subscribe to you to see you continue this series. But Remember i am a Roomaboo and thus very Critical. But Criticism is not a bad Thing but rather a good thing that people can use to learn from their mistakes and get Better. Have a nice Day. (:

All Hail Empress Rhi the first mistress of all she surveys.
Place your bets of when the petrorian guard betrays her.
Brilliant! I know you hate military stuff, but Claudius did indeed bring Elephants to Britain. They found a skeleton near the Medway, where it is known there was a battle with the brits.
ONLY 708 VIEWS
HOW???
So in sum:
Augustus - the GOAT
Tiberius - "I miss my wife I don't want to become emperor 😭"
Caligula - the original troll
Claudius - "I can't control my wife. Or my bowels 💩"
Nero - NECKBEARD
Is there a part two to this series?
A bit surprised you didn't go into the rumors about Tiberius' bath boys, his "little fish", at his island escape, and their regular .. disappearance.
